Thank you, that makes me so happy to hear! And agreed, the mountains there are stunning and so Alpine. A very popular hike in that area is “The Enchanments”, “Colchuck Lake” and “Snow Lakes Trail”. Amazing sceneries!
It's so nice and beautiful! But also really surprising to learn that it is not a legitimate German town 😮 It looks really well settled though, but as you say maybe it's all more about the facade like an amusement park than an authentic experience. Loved the vlog also and I liked your honest review haha And nonetheless looks like the place is still worth a visit! 👌😁 Also the "They taste like math" part got me, I cannot even! 👏👏👏😂
I’m sure they do their best, but it’s hard if there is no direct connection to the heritage or culture. It’s like idk Australian people trying to make an Australian town American and selling everything as “USA” 😂 (couldn’t think of a better comparison lol) ?! With these kinda things it’s always a fine line between cultural appreciation and appropriation and really hard getting it right if a whole town in a foreign country needs to follow along and pretend they are a different country.. 😅♥️ I’m glad you had fun and enjoyed the vlog tho! I thought the math comparison was so funny too!
Yes you might know best hehe, but I'd give them the props for the nice presentation -just from what was seen it's quite impressive! 💯😆 And I totally get that hahaha, it's like they intended to replicate the folklore, and as you say not having a direct connection to it. I understand it might feel awkward when they don't get it right haha 😅 That is seen a lot here in Guate but in a smaller scale, with pizza 😂 There are so many places that claim to make a "traditional/authentic" Italian pizza, but in reality it is just a non Italian "traditional style" pizza 😹 (still good though! hahaha 👌)
What was your last travel destination? 🚗💨 Have you planned your next one already?
I was there in November of 2015. Really cool there around Christmas time.
Yes, I heard so too! Hopefully it’ll be more authentic in the future
Love the Vlog!! I can’t get over how beautiful those mountains are lol. Great video!

What a beautiful surprise! 😍 I visited Germany in late 2019, and it was so beautiful! Hope you get to visit back home soon Jacqui 🥰
Agreed, it was a cool surprise and very thoughtful. ♥️ I’m glad you enjoyed visiting my home country! Thanks so much for your wishes, I hope so too.
What a beautifully shot blog and those Berliners looks so delicious 😍
Thanks! Do you mean the ones we bought or the picture I added? Because the ones we bought there weren’t delicious at all and not authentic at all 🤢
@@TheSimpleSprinkle I meant both :) . Oh really? that's a shame.

Nice Vlog
Thank you!
This looks bizarre! But like in a good way haha I would love to visit :)
It was totally bizarre! The looks of it are so cool, a bummer there is no real German background, hence lots of things aren’t really authentic 😣
