Thanks for the info! Growing the full beard for the first time at 49 years old, and the way you styled your stache in the first part of the video is about exactly what I want to do with mine. Never thought my moustache would do anything but grow straight out and down, but using this method, it is actually starting to behave. The older I get, the more I appreciate and enjoy all different styles of beards and moustaches. The variety is actually the best part, I think. For me though, I'm not big on the full handlebar style moustache on me personally. It doesn't fit my personality. Your stache is more what I am going for.
Very educational, I have been using Col.Ickabod Conk mustache wax for years, (no longer available) it was a lot like a thick Vaseline, just pull out what you need, apply and done. Bought several brands they were all like a candle. Until you video didn't have a clue how to use. Haven't tried it yet, but make perfect sense, Thanx
any tips on how to get the little hairs right at the base of the lip to follow the rest of your whiskers? I have noticed that the bulk of my moustache is easily tamed with wax, but the little hairs right above my lip go straight down and dont like to be held by the wax.
Matt I tried growing my mustache longer 3 times and it absolutely drove me insane 🤦🏾♂️. I had it as long as as you have it and I had to trim it. I just couldn’t do it. Your beard is looking on point brother. Thank you for the tips! Maybe someday I will give in.😂👍🏾
Awesome tutorial Matt. Dig that stache you have there. I just recently started using canyouhandlebar primary wax. It's a great product for English style and loose handlebars. The consistency is right between beard wax and strong hold mustache wax. Again, great video boss.
Can you talk more about how you're trimming your mustache? Some people say not to trim at all, but it looks like you're trimming the center 1/3 or so of the stache? I have to do that to because that stuff doesn't seem like it would ever get long enough to become trained to the sides and it's annoying because it grows straight down.
Yes! That’s exactly what I recently did. It wasn’t growing as much in the middle and just looked messy. I just trimmed a tiny bit, but I feel it’s made a huge difference. I’ll do a video on it soon.
I know moustache wax has more hold , but does moustache wax or beard balm feel better in moustache? I have used moustache wax in the past and like the results just not how my moustache feels with the moustache wax in my moustache.
Beard balms don't offer a ton of hold, plus every beard companies beard balm is very different with only a few offering true hold. I would recommend mustache wax if wanted to keep a desired style throughout the day.
Looks easy 😐 I don’t know if you have this but I bet the trim is 50% of it. We get to see your trim in the beginning which is SUPER cool but I wonder if you’ve covered that before

I’m the same way, wax really helps. As I get older I do appreciate the different beard and mustache styles.
I've watched a lot of these videos and this is by far the most helpful, thanks!
Awesome stuff, thanks for watching!
Can't wait for the follow up mustache wax video. 👍
Thanks!
You’ve finally achieved that big mustache you’ve always wanted! It looks great. That looks like good mustache wax too. I might need to try some.
Thanks, loving the stache now. This is one of my favorite waxes. I think you would like it.

Awesome. I was trying to show my brother how to do it today. I just emailed him this video.
Thanks man!

I was the same way! This quarantine helped me finally get past that awkward stage.
Very helpful, thanks, I’ll be looking for your new videos!
Thanks for watching!
That is awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Massive stach, looks good brother.
Thanks!
Thanks for the tips. My mustache is at that point where it’s getting in my mouth but I want to keep growing 👍
Mustache wax is a must for me.
Fabulous mustache.
Thanks!
Very well explained!! Kudos sir...
Thanks for watching!
I used your hardest holding mustache wax you recommended it worked well in winter but in heat it doesn't hold. Any experience with high hold gels?
Thanks for the video. Definitely helped me.
Nice, glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
Great video brother, I'm starting to really get into the moustache waxes as well. So much better when you have some control on the ol' caterpillar.
Exactly!
Great tutorial, brother! I also have to ask, where did you get that fantastic hat?
Thanks for the video instructions.
Help! Am forever searching for THE wax that will provide an absolute STAY IN PLACE HOLD. Stash is growing still- white in color. Please advise
Is there any specific way on trimming your mustache for the natural handlebar? look the look about half way through the video
Appreciate the video! Great explanation and tutorial! 👍👍👍
Thanks man!
Beard and stash are looking killer brother
Thanks man!
ALPHA BEARD💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
I'm curious to see where the bottom edge of your moustache begins in relation to the crease of your lip
Stache looks great my dude!
Thanks man!
Love the video. Also love the hat! what style is it? Thanks stu
Thanks man, unfortunately I don’t believe the hat company is still around.
My mustache is pretty big now, so I need to start trying some different things. Great video and ideas! Maybe a little handlebar this week....
Nice!

