Well, never mind what the judges say, you are the best dancer. I also can't understand why the judges keep saying that you don 't show enough expression on your face?!. The gentleness and softness that you showed dancing the waltz and the masculinety and strength of the pasodoble and in the tango.!!! You are a natural and genuine person, which is rare to see in the showbusiness world. You are the best!!!!
Another beautiful creation by Aliona & Jay, perfect footwork Jay, shame about the 'tiny' stumble but otherwise just amazing...... '6' from Craig, was he not watching the same dance as us?? I still think Jay & Aliona will win, Jay's poise and footwork just wonderful, I do think he's the best celebrity dancer they've ever had ..... Before this I'd never heard of Jay McGuiness, but now I can't see enough of him... FABULOUS darling!
Aliona manages to choreograph the most emotion felt dances, reminds me of how heartfelt her V. Waltz with Harry Judd was. I think Jay reminds me a tad of Sophie Ellis Bextor, that he had his ace dance early on in the season, so they pretty much underscore him compared to the other celebs because of that.
The spinning of Aliona at the start gave me chills along with the whole feel of the routine! I hope to god that they perform this at the keep dancing tour it would be phenomenal what gorgeous and underrated dance.
loved it so much!! even with the little stumble. Craig was so harsh though, even bringing him up in Katies (I think) comments! he said he has 'no personality', but he's just shy! i'm like him, and it's not something you can just change overnight, but he's trying so hard to overcome it! Craig is fine to mention the emotion etc, but I think the way he brought it up, and underscored, is going to do nothing help his confidence.
I would like to see Jay and Aliona properly scored for the wonderful job they've been doing so far. They've been UNDERSCORED over the past few weeks. For their Jive performance they received a 10. Their Argentine Tango was AMAZING as it was executed to perfection and tonights Salsa again a smashing job well done. A couple of weeks ago Jay did trip and got punished by Craig for it, which indeed was a slap in our faces. Aliona clearly puts the emphasis on perfection and optimal TEAMWORK making sure Jay is getting better each week. I am well pleased to see them perfom in the Blackpool show. Jay and Aliona are definitely my FAVOURITE TEAM ;-)
His grandad died on the night of this dance no wonder he was having problems getting through it properly. What a fantastic dancer he is to actually get through that at all
Just watched again. It was amazing , even with the little trip. It gave me goosebumps. If they get to the final I hope they get to do it again. The start when they intertwine their fingers and lean their heads on one another is simply beautiful x
This is an amazing performance Jay and Aliona! Yes, it's unfortunate that you tripped up, and the clash with your head at the end but they are just small minor things that you can easily be prepared for next time!:) I can't imagine how much pressure you feel after your incredible jive, but your arms and hands are so elegant and your footwork is incredible in this performance, as always, Jay! I noticed the smile on your face throughout which shows the emotion is coming through, and just be more confident in yourself! You didn't receive a 10 for no reason!
Why the judges keep putting him down? Is it because he is the best in the competition? Love him! Georgia is ok, but everybody can be good with Charleston! Jay to win!!!
I love Jay as he is ,why should he do something that makes him feeluncomfortable, cheezing around, EHH,he is being true to himself rather than faking things,at the end of the day he is the BEST dancer there.
"No emotion"? Pah! I got kindness and loving tenderness, which are a) underrated qualities, and b) match the music & lyrics. CRH has said on many occasions he likes "filth" in a dance; he's just not fan of subtlety.
They are my winners and have been from Day 1. I love the way Aliona choreographs the dances to suit Jay and her connection to perfection! I was gutted for him when he tripped and was then further insulted by Craig giving them a 6?? That was just ridiculous and I would love to know what made him do that as it as was obviously *not* a 6 point dance. I am a professional dance teacher and I think that Jay & Aliona, Team GG, Peter & Jeanette and Anita & Gleb that will be the final 4. I'm not overly keen on Anita as I don't find her very elegant in the Ballroom dances usually, last night being an exception! Anyway, that's my 2 pennies worth. OD x
+Lara Mulgrew 1:25. He caught his foot on the floor. Did you see last nights show? In 'Len's Lense' they had a much closer look at it. It was just one of those things unfortunately. But it's a total nightmare when it happens in competition! OD x
Boba T I just don't get that.....you can see that he really *feels* every move and is nearly *bursting* with emotion. Every time they meet eyes he smiles so lovingly at her and she smiles back...have a look. It happens in every single dance. Tbh...I think he has feelings for her but as she is married and he is a total gentleman he's not going to go there.
