This was really well done. Really helped me understand compaction and how to address. Liked the gag ad.

I’m actually full out CTF. People think I’m crazy because I do everything different, but we continue to thrive.

Awesome talk, Brian. Dr Tobby Keirs' snap of bidirectional flow inside the fungal hyphae you've used is indeed stunning.

Wow. Mind kinda blown here. That part about providing too much nitrogen through manure leading to soil structure collapse was a shock! I always thought maybe the worst is manure might be too strong and burn the grass leaves, but to lead to microbes eating the biotic glue to get their carbon... 🤯
I'm trying to heal our soils while (carefully) grazing horses. I always thought leaving their manure for the nutrients plus to encourage dung beetles was a good thing. Now I'm second guessing!
Thanks very much for sharing this knowledge and info!

I watched diverse cover species root system's in multiple States and they all stop at the same depth. The daikon radish is a favorite for diagnosing the uppermost density layer location or depth. Let's get real here.

Any thoughts on running a machine like the cursebuster to speed up the restoration process on compacted soils?

The machine is the only one built that sufficiently addresses the silt concentration or silt density layer to dramatically enhance root mass and proper architecture to rapidly facilitate aggregate formation.

I have a different idea for chronic wet spot(s)-restore the wetland, use these very attractive government programs, square-off the upland around it, and farm the good stuff. Draw your payment once a year, and watch the ducks.

Brian is not discriminating well the difference between water infiltration and percolation at 11 minutes.
