Props to him I think his name is chanyeon for speaking English. He absolutely didn’t have to. But even not being able to hear fully his pronunciation is amazing.
It’s Hyunjin. Chanyeon is on his right and Jiseok on the left. And yes, he speaks better English than some hearing idols 😅

I am VERY HAPPY TO KNOW that THIS company has thought OUTSIDE the box and is giving so many young lives to REALLY GO AFTER their DREAMS WITHOUT the negativity from people who cannot / will not SEE PAST Disabilities!!

This was a wonderful interview, respectful. I'm a special education teacher and have worked with a young lady who is hearing impaired. The young men of Big Ocean are an inspiration, period. They have a special place in my heart.

I love Big Ocean and I'm really excited to see what their future holds. Also, Hyunjin's English is so good! These boys are working in three sign languages and two spoken languages as well as learning to dance and sing, respect 💟🤟

I'm learning both Korean and ASL currently. This group brings me so much happiness and hope for more representation. Proud of these guys.
I know just a bit about ASL and have been learning Korean for a while. Isn't there a kind of pattern of setting a topic in ASL that's similar to using the "topic particle"? I always assumed that feature of Korean would be less confusing to those who know some ASL. The linguistic similarity is really interesting to me! Makes me wonder if there are other languages that mark a topic.
I am so proud of these guys 💙 I am not hard of hearing, but seeing poeple like them change the world of music and K-pop, despite so many difficulties they faced is truly inspiring 💙 Please support big ocean 🫶

Great interview! Little confused why they're calling the song Hope? Isn't it Glow? The Korean title doesn't resemble anything that I would translate as hope...
Their song is titled 'Glow', but it is a remake of H.O.T.'s 1998 song titled '빛 (Hope)'
@@emilyhenku Oh, I see that H.O.T. chose the English title Hope, even though 빛 means light (and 빛나다 means to shine or glow). "Glow" seems like a better choice!

I'm so glad Big Ocean is getting the recognition they deserve! That being said, I'm surprised a video highlighting people with disabilities doesn't have subtitles. Subtitling not only the Korean, but also the English, would make this video much more accessible.
