That really is a fantastic abandoned hospital. Would make great flats, but I'd love to own all of it.
8:38 The irony of jamming a fire door open with a fire extinguisher. One fire safety piece of equipment used to completely compromise another piece of fire safety equipment.
In a hostel I lived in in 1993, the chavs often used the extinguishers as squirty toys, as they couldn't be arsed to get water pistols. The extinguishers had on them, "It is against the Fire Precautions Act to misuse this extinguisher" which probably encouraged them, and no action was taken against them anyway.
@@crazyleyland5106 I hate chavs and yobs. They seem to roam free doing what they like and they just like to cause trouble and misery to the public
That H&C Dover is kind of similar to the American Dover elevators but it has different buttons.
finally beno’s proper videos are back
You might want to have a look around Cardiff UHW, as it will be going in a few years
When I went to Mill Lane, Houghton Conquest, Beds, (to look for an old windmill) I was hoping to see a CU lamp post, with what I call a " tufted duck" bracket, as it appeared on Streetview. Complete and with a Sox lantern. But sadly it had been sleeved. Bedfordshire seem to be keen to make all their streetlights LED, at least in this area.
"tufted duck bracket" I like that name. I will call them that now. Have you seen any C shaped concrete utilities. They are ultra rare. When the bracket gets replaced I call this "decapitated".
6:33 This abandoned hospital should be your scene for your next short movie.
Such a amazing bit of the old hospital been replaced by the new hospital. Can see it turned into a retirement home. If it doesn’t get demolished and turned into apartments.
Hopefully it doesn’t get demolished?
How we can have a shortage of housing in the UK with places like this abandoned is odd..🙂
BENODEN HOSPITAL!
My hospital would be 340 meters tall and have 100 floors with 8 m/s MX40 Ecodiscs.
@@benolifts That is kinda slow… How about some 10 m/s Maxed our Kone MX100 ecodisks!
@@qeelevators2960 42.5 seconds from bottom to top. Seems good enough to me. I've seen high rises with worse.
@@TheDragonFire123 Not good enough for Beno! Overspec lifts are the best!
@@qeelevators2960 Since it's a fantasy, sure, why not go all out?
Hey Austin this is guys
Hey guys this is Marryat and Scott lifts.
Omg a DOVER!!!! You found another one!
In Braintree, a local department store had one. Since it was Braintree, the company closed the store, although it was their flagship shop. Now a furniture charity shop, the lift appears to have been buggered up, but there is no public access to it anyway.
0:52 the proper modernisation they made it better

The new 'active part' doesn't look very active... I thought hospitals were snowed under with patients gasping their last breaths???
