This is a superb interview MPRV. Back in the early 1980s, I really WAS that archetypal "14 year kid" who had my life completely changed by discovering Crass. After I discovered Crass, EVERYTHING changed for me (from life choices to diet). Crass were so much MORE than just music. They totally changed my life. It's sad that some members of Crass choose to belittle the enormous impact they had on people of MY generation, but Steve Ignorant is always a fantastic person who really understands that Crass had a huge positive impact on all of us who were ground down by the "Thatcher Era".
There's a mention in this interview of "young kids" turning up to Crass gigs & having to deal with Nazi skinheads. I can completely relate to that, as at 15 years old, I went to a Crass gig (in Perth, Scotland) that was one of their most violent ever, yet Crass were truly heroic in dealing with the violence from Nazi skinheads, and managing to run them out of the gig venue (You can find some audio excerpts from this gig on my channel).
From Crass onwards, "punk" was never just about music. It was about politics as well, and I love your channel, because it really DOES recognise that. Keep it up MPRV.

"From Crass onwards, "punk" was never just about music." Yes, because the music sucked.

"Anarchism isn't terrorism"? Please tell Antifa that, Steve.

Spot on. But being an anarchist in the 80s was a totally different thing. Now its just mindless scum doing the bidding of the government. The exact opposite of what it should be
