This is great! This concept can be used for so much! Imagine a picnic table on the lawn WITH WHEELS! No more dragging it or requiring two people. Or how about a potting bench that can be rolled out of the way or into the garage. Great great great. ⭐️ gold star project!!
It's almost impossible to drag it on rubble!
QUICK TIP: To get a perfectly rectangular tabletop, cut 2 equal 8 foot boards and 2 equal cross boards, attach them at the ends, then make 2 diagonal measurements across the tabletop (bottom left to top right corners, and top left to bottom right corners). If those two measurements are equal, then your tabletop is a perfect rectangle.
Great video.
You are an endless fountain of useful projects. OMSF!
(Oh My Spring Fever!)
Yes coffee with Laura and Aaron and the smell of cut wood in the morning !! Love seeing simple projects like this that make things so much easier taking care of plants and other things. Love it when you guys work on a project together and I see you had your supervisor in the background making sure the table is right for him as well, silly Russell laying in the sun.
I missed Russell! I'll watch again & look for him. 👍
Even though I don't need one, so fun to watch you and Aaron working together.
You must get up really early! It can't be 7AM there yet!
So for $85 we could have a stationary table - WOW. Not much measuring? AWESOME!! Love it no matter what it costs since it is so dang useful - PRICELESS - just like free instructions! You Rock!
I know, right! It's such a good steady frame that can be used for myriad of purposes.
@@SigningWithTheByrds The only thing missing? Watching her climb up and stand on it for pictures. LOL
I love the look and smile yall did when you flipped it over and it rolled! You two cuties!!!!
My neighbor and I built my greenhouse from a kit and I love it. When I priced the tables, I was shocked, so I just bought cheap plastic shelving. But now that I know, I will have tables made !! Thank you so much, I love your videos!!
Love the line of videos you are putting out now. Very informative while inspiring multiple levels of gardening. And the garden table is so doable especially if you overwinter plants in the garage. A piece of plywood across the bottom and now you have storage for pots, soil, tools, etc. Excellent.
Plus, it's kind of hard to make videos about gardening in February, lol.
Laura and Aaron, I appreciate you guys! I look so forward to your videos! I don't have any "gardens" yet but I have lots of inspired dreams!
Have a wonderful, blessed day!!!
OMG YES!!! Lol
Was just talking to my man yesterday about this...THANK YOU! ❤️. First year greenhouse user...
The table turned out great! You two are so creative. I enjoy videos where you and Aaron are working together on a project.🌱👌😀
Love this! I used to have a vintage hospital gurney that I was able to roll in & out of my garden she'd. It was fantastic! So this is a great replacement. Garden Gurney 😊
Good morning everyone, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Thanks Laura and Aaron, we love you guys!
carmen teixeira good morning from Virginia!
Good morning from Oregon!
Good morning from Ohio. Have a great day!!
Good morning from Pennsylvania! Beautiful windy, sunny 36° day!
Hi from Saskatchewan Canada nice day here
Thank you, guys! I've been hoping you'd film building one of those greenhouse rolling tables. Now, you've inspired the confidence I needed to tackle making one for my patio. Kind of a rolling bar height 36" table, that's the perfect height to stand at while working. I purchased a piece of quartz that measures 36" x 36", which I found at a local Habitat ReStore. I think I'll make my bar/table 6' by 3', one end will have the quartz bar top and the other end will be hardware cloth, for potting up plants! You've got my wheels turning, -brain in gear! I love seeing Russell in your videos, keeping an eye on everything in his kingdom! Love you guys! -Margie
Thanks that was awesome I have MS and I'm in a wheelchair so I can make it more narrow I like to move it around thank you for the inspiration. Gardening is the best thing ever and now it can be easier
Coffee and Laura make the start of my day.. 🙂🌺🌹❤️
We call those poultry staples. I love this. I was telling the husband that I want a table to roll down my future 300' x 30" raised bed to be able to pick and rinse vegetables as I go. With just a wheel modification and cutting the size down by 2/3 this would work perfectly!
What an excellent idea! 👍🏻😊
You’re building a 300 foot bed? Wow! I wish I had the space for that - though I’d probably would make my raised beds a bit smaller.
