Wow the comments here are so braindead. Yamato has lead his team to the top 3 consistently in a very competitive league. He keeps getting hired by top tier teams year after year. Keep in mind he is a coach, not a player who can make in game decisions. His role is to facilitate an environment of growth and mold the team into the way he sees the best way to win with the players he has, the current meta, and a whole slew of other factors. I would like to see anyone commenting negatively to take on a coach role in any sport on any level. You will quickly realize how insanely difficult it is, especially if you are losing over and over

You will name the ones people never care about, those seen with disdane because they are only good for regular season and fall off in playoffs... You wont name a good coach in the NBA who doesnt have a championship. Yamato is a good coach because he always made worlds and his teams were fun to watch, had identity... But i fail to see why that's relevant.
The point is: "Their fans are crazy" - "They were here last year" - "And the fans were consistently top 1 viewership on twitch".
If they are Ibai's fans or Koi's doesnt matter, they are both rooting for the same team, that's how sports work, or are we saying everyone with the Lakers loves the Lakers and none is by proxy because of Lebron? Streich (the coach) even delegated very unlucky one time with the Team, stayed and immidiately got Up again. He has never won anything I think, but this is because Munich/Dortmund/Frankfurt (much bigger cities/Clubs) always win, but I suppose if you ask any football Fan here in Germany, probably 70% would consider Streich as one of the Best german coaches at the moment

In fact, KOI, under Ibai's leadership, acquired a 60% stake in Rogue, granting them majority stake in the team thus having the most influence over the team. I think this imply that the decisions, to retain the original core of players, was strategic, considering their previous successes, rather than a lack of involvement from Ibai and KOI in the decision of the League team.

I mean Yamato was a really bad coach for ages. He improved a lot tho but yeah he had 2 much ego despite being mediocre at best.
PS: I judge how good or bad he was based on what he said publicly, how his teams played and evolved in the strategic side, drafts, etc. maybe he was actually good but the good stuff about him was hidden because how humans work or whatever but yeah he was never that great of a coach in the past and also the whole argument about "it's not his bad if he never won cuz he always had bad teams etc." is a really shitty argument when you have been in the scene since the beginning and your average results after sooo many teams and splits and tournaments is low tier. That legit sounds like when someone says he is silver because he has bad teams and not because he isnt good enough. If you are the chief of many teams and every single time you manage to not even be top 5, maybe you are not the most unlucky person in earth but rather part of the problem. Nobody says that he had to win a single time to be a good coach, but there is a difference between being good despite never getting the gold, and being on the upper half of the leaderboard 15% of the times. I wouldn't hire a coach whose chances of being lower half of the league are 85% even if he was Jesus reincarnated and he was just unlucky, basically because when the sample size is large enough, it's not luck but statistics. Maybe he is indeed the best coach in europe right now, but his competitive history disagrees and until he proves people wrong (or the people whoa re supposed to hire him) he is not the kind of person you wanna hire, if possible. I mean if he starts to have a win streak and whatever + him demonstrating me that he isnt that bad anymore, then I would perhaps rate him better, but by now the only fact is that there is a lot of info about him saying retarded and wrong stuff year after year and also him not being able to hit top half year after year. Facts. And about making worlds every year; he made words 4 times in 8 years, and 2 of those years were with FNC which makes worlds every year (unlike him) so according to your own logic about "you cant criticise people for not winning because only G2 and FNC win and team winning or not is not a proof of good or bad coach because coach doesnt have that much agency etc." we could say that FNC carried him to worlds 2 of those times and they also won despite having him as a coach and his 15% success rate is actually lower.
And no, I'm not saying this because I'm spanish, cuz the truth is that I dont like Ibai (even if he is probably the best or top 3 best streamers), I don't like Koi, etc. and if you check my twitter you could see how much I shitted on Yamato for ages (even if as I say I think he actually improved a lot, specially in the latest years), until he improved IMO and since then I kinda like him, so we could say I like more Yamato than Ibai even if the gap is insignificant and tbh idc about either of them really.
I understand that you wanna defend your friend, and tbh Ibai's attack was quite random since Yamato did a small joke-attack and Ibai went full on artillery+personal, but they way of defending him is a bit xd. Ibai went too far but Yamato is still not that great of a coach according to all availiable data.
Anyway, I hope the best to Yamato, hope he proves me wrong year after year and hopefully is the coach of the second team to bring home the worlds, but by now I will stick to my opinion based on facts which is that he is mediocre at best.

Yamato isn’t consider a goat coach at all, let say ibai is flaming someone like kkoma(who arguable is the best lol coach with both t1 and dwg) then it would be a good argument and can see both Sid making a point, but yamato doesn’t have the resume like kkoma to be egoing like this

Any idiot can manipulate stats in a way to push a particular POV. Context is everything, you're lacking all of it. It's extremely stupid judging solely on results. These orgs keep hiring him because they know things you don't, and they know he is good. Take the L mate.