Ahhhh this routine just made me gather some tears I'm so happy they won but I really would have loved to see this routine again without that tiny blip... everything from the beginning just had this seamless flow it looked like he was so into it. For Craig to give him a measly 6 is criminal when he seems to be awarding 9's to routines which are a million times worse and full of mistakes.
This was such a stunning dance and would have been 10's but for the blip. Why do the judges have to be so gushing over the likes of Peter Andre or Helen George? They are so hard on Jay yet he is head and shoulders above the rest. Only team GG is creeping up on them.
I feel like the judges are deliberately under-marking him, simply because they know how amazing he can be as a dancer. Now they are nit-picking over every little inconsequential thing, like his facial expressions. Craig gave him a 6 for this. There have been other contestants on the show who are nowhere as good as Jay is, and they get 7s and even eights. I'm sorry, but I don't think they are being fair to him at all, and it's really ticking me off.
This chap is so endearing! No, not great song choice for Foxtrot, but they made it their own regardless! He seems like such a sweetheart. And anyone else think it's kind of funny he only had to last past one elimination to be Aliona's best partner since 2011? XD
Courage Jay- the dance was so so beautiful - I am glad you got through to Blackpool ok. Ignore all the hype about the facial expression; ultimately the public will vote for you anyway because you are sweet & talented and Aliona is the best pro. Love you Aliona and Jay xxx
This looked near perfect despite a minor incident near the end which has happened to other contestants, who still got good marks. But it is becoming almost impossible to say who will win this year's competition, which makes it really good viewing.
Beautiful, ballroom dances are hard to show emotion in anyway (apart from tango) and it is very normal to trip during a dance I have seen people competing and falling to the floor on top of each other. I'm also close to slapping Craig
Jay was Craigs whipping boy unfortunately because he wanted Kelly and Kevin to win but throughout it all he was always the gracious and without doubt the best dancer
Jay is an amazing dancer and I hope he can start believing in himself again. I think his confidence is knocked by the relentless references to his lack of facial expression as he dances. He tripped yes but did he deserve to be so harshly marked for this stumble when the rest of the routine was beautiful!
He's wearing his week one Cha-cha trousers again, with those silly looking pockets that spoil his lines when he's supposed to do a lyrical foxtrot. I am surprised that the producers put a slow number as a closing dance for the night, must be because Jay did a perfect rehearsal run then. It's unfortunate that he made a boo-boo mid-dance (like Georgia), but otherwise all the things required for a foxtrot, Jay did them, and did it with style and elegance too. At first I thought he missed some heel-leads but I realised he DID do the heel leads in the slow bits while he uses his toes rightly at the the quick-quick bits when he was gliding across the floor with Aliona mirroring him when they broke hold mid-routine (from 1:11 - 1:16). Can't fault this dance, mistakes aside, I would say easily an eight (won't be surprised if the judges look past that mistake and even dish out a nine).
I think he danced second or third on the show. I really enjoyed this and it was nice to see Jay smiling during the dance. The judges were harsh (I think that every week tbh but it seems especially the case here). They scored him 6,8,8,8. The 6 was a bit of a sour note really and they both looked a bit upset.
+Estella Hunter WHAT?! SIX?! From Craig?! Did he slip and hit his head or something?! **fumes** Okay, on rewatching I found two mistakes, one obvious one from possibly wardrobe mishap mid-dance and then Aliona's elbow hitting his face towards the end (which rendered their last hand movement awkward). I can understand if Craig gave a seven, but six?! Why?
+Scd Observer Yeah, I think Craig said he found it a bit bland and boring and he still isn't getting enough expression from Jay. Seems unfair to mark them down so severely for that though. The other judges were fuming too!
+Scd Observer I think the six from Craig was because of his lack of emotion. There were no goosebumps from this dance, technically it was beautiful but there was no love or passion, at times it looked as though he was almost sneering. If you compare the emotion in this to Peter Andres VW from this week, it's very clear. Peter's dance looks like the dance of someone hopelessly, desperately in love. Jays looks like he's been told what to do so he's doing it, with little/no chemistry between them. looking at it like that I understand Craig's score.
Anybody else getting tired of old Botox face having a go at our Jay? Sick of it! He wants to look in a mirror sometimes. He's acting like Jay rebuffed him on the stairs!
I really hope he wins, It's not only his natural ability and I really can't stress it enough, but he is such a joy to watch. So elegant and effortless. I prefer him to many of the male pros as he isn't so aggressive with his moves. There is a lovely old school romance and charm about how he carry himself, which I haven't seen in a long time. So it makes it refreshing to watch. Hope he dose well in the rumba.