300' x 30'?!?!?!?!? That's almost half a football field. I hope you have a huge family or a lot of friends to take your overflow veg because that's a lot of food :D
~ Lisa
Thanks for this video. I was thinking of making one myself at a smaller scale
I now think I can do it!!
I love the design of this table and when I saw you bring out the chicken wire I thought what a great idea to use that!! Tell Aaron thank you for designing this table and thank you for the cost break down. Tables around here go for $249 and on up and those are without wheels or handles. I'll save up and make mine in a few months time here.
These are great, with a little adjustment these are just what I need !
Thanks for sharing !
Cheers, AndyC.
Love it!!! I actually built something very similar to clean out a rock bed that we had built years ago. I used it as a seive to clean the rocks out after I was through with that project it was just kind of sitting around it was coming in handy for lots of different things, I put it on sawhorses and clamped it on as needed to clean our greens in our vegetables and then I would put it back up.
I like your idea with the wheels. Thank you.
You amaze me ,so efficient and well built. Awesome weather your having, I started watching the year you had snow like we do here in NL Canada. We currently have 8 foot snow bank on our lawn , watching you is such a pleasure 👍😊
I don't want to jinx myself, but we haven't had any substantial snowfall this winter. We've had a couple of days where the ground got a nice coating but it completely melted within a day or two. So awesome. (In NJ.)
Thanks so much for the demo, Laura & Aaron! I’m going to be doing this for my greenhouse in the next couple of weeks. It doesn’t have to be perfect, Laura! Just super functional! Hope y’all are having a great week! 💚❤️
Loved the simplicity of the tables, easy to make, and could throw a piece plywood on top, cover with table cloth, instant serving table for cooks outs or projects. And lots of storage underneath a plus!! Thanks for sharing!
THANK YOU, BEST TABLE ON RUclips, LOOKING FOR A TABLE THAT WOULD SATISFY OUR NEEDS AND YOU GUYS WIN THE PRIZE, WHAT EVER THAT IS?? WE LIVE IN FLORIDA RAISING PALM TREES
Hi👋I loveee your videos💛Keep up the great work👍👍👍
Yesss I love when y’all build things! Also why hasn’t dewalt sponsored y’all yet?! #dewaltneedtogetonit #yellowandblackeverything
You guys r awsome. The table came out perfect. Laura you handle that saw like it's nobody's business (hear me raw) lol. Thanks guys for the inspiration. Really nice idea.
Turned out great. Also, it would be easy to scale it down, add a back and turn it into a potting table. Now I need to find a spot for one!
Done! Thanks for the great instructions and doesn’t need to be perfect advice. Hoping the deer don’t think it’s a buffet table.
I really like that table. It's versatile. It can be used a drying rack. The basic frame is perfect for an outdoor table, an island, well anything. Thank you for showing us.
Great job on the table, you two work so well together. Can't wait to see it filled with plants.
I need something just like this. Thanks so much for the helpful instructions!
I don’t have a greenhouse or cold frame, but I enjoyed watching this process immensely.
I need tables and I need them to be exactly 98cm long so this design will work for me. I should get away with castors instead of wheels too since they'll be smaller. Great vid, thank you for posting this
Favorite part, the wheels!
We garden using containers, and it's much better for my mom's back now that she's older to have the containers elevated. Perfect timing. I'd build her some in the summer!
Awesome Table!!! Love everything about it. May need one in my basement. Thanks for showing us how to build and adding the cost as well. Y’all Rock! 🤗💜🔨
Perfect sample idea to help me build a table for shade plants on patio. Just what I needed to see. I will modify it a little to accommodate doors below 🔨🛠
Loved watching you two work together! Just curious, do you guys ever bicker or disagree on how to do things? My hubs and I could never work this well together! LOL!
If you watch their older Q&A videos you will over hear some snippets. Laura has preferences about housekeeping and since Aaron has been watching and learning from all their videos over the years he "has opinions now." LOL.
Sincerely though, they really are such a sweet couple and watching them handle adversity (look up the "fountain accident" video!) is so encouraging because it shows us that they really are who they seem to be. Best wishes to you and your hubby!
