I thought I was being overly emotional (crying from joy and sadness) even to the point of literally losing my breath from crying, but based on the fact u had the same reaction that I wasn’t being an over sensitive Pisces. Beautifully told story💜
I had no idea this was a true story until something clicked in me 30 minutes into episode 2 when I watched it this past weekend. I went on the internet to check and binged the entire 8 episodes. I have never cried so much watching a series. Zoe was a perfect choice as the lead
Dont think there is one person who didnt cry watching the series… so touching so emotional so beautiful and so heartbreaking.. zoe and eugenio did an amazing job ❤
I watched the movie and thought it was beautiful and very well written. It touched my very core, because last year my husband of 53 years passed away. We met in high school, married and had one daughter. Well, after crying for a few days, I could barely pull myself together. The missing him and emotions and lovely memories we shared were so overwhelming. I was his caregiver for three years, the last year around the clock. He was so dependent on me for so many of his needs. Everyday I wake up thinking about him, and thank God for the years we had together. The love is just as intense as the pain, and never goes away, but somehow, bt the grace of God, I get through the day.
Im 40 yrs old, divorced and raised my twins without their father. I dont think I will get to experience a love like that. You are blessedb you did! Hugs!
I love this interviewer. As few interviewers do, he allows her to express herself and her feelings without attempting to put words in her mouth. I watched the series, and now I have to read the book. She's right; this is a love story for the ages. I think I heard that in the movie.
This mini series was very touching and emotional. Zoe was the right choice especially as she speaks Italian fluently to play Tembi's love to Sardo. It's a beautiful true love story and exactly what we need at this time in our lives.
My perspective about life, love, family and career has changed after watching the series. And this interview is so good. He let her actually talk. And I'm crying now again
She seems to be such a beautiful soul. I was completely captivated while binge watching the entire series. I love their story and that she chose to share with the world. Love never fails!
I bought her book in an airport about 4 years ago and couldn't put it down and was amazed with I saw there was a movie about it. I'm so excited for her!!!
Such a beautiful interview. We only have such a short time on this earth. Why do some of us choose to hate at times? Love is the way and Big love is even better. I have watched the Netflix series and it's a beautiful story. Zoe Saldana and Eugenio Mastrandrea do a phenomenal job. I cried like never before. I cried for my own loss, I cried for the lack of such a love in my own life. However one thing I realize is as long as I'm alive and allow love to flow it will indeed come some day.
16:36 The simple question of "are you OK?" is so great. Thank you Mr. Buckley for highlighting the importance of checking in on people. I came to this interview after watching Tamron Hall's interview with Ms. Locke and her sister who is a showrunner on the Netflix limited series made from her book, and although I hadn't heard of the book or the series until today I am going to watch the show on Netflix now!
I absolutely loved this movie. I couldn't pull away, I stayed up all night and watched the entire series. Whew, it was powerful, I couldn't stop the tears and thought about it for days afterwards. The actors were perfect for this movie, they did a fantastic job.
@@nancymartinez212 ; I think it’s because Zoe has the most actor Power in da movie & has had more interviews to sell the series; some folks also watched it because she was in it. But if u watch her interviews; She gives a lot of credit to the lead actor (Lino) & all of cast. Zoe always acknowledges everybody she works with.
11-12-22 Dear Mr. Buckley, This is the best Tembi Locke "From Scratch" interview available on social media (FB, IG, RUclips).🏆 I'm referring to pre-pandemic and post-pandemic, as well as pre-Netflix and post-Netflix.😷🎬
This is just an infinitely beautiful story that encompasses everything about falling in love, being in love, staying in love, fighting for love. The Netflix series, the books, the interviews. She always deeply expresses their love when she tells their story
What a beautiful story ….. I cried for transcendental reality that could touch anyone …. And it did me …… the series was magnificent portrayal of love❤️love you Tembi🥰🥰🥰
My younger sister and I watched this together as she visited me during her vacation. She could not finish it. We recently lost our Mom and there were some parts that were too hard. Thank you for this. She's his blessing as he was hers. And, their story blesses us all!
Thank you so much for sharing your story. Mine is very similar to yours and he has been gone for 21 years. My youngest daughter gave me a little clipping that stated what was still is. We still think of him and share great memories. Thank you.
All I can say is Bellissimo! Thank you SO MUCH for such a warm touching interview. I watched the Netflix series before I knew this was taken from real life and LOVED EVERY MOMENT of it. I banged watched it actually LOL.
I've just about watched every interview I can find about this love story. I truly love this interview. It definitely did not disappoint. Yes, I cried just like I did when I watched the movie.
