  • Alright so in this video I adjust the spring in the rear pulley of the torque converter and put it in the most torque setting and it is a lot better! Might later on try the yellow spring but right now I am happy with it, but still want more engine RPM!

As with any project it can be "done" but not "completed"! I spent a lot of money on this thing and it is definitely a lot more reliable! I'm not saying this fourwheeler was completely garbage when we first built it, it did do pretty good for about 3 years and we had a lot of fun, but things started to wear out and the engine blew so I rebuilt it with performance parts and upgraded the drivetrain to a torque converter rather than rebuilding the jackshaft!

1:50 Small tip: If you push the spring in to remove tension on the driven pulley the snap ring come off much easier

That exhaust is not helping that engine make power! But to get it to spin faster, it needs lighter weights, as long as the belt is not slipping, the weights are better mod, to prevent eating belts, but seems the better choice would be a couple teeth more on the axel sprocket, it should pick up a few revs!
I'm thinking about putting a set up like this on a Chinese scooter, ditch the 50cc engine for a 224 and a TQ converter,
But the point of these are to keep the engine at peak TQ for the speed it's going, that engine is probably making peak TQ where it's at, I'd get a motor cycle exhaust for it, or a scooter exhaust, to get more rpm from the engine, a cam with more duration and slight valve timing will move the power curve up in rpm, I would test how it revs out on a hill when accelerating quickly, it should rev a good bit higher, but I think a sprocket is what you need, if anything!