I think it looks Great👍
Great ingenuity, that is perfect.
Laura
You guys did an awesome job on the tables! Don't diminish your creativeness! You guys have wonderful ideas!! Yes you never know😄😄
Thank you for this video this will come in handy I’ve got to take 10 footers for the greenhouse to make
This great and with the with the large wheels I'm sure try and build one inspired 😃😎😎👍👍
This was exactly what we needed for our new hoop house! Cheap, easy and effective! The hardware cloth was brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing this
This is perfect for what I need. Thanks!
Brilliant! I can see this a very utilitarian table for all garden needs! Thanks for sharing Laura.
I am so impressed watching Laura using that saw! What a great video, thanks guys.
Very nice and sturdy!!
This is a perfect video! Thank you so much! We have so many 2x4 pieces from other projects that I may not need to buy much lumber at all! The only thing you got wrong was when you said these tables aren't perfect! They are absolutely perfect ! They're strong enough to hold the weight of the heavy plants, sturdy enough to not blow or be bumped over, and they are definitely a money saver compared to the commercially available tables.
I love this table and think it would make a great kitchen island or dining table if you topped it with a piece of wood! You could even add shelves or hangers under it for pots and pans! The wheels in the house could make for indoor/outdoor dining super easily and it gives it an industrial farmhouse type of feel. Or the wheels in the house could just make it easier to clean up under it and make redecoraing easier as you wouldn't be moving something that will scuff up or damage your floors! So utilitarian not just in the garden! Great job!
I made these tables for my greenhouse as well. They work perfectly! I also added a couple of long 2x4s across the length under the table to hold extra flats and/or supplies. It helps when I am hardening things off. I put the more “fragile” plants on the bottom to keep them out of the sun until they harden off enough. I am about to make another one! I also made a “mini” table with the hardware cloth on top to use when we rinse out our koi pond filters. That way the water runs thru and we don’t have to hold those things in our hands, yuck! Thanks so much for a very adaptable plan that was so easy to follow!
VERY helpful tutorial. This will come in handy when I make tables for drying garlic, onions, and potatoes. Thanks! You two deserve a big slice of carrot cake now!
I love my Garden Answer Groupies (as well as Laura & Aaron, obvi!) I posted a comment a few minutes ago and Aaron-the man, himself, answered. I just about fell out of my chair! Then another Groupie jumped on with a link to the exact video I was looking for. I love Garden Answer and my Groupies!! The world needs more of this ❤️
Wow! I love the table, maybe someday I will tackle this project! But I do not have the space right now. I love to build things for myself, I grew up watching & helping my Dad build things!! Those are good sturdy mobile garden tables!! Thank you for taking us on this table journey!!! 😀🔨📐📏🌿
Loved watching it come together like that. I liked the fact that you made it as wide as the wire so you would not have to cut to
width. Taking it one step further to make the front wheels movable left or right like a wagon would be awesome. That said,
great job you two. PBH
What an awesome team work. $179.83 for a table is reasonable. Nicely done.
thanks. my son in law is making one for me...will show him this
It looks beautiful! Things don't have to be perfect as long as you and Aaron like it! Great video!
This would also work great by the looks a mobile spray off station! Love it! So many ideas.
In a couple years when I buy the same greenhouse as you I will look back at this video for these tables lol A girl can dream...
Simple tables that Fall!!!! I have been racking (no pun intended) my brain to figure out the fundamental principals of anti-falling tables...Thank you for sharing this. Came over from Epic Homesteading to see your build.
love the table the wheels well definitely make the table a lot easier to move In and out of the green house to give your plants some air flow and light outside of the green house
Hey, I used your table design as a guide and made some thinner tables to fit in some tight spaces at our place. They hold one row of 16” flats for us. I love the simplicity of this design. THANK YOU for the video!
Thank you for the We’ll ideas totally awesome
Love it! Now I just have to get my greenhouse. Soon. :)
Your project ideas are more than awesome! Currently we are getting a greenhouse built so this is very helpful.