This interview provides more clarity to their love story. I enjoyed the series so much, and the actors were chosen because of the chemistry that they had and felt between them. Great and inspiring interview!
Dear writer in waiting: Write, and do so with all the energy, heart and with the awesome spirit you both share. Yes, share today, right now, in this moment. We await your Memoir.❤
Watching the movie "From Scratch" also reminded me of my husband who also succumbed to CA, tho of different kind (Colo-Rectal CA). It was only tonight that I knew the movie was based on a true story. Watching Tembi Locke tonight . I have watched the movie (From Scratch) maybe 5 times already. Actually, it was just an accident that I got to watch this interview about the book of Tembi Locke and made me cry again...😅🤣😂😭
Before I watched the series, I was thinking what the fuss was all about and told myself, it's just another movie what's the big deal why is everyone crying. Hmmm, then I watched it and felt so 😔 and cried. It was so well written...so real. A real tear jerker.
Oh my gosh! I’m in tears!! Thank you for sharing! ❤️ What a beautiful story! I just ordered the book from Amazon, not 20 minutes ago. Cannot wait for it to arrive tonight!
Just saw the movie today it was amazing can't wait to get the book. I've been needing a good read. Glad I saw the movie first so I can bask in the words in the book.
I watched the series based on Tembi’s book. Seeing her tell the story of a love for the ages and the photos is so heartwarming. You have taught so many life lessons by sharing your story!!! ❤
Wonderful interview! So insightful and I enjoyed you letting her talk. And you seemed so interested in what she had to say. I watched the Netflix series, now I'm going to read the book. Thank you!
Amazing hearttouching beautiful True love Story filled with emotions of laughter, love, romance and heartache showing us the strength and depths of True Love🌟🙌💖 I applaud Tembi Locke for sharing her beautiful heartwarming precious True love story with the world it surely touching many hearts to Inspire Real True Love💖🙌🤗 I've watched the Movie/Series and felt each emotion as real and hard as portrayed through this Movie by all Actors especially Zoe Saldana🌟👏👏💖👌 I highly recommend anyone to watch it and promise you won't sit with a dry eye witnessing deep true love in the most unique wonderful sense of emotions experiencing life lessons🌟💖👌👏 Respect, Love, Peace and Blessings from South Africa 🙌💖✌️🇿🇦
I watched the entire series in 2/3 days straight, and I started crying from the episode 3, at the beginnings it was so funny, her father, family but after that, so emotional, heartbreaking. This woman has a such good heart, dedicating many years of her life to care for his sick husband . Now ,years has passed and she still can’t find another man to love. Also in the Netflix series they showed she arrived in Italy in 2000 but she was already 29/30 years old , not 20 as she stated in this interview. I read her biography and book and she was born in 1970.
SHE FOUND SOMEONE, SHE MET HIM IN 2016 AND THEY GOT MARRIED IN 2020. THEY CHANGED NAMES AND DATES AND HER OCCUPATION FOR A REASON. THE NAMES THAT WERE USED IN THE SHOW ARE FROM DECEASED LOVES ONES OF THE CAST AND CREW
I am happy for her that she found a new love and got married but why in the interview she didn’t mention at all? If someone is happy in love don’t you want to share your happiness to others around you? I was just pointing out that she said she’s was 20 years in 2000, but how so? She was born in 1970 , so I didn’t need to be Einstein to know that in 2000 she was already 30 years old.
Tembi I’ve watched that mini series on Netflix four times already and each time I watch I cry even hard for how you guys loved each other and I just want to say thank you for restoring my faith in love and to not give up I’ll find my soulmate. Thank you so much ❤😢
I now cry from her interviews??? I would have chosen Zoe Saldana for this movie also. To Zoe what a gift TMH have trusted U with ??? For now this is all I can express before the 💦 waterfalls come but there is more I'm just going to purchase the book and I greatly appreciate Timbe, her family and his family for sharing their love and life with us.
Great interview! I'm gonna check out the Netflix series! In 1973 Esther Anderson and Sidney Poitier made a poignant fictional movie named "A Warm December."
She has remarried but what’s beautiful is when her late husband stated before his dying breath “Love again…. Your love is too beautiful to not share” 😢 crying again bye 💔💔💔💔😔😔😔😔

Did you even listen to her story or did you just decide before hand to be a hateful person? Even before they met he had already been estranged from his family, marrying out of the "Italian norm" was just a add on to what his family found as an already disappointing situation. I was out of breath crying watching the series on Netflix. 😭💔
Me too Sisi😢
OMG! Me too!! I had to step away during episode 7 & relax. I was deeply invested.
