Hi friends! Sorry about the glitch at 5:47 - I've cut it out in RUclips Studio, but it takes several hours to update (and I didn't want to take the video down and re-upload) not sure why this happens, but it's something with the upload because the original file looks normal! 🤷‍♀anyway - here's the link to the end card video I mentioned (not sure why that doesn't seem to be showing up either!!
    ruclips.net/video/x13tMojJapw/видео.html
thank you for your patience - I really don't know why I'm having so many tech issues today! (and as always thanks so much for watching ♥)

I’ve been making videos for 5 years on here and when I say RUclips feels like growing a business 😅 it truly takes patience, belief, faith and time. Don’t look for instant gratification or to compare yourself as tough as that can be at times. Keep navigating new ways to stretch yourself and just do your best ❤ I’m learning to give myself so much grace cause I’ve seen creatives the same age as me blowing up or getting awesome opportunities. Focus on being genuine, authentic to yourself and the results that are meant for you, will show up

And o know I can do it I just gotta keep putting in the effort and you can too

Love the new word "relational audience". You really highlight the fact that, in the long run, people are not JUST subscribing to you for information, but to go along your life's journey. So take your audience for a fulfilling enriching ride.

Though I started my RUclips to supplement my blog, it has become a favorite creative outlet. I have watched several of your videos and others on the topic of RUclips growth and I must say yours are the most 'real' and down-to-earth. You don't make grandiose promises of sudden explosive growth that is so bogged down in exhausting schedules that it is overwhelming. The recommendations and suggestions you give are doable and easy to implement. I don't want a million subscribers, I want to enjoy the journey and keep it fun while making it pay for my time as much as possible. Thank you.

I can relate, sometimes it 'feels like' everyone else succeeds so easily and fast, and it's almost embarrassing to not have had big success after years of effort. Quitting is worse than failing for a long time

i started my youtube 2 months ago as a way to escape a job and degree i hated.
i soon became obsessed with the numbers and was constantly comparing myself to people that i looked up to. social media became a game that i just had to win.
it was horrible and i had to remove myself from the social media "mindset" (dopamine detoxing) so that i wouldn't burn out.
this video is so incredibly important. thank you for the advice.

A huge THANK YOU for this video! You said EXACTLY what I’ve always thought about growing on RUclips. Everyone in this niche is like: “You gotta rank high on RUclips search”, but every time I found something through search it was always something very specific and I didn’t really have interest in the theme long term speaking.
    Thank you!!

Having a RUclips channel is such a wonderful experience. i get to be creative and express myself in such a nice way. I like to experiment with my youtube and of course depending on the time i have and the period i am currently in my life i try new ideas. I am not sure if making a second channel will be good for me now because i would then have to focus my attention to two channels which would be even harder. At least for now i'll keep this one and hopefully one day more people will discover this little corner of my world.

The work is long and the sacrifice sometimes is great, but I’m sure it will all be worth it in the end! Even if it’s learning new tools and skills and pushing yourself in ways you never dreamed. Growing on You-Tube has forever me to learn constantly, pivot, and be very understanding that change is necessary and happens frequent on this platform. I appreciate all I have learned these last 2 years.

Hey Katie! Awesome vídeo! Btw, I've got a question: What are your thoughts on recording the video reading line by line everything you've scripted? I feel that If I don't do that, then I start talking and talking and talking and filling the video with fluffy unvaluable stuff. How do you balance that? By the way, the timeline point of "Don't plan to pivot", should start at 10:00.

  • @StandingStonesHealing
    @StandingStonesHealing 3 месяца назад

Thanks for this, Katie. I recently saw someone's planned pivot video on their 2M subs channel and it was disheartening. Since I know of this strategy, I could tell that the sudden pivot had been planned, and the creator acknowledged that he was playing into the algorithm in order to grow his channel while lamenting that he "had" to do it because no one watched the videos he really wanted to create. His channel grew astronomically in a short amount of time, but what value is there in growing inauthentically with an audience that isn't in alignment with what you really want to be doing? Sure, plenty of his subs will stay for anything he creates, but how authentic and honest is that? Unfortunately, he's now teaching others this strategy when what we really need is more authenticity and honest growth, not more manipulation. Give me slow, authentic growth any day.

Katie! Your channel has been so incredibly helpful to me throughout my RUclips journey! Especially last year as I was navigating a shift in my personal brand/niche. Your videos are a gold mine of information! Currently watching this during an editing sesh at a coffee shop and drinking my iced coffee along with you 😊

At 1:36, do you think there is value in changing the titles of your videos after a certain number of days? That way you would be optimizing the video "packaging" for the home page in the first few days, then for the search engine later on.
Just a random thought that come across my mind while watching your video (great video btw) :)

I’ve heard some channels talk about doing this. It might be interesting to experiment with.

Great video. I'm drinking a Oleato Golden Foam Iced Shaken Espresso. I really hate ordering it because the name is so loooooooong.

Well dang “leaving them wanting more” I felt like I was forgetting stuff and would reshoot. Then think I have to make a new video.