My Aunt is coming to live with us and we have been trying to figure out how to add all of her potted plants in with mine. An altered version of this just might the answer! Thank you for the cost break down. I’ll it need when I meet with my hubby about my/your idea 🥰
It’s so nice to have the wheels on. Good job. You are going to love this. Your going to wish the others had wheels for cleaning
Yes! I love when you show how you build things. Your videos give me so many ideas! You keep life interesting!!!!!!
Love this! Just put up
Our greenhouse & have been looking for ideas for tables in there and these fit the bill so perfectly! Simple, easy, practical! Thank you Laura! You really are the best! 🤗
I can’t thank you enough for the idea of this table built two of them today it came out really nice thanks again
Great build, great idea!
Thank you I built a greenhouse I also built two of your tables plus the workbench can’t thank you enough it came out so good thanks again
Yes!!! Thank you for sharing this! I need three on the double haha
Wow! Much less expensive than I expected. Great design; wheels make everything better. I noticed your director lounging in the grass back there. Kind of surprised he didn't insist on inspecting your work up close and personal. Perhaps later. ~ Lisa
you two... just wow! you guys can do anything - TEAMWORK! ok, my first thought when i watched you building this was, with a few tweaks, you could build Benjamin a foosball table!! 😂😂 seriously, that is amazing! and yes, i can see how handy that must be for the size of operation you run there... i might be tempted to add some hooks on the side for hanging pots, but they might get in the way when you are leaning over to the back side... i think it looks great!
Oh wow, y'all did a great job on that! And since we have all the lumber and screws on hand, my husband and I could make one for around $100. What a great deal!
I think it’d be great as a homeowner doing simple food growing and outdoor plants to have a table like this to pot on, use for gardening, use for drying onions etc...: it’s on my list of to do! You’ve inspired the heck out of me for the last couple of years... I live in Iowa and am a zone 5. Trying to up my game each year.
You both are so amazing!! So beautiful to see you work together..thanks for sharing ❤️. Love it 👍. Hope my english is well..😘
These look so easy to build! Great job you guys! Going to send this to my husband. Maybe he can modify your simple and cost-effective design to build a few raised garden boxes I've been wanting... would be so much easier on our backs! Thanks, very helpful!
thank you so much for showing this video - can't wait 'til daylight so that i can show my hubby! his next project!
I’m crushing on Aaron, lol What a lovely team you guys are! I’m getting supplies this weekend to make 2 of these! Great project for my boys construction class at school👍🏼free labour 😆
perfect timing we finished building our greenhouse out of recycled windows this past weekend and are going to build tables this coming weekend.
OMG!!! HOW HAVE I MISSED THIS!?!?! This is amazing! 😍🥰
Just made this table! Thanks so much for the tutorial Laura & Aaron! Our version is a bit more simplified with no wheels since I don’t think I’ll be moving it much. It’s absolutely perfect to get my plants off the ground and to put my seedlings on. Much love from Puerto Rico ♥️
We just finished building ours from your video too! We added a second tier of shelving for extra storage space (all those 1/2 bags of soil or amendments that never have anywhere to go!)
Simple, solid.
All it needs now is a trailer-hitch-thing so you can drive it around rough terrain with a lawnmower/tractor which I'm sure you have already ahah.
Or... a steering wheel/stick like a fancy warehouse dolly so you can keep moving these when you're 90 years old...
Maybe headlights? ...A horn? ....GPS?
Is there anything you guys can't do? So, so interesting to watch this morning. Thanks.
Great information! Live to see you work together! You are a breathe of fresh air in this world guys!
You are so multi talented. You make it look so easy. 👏👏
This really is the most perfect greenhouse table I’ve been. Thank you.
This was just what I was looking for thank you. Great idea using the wheels.
You all are amazing. Love the table. Simple and functional.
Love these tables. I will be building two. Thanks so much for the detailed instructions. Looks so easy. PERFECT!!! 👍
What a cool video. I loved watching you build the table. You made it look so easy!
Laura.. I have been thinking about planting a green seedless grape in a pot, but I'm not sure how it would fair. I saw your video on growing blueberries in a pot & wonder if grapes would be the same. Do you have any tips on this subject? Thx.... Linda
I have wondered the same thing after I saw an advertisement for Razzmatazz grape being able to be grown in an container.
Love love your table