I had the same question! Good to know. I can't get some of the center hairs to stay on one side or the other.
Definitely a must have when going out to eat. Good vid.
Thanks
Great vid thanks, quick question: when do you apply your beard oil right before the wax, or at diferent times of the day?
Thanks!
Not before the wax, because the oil will make it impossible for the wax to get to the actual hair, and will not work properly.
Would this style be similar to the gunslinger?
That's a beautiful moustache. I'll try again but it doesn't seem to work for me.
I know moustache wax has more hold , but does moustache wax or beard balm feel better in moustache? I have used moustache wax in the past and like the results just not how my moustache feels with the moustache wax in my moustache.

Ha! That's what I need to do! Been trying.
Nice!
on point, great video.
I have had mine for 5 years now and for some reason the past few weeks it has not been behaving to get the look I like.
Interesting, maybe try switching up your products or styling routine.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Should you put beard oil or conditioner on before using wax?
I prefer not to put anything on before using mustache wax. It makes the wax work better.
@@NoBSBeardReviews thank you!
i dare say we have very similar looking mustaches lol. i hate using wax... tempted after this video
Fun to try every now and then.
And does it wash out easily?
Takes a little work, but not bad.
Can be applied daily?
Yes, just make sure to wash it out so you don’t get a build up of wax.
That’s the look i want for my beard
Nice! It’s pretty easy to maintain.
How many days the mustache preserves its own shape with wax?
I typically wash it out every night.
@@NoBSBeardReviews thanks for answer
How long does it last
8-10 hours
Matt do you trim the middle of that stach?
Yes, I just started to last week.
Matt, A MAGNIFICENT Mustache Tutorial... Thanks for sharing Your Insight & Experience 🤓👍❤️ #epicstache
Thanks for watching, and the kind words!
Have you tried mustache wax from beard brand? If yes, does it have a good all day hold?
The mustache wax from Beardbrand does not offer much hold. It’s not meant for handlebars.
As Beards and Banjos mentioned, their wax is a light hold. Good for a more natural style.
I applied my mustasch wax today but it didnt hold :-( did I have to little wax ?
But today I managed!
Try using a little bit more, but it could be the wax type is not a firm hold.
Good vid!
you can make mustache wax with equal mass beeswax and cocoa butter, melted and mixed
Nice mix!
That's a proper beard.
Thanks!
Looks easy 😐 I don’t know if you have this but I bet the trim is 50% of it. We get to see your trim in the beginning which is SUPER cool but I wonder if you’ve covered that before
I don't believe I have, and you are correct, the proper trim does make it easier.
Nice
Thanks
Matt, has anyone ever told you, that you look like Zac Brown? Especially with that hat!
Every now and then, I’ll take it!
@@NoBSBeardReviews Yeah, for sure! I enjoy most of his music, except maybe his last album 🤣
Cool Video! Could you tell where your hat is from?
Gentlemen’s Corner, link is in the bio plus a discount code.
Thanks for the tip with the thumb on the hard wax. But you roll your wax in your fingers into a ball like I roll a good booger.😅
Bahahaha!
Legendary beard. Wish I could grow that.
nice hat bro
Thanks man, there’s a link in the video description and discount code if you want one.
First!!! FINALLY!!!
Congratulations!
Man, 74 years old and NEVER used mustache wax! 😂Decided to buy some. "Death Grip." Apt name! Stuff is like pin tar!
You picked a great one to try! Probably one of the strongest holds out there.
Does that wax work on black men? Our hairs naturally tougher 🤷
Not sure, my guess would be yes though.
That hat is BS
