Wow! You've been putting out some really awesome content lately and this is another cracking explore! I can't believe that the power is still on in that stadium, can't wait for the next video👍
1:03 The rail in the center is a dead give away traffic is regularly using this track. When ever you are exploring tracks that is the first thing to look for. If it has a metallic sheen to it instead of brown rust, it's being used.
This area is going to be reconstructed soon. The government has already received the offers from private companies. The plan is to build two skyscrapers which will include hotels, casinos and a mall.
I’m not very into sports as well. I think what they done to the Olympic Park in London after 2012 is really well done.
The tram tracks are used as a passage between the Elliniko Depot and the main tram line
Some of the tents you saw probably were from a time, a few years ago, where refugees were being sheltered there. At the height of the refugge crisis, with Greece taking so much of the load, authorities were desperately looking for temporary shelter space and the Helliniko Olympic Complex with its swathes of abandonded interior space, was pretty ideal for that purpose.
This is so cool!
I wish this channel had more notoriety
And you wonder how Greece got themselves into all that debt!
RUclips is very strange... i saw guy exploring athens olympics 5 months ago and he got 185k views, but beno got only 4,6k views in 4 years.
The tramtracks were never used fo transport people the tram depo is just in the old airport and trams use them to go in and out of service
This is some great urbexing and shows you vercitility beyond lifts (still love the lifts though), so glad London didn't go this familer way.
Good morning,
Are these infrastructures still easily accessible today?
I’m not a sports person either, I was never any good at team sports/ball games at school I hated it. However I do enjoy cycling and walking in the woods to get my exercise. How long where the olympics ago? I can’t exactly remember but wasn’t it around 2004? The buildings don’t seem that old yet they are completely rusting away. Such as waste of if you ask me, they could have repurposed it as a multi use sport’s facility, the olympics have very high requirements and standards such a shame they let it go to waste like this. The tradegy with the olympics is that it almost always ends in a pool of tears for the taxpayers.....
London 2012 wasn’t with out its issues regarding legacy but certainly more successful than Athens
Well some stadiums of the Olympics 2004 were used to house the refugees that came during the mid 2010's
The fact the planes were still there made it even more creepy
Jacob Hood what planes
@@cookiemoney7451 watch the video again you will see
going to the roof is the most daring part.
It all looks very derelict including the railway tracks!
