The reason the camera is hidden at the start is because the signs everywhere say they will stop the ride and kick you out if you film it... Ooops ;) Skip to 27 seconds in for the action.

@@themeparkcreator4416 no its not! I was told this but so was petrified when we got on back row(had only been on front otherwise) but it was fine, maybe I tolerate roughness more than others though because I seem to be the only person I know to enjoy infusion at blackpool!

It looks so slow on the videos. It's better in person
This was my first real coaster the other one was sonic but this is like 10 times faster and you can feel it pushing you back down onto your seat omg

Rita is criminaly underrated
Rita really needs new trains - the over the shoulder restraints make the ride even more rough and uncomfortable and aren't even required on a coaster that doesn't even have a single inversion.
The shoulder restraints are used to prevent whiplash on tight turns, like the first turn after the launch. If Alton Towers made the turn a little less snappier, lap Bars would have been possible.
It's better without inversions... i don't think rita would be the same with one in

Great way to avoid the no filming rules to go in cold weather with a jacket on. I always keep my cam in my pocket but they have really tightend up the rules now. Get caught and your ejected from the park. Probably due to the smiler they have increased their safety measures.
Works well in the UK, I looked a bit stupid wearing a jacket at Six Flags in the California sun
I can see it, but I know to look for it. It's not particularly obvious, and it's not like any of the staff spend all day closely inspecting all the photos. Nobody has ever said anything about it to me.

The first time I went to Alton Towers I was terrified but after I got off I wanted to go on again,if you're going there go on Rita because it's really fun
P.S:if you do go on hold on to the shoulder restrain not the handles because it gives your body more protection with the speed,enjoy the ride!!!!❤️😁👍

Part of the track is green this is because the height restrictions of how high they can build.

I went on this ride for a school trip and i forgot to keep my head back so my neck was like about to break and wasn’t touching my chest and i could lift it back up for like 2 seconds 😂😭

British Thrillseeker we’ll depend on height really or where you sit, front row is nice and you can feel every bit of force however I find 3 trains or further back to really bash my head especially me being 5,4 foot tall but that’s just my opinion. Still a funny joke itself 😂

oh because on The Smiler and Saw, I thought that my restraint would come loose so I held onto the shoulder harness as there were no seatbelts so do not hold onto the shoulder harness while on Stealth or Oblivion because they have seatbelts

FYI: this ride goes from 0-80mph in 1:30 seconds... it’s faster than it looks!
Rita goes from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds... Feels double that speed, though!
It’s a nice launch but offers very little else. Good fun on a quiet day but not worth a long queue.

No, Rita's a lot better than Stealth. Longer ride, better launch, nonstop speed, more airtime and just a better overall ride. Stealth is good but it doesn't have a kick to it like Rita.

O remember going on this and it honestly was rly fast but just before I went on oblivion so it didnt feel as bad (my brother was older than me when he first went on and he blacked out...kinda impressed I didn't) hehe

Karis Green I was using my GoPro in my hand on this and just before it launched off they took it off me then let me back on the ride. They don't kick you out unless you've done it several times.
