I know Mark Chapman as I went to the same school as he, we used to talk about the Beatles during lunch time. The Beatles album " Yellow Submarine " had just been released. Mark and his family had gone to the " yellow river drag strip " when a dragster called the " dixie twister " went out of control and into the crowd of people killing about 12 and injuring dozens more. Mark was buried under bodies. He suffered from post traumatic stress disorder and fugue as he was in a dream-state, he believed that he would become John Lennon if he killed him. There are most likely other preconditions complicating PTSD.

He said that kids are more into the Beatles and the TV, anything to do with entertainment really than stuff like religion and morals.
