Do you start these indoors? I have seed and I received them from outside price. Calluna Vulgaris. I live in a cool short season area in 4a. Can these live through a winter in my below -34 weather.... or will they need a green house or something like that? I get mixed info and possibly because I needed to get the other Ericka? I have no idea... any info would be wonderful!

I saw one in my neighbors garden & I had to come to get more insight. This plant is beautiful when it bloom in winter. Looks mystical.