I've noticed he tries to get through the dance as quick as he can, but with the Rumba you have to be elegant, patient and pronounced. I'm so looking forward to it, because it will be a culmination of ALL his skills and talent. He needs to bring his #dirtysexface too. Xx
Have you heard the song their dancing to? Because it isn't a sexy song it's a tender loving song, so I don't think Aliona will ask him to do something he won't be feel comfortable in doing. He should be fine with it as he has great arms and and foot placement plus he's got a great stillness which is a difficult skill to master in dance, to any kind of music. I wish them well.
Even without the stumble, it would be 9s at best for me. He kinda looked like he lost control when he dragged her on the floor as she did the spins. Also, yeah he does lack the performance side of it. Maybe the song didn't help either.
This was def one of their weakest dances. He wasn’t able to play the romantic adult male lead and it felt like aliona was reminding him of steps/moves like pulling his head down to her
This was simply beautiful to watch, even with the little stumble. They dance so well together and Jay moves very elegantly.
Well, never mind what the judges say, you are the best dancer.
I also can't understand why the judges keep saying that you don 't show enough expression on your face?!. The gentleness and softness that you showed dancing the waltz and the masculinety and strength of the pasodoble and in the tango.!!!

Love watching him dancing , also Kelvin. 👌 Never has been a 2 that has impressed & still to this day does🥰

I'm sorry, did you watch Judy Murray XD
I love Jay as he is ,why should he do something that makes him feeluncomfortable, cheezing around, EHH,he is being true to himself rather than faking things,at the end of the day he is the BEST dancer there.
I still love watching this dance, even with the stumble. Absolutely gorgeous.

So goddamn beautiful. I sadly didnt see it live but I know his scores and know he should have got higher
ADORABLE AS ALWAYS , WINNERS!
No need to stress about facial expression, Jay should continue to do what he does best - dance from his soul.
Where was the trip ?
+Lara Mulgrew 1:25. He caught his foot on the floor. Did you see last nights show? In 'Len's Lense' they had a much closer look at it. It was just one of those things unfortunately. But it's a total nightmare when it happens in competition! OD x
+Oshie Dot I agree with you. I think he got the low score from Craig because of lack of facial expression, poor thing.
+Oshie Dot yes and plus you don't really want him looking like a Cheshire Cat smiling like Len said
I really want Jay to do Charleston or maybe a salsa I also think he would do a fantastic rumba because he's so elegant in slow beautiful dances
I also love Aliona. I think she is the most intelligent dancer of all the pro. And she is quite natural too.
I think judges comments It does't help him to show Emotion or whatever he is Amazing and joy to watch
They are perfect !!!!
Awww, that was really cute, such a shame about the little stumble, hopefully you'll make it to Blackpool, you deserve it
This was such a stunning dance and would have been 10's but for the blip. Why do the judges have to be so gushing over the likes of Peter Andre or Helen George? They are so hard on Jay yet he is head and shoulders above the rest. Only team GG is creeping up on them.
Even though he messes up, should have got a higher score. He's gonna get to Blackpool, no doubt x
Can't believe they improvised after the stumble!
I feel like the judges are deliberately under-marking him, simply because they know how amazing he can be as a dancer. Jay was so hard on himself for that stumble, but that only "ruined" like 15 seconds of the dance, the first 1,25 minutes were amazingly beautiful ♥️
a 10 until that trip
It was good
Who is the singer? He has a beautiful voice !
An easter egg for you. It's Anthony Brant, from the boy band V! Great voice (but don't tell him I said that)
Jay was Craigs whipping boy unfortunately because he wanted Kelly and Kevin to win but throughout it all he was always the gracious and without doubt the best dancer
Jay is an amazing dancer and I hope he can start believing in himself again. I think his confidence is knocked by the relentless references to his lack of facial expression as he dances. I didn't see a 'trip'...CRH is way too harsh on Jay. He's been my winner since that jive...
The decoration tho
Brilliant

Estella Hunter Like I say, one mark off for not expressing the dance, two marks off for two obvious mistakes. But six is out of order!
+Scd Observer I think the six from Craig was because of his lack of emotion. Did she just elbow Jay's face? :o 1:31
Anybody else getting tired of old Botox face having a go at our Jay? Sick of it! He wants to look in a mirror sometimes. He's acting like Jay rebuffed him on the stairs!
+Josephine Jupp . So true, my thoughts through out.
LoveDat65 He's definitely gonna do well in this competition. He's now up against 5 women, what are his chances?!!
I really hope he wins, It's not only his natural ability and I really can't stress it enough, but he is such a joy to watch. So elegant and effortless. Not impressed with judges scoring to them, hey ho they deservedly won🥳
