So G.W Bridge is a character from the X-Force comics that fought alongside Cable. If Giancarlo Esposito is playing this character, then he's perfect for the role. TBH, I rather have Giancarlo Esposito play as the scientist who started the Weapon X project for Weapon+. Professor Thorton.

Bridge is literally that - a bridge between mutants and the government/SHIELD. He is to X-Force in the 90's what Fury is to The Avengers in the MCU.A very cool choice that I'm excited about as a huge 90's comic fan.

Yes, if memory serves me he was second or third in command and a real hard ass depending on who wrote him. I believe he was killed off in the early 90's in an x force book.
I was hoping for him to play William Stryker so I am still very happy about this.

I support them bringing in an obscure, black character and giving them more of a spotlight than race swapping and causing unnecessary controversy. That being said, he is obscure and unknown. I have the x-force #1, which is his 1st appearance and a good run of the series and I barely remembered he existed.

If they do him right, he will definitely be a great character. I have a ton of the original X-Force comics. They need someone who can chew out the heroes, but we still like him because he's a badass. I think Giancarlo can do it- he has the intensity. I just hope they still make him a badass and not just someone who sits in the background and gives out orders.
he's gonna do for the mutant side of things, what fury has done for the avengers and contessa is doing for the dark avengers.
@@bandoogiemanz it is slightly different though- because he isn’t actually in charge of x-force. Cable is more like the Nick Fury of X-Force, while GW Bridge is their contact at shield. They work together sometimes, but their relationship isn’t as close as the avengers with Fury.
@@B1gBoyPants would be nice if both SHIELD & Hydra made a return. They blew up SHIELD way too quick in phase 2 or whatever and then they never really returned. We’ve only had Fury and Hill since then which they horribly disrespected & ruined both in Secret Invasion

It's a damn shame that Marvel has crapped all over the character ever since Larry Hama (Wraith's creator) stopped writing Wolverine. Some times the low level characters can be a better option in movies because they have more freedom to add to the character to make them more important without having to worry about the fan base coming at their throats for changing things from the source material.

Are MCU mutants gonna be made kinda like the Ultimates? Hugh Jackman isn't gonna continue to be Wolverine after Deadpool 3 and the MCU is gonna need a Wolverine! Hugh's aged out of it before the MCU even got started with mutants. I'm cool with X23 and Daken and Jimmy Hudson being in the MCU but they gotta get fresh actors to play the actual X-Men. Can't keep reusing Fox's characters (even if we all still love then).
