Larry good luck 🍀 with your appointment for your pain ! You definitely got a bargain on that Yamaha receiver , it’s got lots of features and you should hook it up to speakers to hear how it sounds . There must be time when the neighbors are away for a while. Good luck 🍀 again !

Glad to hear from you again. Those a/v receivers give you a lot for your money. Hope the second application works for you. I have this idea which I think has some medical rationale behind it, and that is to deliberately introduce a pain in a different part of the body when the neck pain begins. The idea is that this ‘confuses’ the brain as to which area to send the pain signal to with the result that the levels of pain that you now receive from both areas added together is less strong than the pain from the one area. How you would apply the secondary pain I’m not really sure, maybe an alligator clip to the calf, not directly on the skin, or something like that. Maybe mention it to the doctors tomorrow and see if they think the idea has any merit.
Thank you. I have Chiari Malformation 1 and the pain is throughout my body, but the worst pain is in my neck and shoulders, plus I have had a lot of pressure in my hands (and now feet) for about 20 years..

My idea was a bit of a long shot; so you would need to find an area that wasn’t in pain. If all else fails I suppose it might be worth a try. Best of luck tomorrow anyway.
