I'm glad you brought Destiny back (it's been a while). I really wish we would have regular content with X-Wing (it's been so long!), L5R, Destiny, Netrunner...
And the tournament coverages... I get it that other people are doing it but, with all respect and appreciation I have for anyone who's recording or streaming the tournaments, no one does it with the Team Covenant quality. IMHO the X-Wing System Open final with triple Scouts vs Imperial Aces was the best tabletop gaming coverage ever! I really miss that degree of care and quality .
I get it that it would not be feasible for every game from every tournament, but it would be great to see again the "regular" coverage for swiss/cut on big tournaments like X-Wing System Opens, L5R Grand Koteis, Worlds, etc. and maybe even the "premium" coverage for those tournament finals. :)

Got the two player set for Christmas. This has become my son’s and my favorite tabletop game. It’s much easier to buy a 3 dollar booster than x wing ships in a budget. Have to accept that I won’t have everything but it’s so much fun to open up packs when I get one. Thanks for the videos on this game. Your videos have been a great learning tool! I'm new to this game as of this week and already watched an older video you guys put out of actual game play but I'm looking forward to the newer version to go along with this series. Great job on this "What is" video!
I'm sure there are plenty of single cards that a lot of people ask questions to better define what the card does but there are two things I've seen come up more than once that I still get confused about...
1) When an upgrade card includes the word "Redeploy"... what exactly does that mean? I'm assuming that it can be placed automatically under another character if and when the character it's it's currently gets removed from the game.
2) Similar question but what does it mean when a card says "assign the "Guardian Keyword"?
Are there many Keywords in the world of Star Wars Destiny?
It would be excellent if you touched on this in your next video for some of us new guys/girls.

Thank you Duc! So great to hear. We do address your questions in upcoming videos, but quickly:
1) Redeploy - when a character is defeated, any upgrades with redeploy can be immediately attached to any other character(s) on your side of the board. Just slide the upgrade(s) over!
2) Only a few Keywords, which you can find in the rules reference. Guardian means that when the character with Guardian activates, it can remove an opponent's die showing damage and apply that damage to itself. Like a good bodyguard would.
Great tutorial! You can tell the game was designed by Lukas Litzsinger. The way of resolving dice reminds me a lot of the way of resolving combat tokens in Runebound third edition, another one of his designs. Star Wars Destiny is awesome. Too bad they already closed it :(

Will you be doing coverage of the upcoming and current X-wing tournaments? I was an enormous fan and subscribed to this channel due to how entertaining those streams with your coverage was. I was an enormous fan of how these videos, covering large tournaments, helped build the competitive x-wing community and was a key factor in getting me into x-wing. I am very excited to be able to enjoy these streams with the upcoming x-wing tournaments.

Haha, I just played the starter 2 player game last night with a friend. I played team Kylo and he played team Rey. I won twice, it was very one sided against for the first half of the first game, and then it was very one sided for the second half. The second game was very one sided in favor, but then balanced out towards the end and Phasma had one life left when she finished the goodies off. Anyway, it was very random, and kinda crazy/frustrating at times.
By the end of this series, nothing will seem random!
Except those times when you roll all blanks...
That happened to my friend just before the very end of the final game, he only had to roll one damage, on three dice, and re rolled them 3 times and got blanks or resources each time, it hurt to watch.
He got an all expenses paid trip to Blank City. Most of us just visit. Some of us end up living there.

If you use a card Action, such as described @23:47, do you exhaust the card or not? (I believe not...)
It really depends on the card here Jake, cards played from your hand are usually discarded. Supports and upgrade are not, if the text does not begin with Action. Ie - Bubble shield can be used at any time and it does not exhaust.
I bought the two starter boxes before this inclusive set came out... is there any reason to get this box? Probably one of the most popular noob questions, sorry!
the 2 player starter has some of the best cards in the game. rey and poe has been a dominating deck and poe has many great pairings from the new legacies sets. kylo is considered the best character in the game, as he has the potential to do 2 extra damage a round with his ability. this starter also has very powerful cards like rey's lightsaber, poe's blaster, crossguard lightsaber, sound the alarm, and several others. it's worth buying 2 of these to get 2 of each character die, as well as duplicates of the other cards you'll want to play in several decks.
Peter is right - there are great cards in there. But if budget is the primary concern, using your current starters is just fine! We will cover this in the buyer's guide as well. Picking up a couple of starters with the characters that you like is a fine option.

Could you attach the Rey's upgrade (blue die) to Poe who is a red character?
I believe I found my answer, "The color of a character and its upgrades do not have to match. A character can have an upgrade that does not match its color," according to the 1.5 Rules.
That is correct, though there are cards, like Force Lightning, that specify "Blue characters only".
You MAY want to get RUclips to NOT link the page to the Destiny Videogame, however....
We are working on it, it is surprisingly difficult to remove!

We took a pass at it originally, but we have 1) honed the learning model since then and 2) the fundamental upgrade replacement rule has changed - so those early videos are no longer accurate!

It would seem hollywood's love of reboots has infected Talus, OK. The Destiny How To did need a refresh. Other good video guys.
It is January after all. Reboot season! Worth noting too that the upgrade replacement rules change made those earlier videos inaccurate.

U may say that I’m lying but before this game came out I thought there was a movie called Star Wars destiny and I as wrong and then I said there going to be a game or something called Star Wars destiny and look I was right for the first time I told the future

i cannot support a collectible game; that's a shame because the design is brilliant but i juste HATE buying blind boosters
There are some strategies that get around the blind booster buying that will be covered in the buyer's guide, but with Draft/Sealed and Saga Sets, things can get as blind or not-blind as you like.
Harder to draft if you don't live in a city though
By just buying starters you can have a pretty fun pool of cards to choose from for the price of a board game.
