🧊 Fire up your cameras and create a stop motion animation based on the MEGA SCHISM! 🧊
FULL RULES:
The theme is the MEGA SCHISM! ⚠️
You can use ANY Mega Construx figures and any faction but it must be focussed on Brutes VS Elites!
Create a stop-motion animation between 30secs and 3mins long.
Your entry must be a new video, not re-used content.
Keep your animation appropriate - NO explicit language and not too graphic.
Last years winners ARE allowed to enter.
Lego and other brick brands are allowed for terrain and scenery ONLY.
Halo music is allowed but NO Halo 4!

I'm excited to see all the brute vs elite action this time!
I just wanted to say one thing as someone who entered last year, I think you could make it a lot more community friendly if you did the 'bonus' categories differently.
Because last time they were all very similar to the actual judging criteria for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, e.g. best story, best action, etc. so they all just went to the runners up who missed out on the top 3, mostly well known and experienced animators (e.g. they have a whole youtube channel for it).
If the bonus categories were either more specific or more separated from the main judging, it would allow you to celebrate the average community member, the amateurs who maybe didn't have the best animation but did have the best custom figure, or custom scene/location, or had the most unique character death, or the funniest moment, or the most emotional moment, or the best music use.
Lots of ideas to pick from but you get the idea, stuff that any random community member can do without needing years of experience.
I totally agree. Hopefully Simon sees this and updates his judging criteria. Good luck brother!

thats pretty hard to think of a category, the experienced people are going to be best at executing humor, set designs, emotion, audio, and death scenes too X.X
@@joe-vi7on Lol I know what you mean but you should have seen last year's contest, there were so many entries that didn't have the best animation but managed to do one thing better than the winners, or something unique that no one else thought of.
Like one guy that made most of his location out of clay, so the whole thing could be animated and shift around like the flood.
Finally! I remember last year desperately rushing my stop motion mere hours before the deadline as I started late haha. Very excited to see everyone's submissions, good luck!

Simon, thanks for making my childhood fun and cool, your videos were funny and interesting. You got me into a hobby during the pandemic that I actually enjoyed. I did a lot with mega and unfortunately, I think my time is done. Keep cooking and motivating this community like you did for me, don’t worry I’ll still watch your videos.

Knew this was coming up! Thank you Simon for the 4 month window, I had classes starting next week for college and was worried I wouldn’t be able to put out a quality animation when I would be busy, but now I got plenty of weekends.
I think, of course, anyone would enjoy collecting halo figures, and should continue their career and have fun, so I have a good amount of halo stuff, so any good luck guys 👍

Welp… now I have a reason to get the Halo 2 character pack so I can have some Elites and Tartarus. Might make something along the lines of a couple ODSTs sneaking around High Charity after being rescued by Chief during the Schism
@thedomainhalo you are seriously my inspiration you have helped me keep myself centered and inspired me to continue my hobby. I lost a big chunk due to a storage company stealing them. I lost my mom in December and nowadays I just feel like a ghost. Every time I see you pop up a new video encouraging us to continue is honestly a highlight of my day.
