Ive watched all your Puerto Vallarta videos in preparation for an upcoming vacation. Washington is my home state. Ive never been to Leavenworth Oktoberfest but I have been there during Christmas time, and its a magical place 😁
You went to the “Leavenworth Oktoberfest” in Wenatchee. Leavenworth does its own Oktoberfest as well. Its also very fun! And you don't have to leave town :)
I don't know where to start. We visit Leavenworth all the time, different times of the year are so fun. I'm disappointed that Martín did not have mustard on his brat. München Haus has the best mustards. The Christmas festival is okay. The Christmas tree lighting weekends are fun but they are very different the past couple years. Visiting Leavenworth during the winter for the snow and the lights is really amazing.
Thanks for visiting the Greater Leavenworth Museum! Hopefully you'll come back again and enjoy Oktoberfest here in Leavenworth with our beautiful scenery! :)
Ricola was the first thing I thought of when I saw them playing that instrument (that I don't know the name of, lol.). Looks like everyone had a really good time!
Is there anything to do there without tickets during Oktoberfest? We planned to visit this weekend not realizing it’s a paid event and the tickets are sold out
Happy y'all made it to Leavenworth! We go for the accordion festival, beautiful drive from Seattle! Love bratwurst, it's now the sausage I add to my jambalaya!
Check out Frankenmuth, Michigan, the other Bavarian town with the largest Christmas store in the world actually founded by Germans. That would give you another state and a Christmas experience too.
Not as grand as the real Oktoberfest, but man does it scratch my nostalgia itch. I would LOVE to partake in something like this. Our local breweries do little Oktoberfest things, but hardly anyone dresses up or takes it serious. Just another day to them! Super cool, and the scenery looks incredible! A place I’ve never even heard of and now it’s on my list.
Super glad to hear this inspired you!! That’s always our goal ❤️ Hopefully some day we can get to the real Oktoberfest in Germany, but for now this certainly did the job!!
@@TouristtoLocal you guys will certainly enjoy it! Munich is such a great city with such great history. You could walk up and down the city center and find endless statues, monuments, beer gardens, and places to eat. I’d encourage you to try as much local cuisine, visit dachau concentration camp, and enjoy a wild night at Oktoberfest. Also, you MUST dress the part. I showed up in a shirt and jeans and stuck out like a sore thumb! Lederhosen and dirndls are 100% a must!
The event held by Projekt Bayern in previous years was causing a safety and sanitation issue for the city of Leavenworth. They then did not come to the table with the city to discuss the issue in good faith this year, resulting in the conflicting Oktoberfests.
Additionally, board member Steve Lord has some… questionable opinions. In a previous Facebook post, he wrote: “I hope everyone is paying attention to the signs in the neighborhoods. If your neighbors have Biden signs in their yard they are not my neighbors they are the community enemies and they need to go. I have spent the last couple weeks documenting who has these signs in their yards. When we go into war these people will need to be dealt with first. Time to make the new people that are ruining town leave. Have a great day.”
Leavenworth is overhyped here in Washington but Christmas time is a way better time to go. And it’s Wen- “Nah (like a Boston accent)” Chee. Not We “Naw” chee. 🤨
As a Washingtonian…it is absolutely not overhyped. The hiking, the winter sports, the food, and drinks…everything about Leavenworth is loved by basically everyone I know…
I was wanting to go for years until I heard about the crazy mayor who ruined the festival. I hate when government people use the term "Re-imagined" like Disney. That has never worked for anyone since 202. Who were the people that took the Gemutlichkeit out of Oktoberfest?

Totally! We talk about the two festivals around 4:40. Double the fun!

Totally so many options at Munchen Haus, but sadly we aren’t mustard fans 🫢 thanks for the feedback!
@@TouristtoLocal I’m not a mustard fan either but there’s something different about the mustard they offer. Next time?
Love Leavenworth! Your Bloopers were cute, too!😄
It’s a great town! We want to go back already! Thanks for watching!
your in my home town!!! I watch you all the time for my upcoming PV trip. Thank you for sharing!
How cool! Thanks for watching!

They should bring back the beer gardens and have the real Leavenworth Oktoberfest in Leavenworth like it used to be.
Frankenmuth Michigan is just like Leavenworth. Plus it has the worlds largest Christmas store.😄
Cool! We haven’t heard of that one!
@@TouristtoLocal if you like Christmas Frankenmuth is a must! Love it there.
You need to come to Frankenmuth, MI. The town has had a Bavaria theme for over a 100 years. They have an Octoberfest also in September.
We’ve been getting ads on Instagram for this town! It sounds cool!!
That’s the least crowded I’ve ever seen Oktoberfest in Leavenworth…usually I’m battling thousands of people to get a single beer haha
‘love this! 👍🏼💕🌟 :)
Yay! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ricola was the first thing I thought of when I saw them playing that instrument (that I don't know the name of, lol.). Looks like everyone had a really good time!
Hahahahhaa glad you got our reference! It was a blast!!

Woah we had no idea about the accordion festival! So cool! Thanks for watching and always supporting us, Alan ❤️
@@TouristtoLocal Believe it or not, my wife actually plays the accordion 😆

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks so much!!
I'm watching this from PV and I live near leavenworth..
Woah that’s so cool!!
So cute. It does really look like Germany and authentic! Love the shirts 😂. Fun times. I’d love to go there!
Thank you!!!
So you we😢to October feast in wenatchee.. you should have gone up to Leavenworth and enjoyed the stuff up there.
We wish it was advertised better. The whole two events thing was VERY confusing for us out of towners

Don't forget Leavenworth was plain sick of their corruption and foul behaviors. Good riddance.
You are in Wenatchee
Yes we are 😉 We talk a little about this at 4:42 if you want to learn more!

As it is in North America it is boring compare to Germany to much law to have fun in u.s.a.
