Yessss. Thank you so much. I bought some wireless lights and I thought I would need a special emitter to connect them to soundswitch. It hadn't occurred to me to use the Donners to create the W-DMX. And it has worked perfectly. You've enlightened me again, mate. Thanks again from Barcelona.
The problem of mobile DJs who want to use lighting in their projects is to program lighting effects for each new performance. Everyone who uses modern lighting systems has the task of how to connect, how to set up, how to program and how to manage it all during a music show. I'm not a DJ , but my hobby is creating real-time music visualization devices. The main idea is that the music itself creates a light show, so that there is no need for programming lighting effects and, most importantly, that there is a connection between music and light. For myself, I adopted a concept that I called RTMV - technology , it allows you to create music visualization in real time, without human intervention. The system is completely autonomous and independent. I cannot demonstrate the work on modern lighting equipment, but I can show the work of this technology on the same type of light sources arranged linearly. I make videos on my channel by which you can evaluate the effectiveness of this technology. Go to my channel and see visualizations of real music pieces, for different styles, I will be grateful to hear feedback, from a real DJ .
Trying to use Chauvet DiFi to connect to fixture, Chauvet has 16 channels, fixture has 8 wireless channels- how do I know when they're both on the same channel, without having to try every single combination? Many thanks!
I just purchase soundswitch to try It out run all of lights wireless on slave mode with the remote that's come with lights i have 8 rockville par 50 I run with wireless receiver 4 Rockwege on 4 mini rf3 on two best par 50 wsh those dmx wireless can I run them with soundswitch wireless I was watching alot of your videos I see u love soundswitch alot
Hi. Does anyone know if these lights can do one solid color with a strobe effect when not using DMX? It would be with the units remote controller. Thank you 🙏
Yes, first look under all fixtures. Some times they're there under another manufacturer. Also you can request the SoundSwitch support to add it or add it using the new fixture manager.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but still unable to get the pixel style using soundswitch that you discuss in the last chapter. I set my fixtures to 80 channel and selected Multi Cell Primary, but it's still acting like a wash light.
@@DJDarylBennett THANK YOU! Finally got it working. For some reason now my static looks now are not working when pressed on the control one or the app. Any clue why that could be? I've changed to 80ch (from 40ch) and to Multi Cell Primary (from Wash Primary) Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
I'm confused....then why did you need to plug in that blue unit to get it to work. I'm a beginner and wanted to start off SS with just the dongle. But you had to switch and use the blue unit. You lost me there. Thanks
@@manidelgado W-DMX and wireless DMX are two different wireless dmx protocols. Just like bluetooth and wi-fi are two different wireless protocols. They don't work together. These tubes can use both W-DMX and wireless DMX. When in doubt, just use the normal wirelss dmx
I think this was added because the Chauvet well stx 180s have them. It's like DMX but it's more reliable. (I can make a video going over the low level details of the protocols) Honestly, I put my tubes next to my booth and don't need extra range or reliability lol the donner dongle is just fine
@@DJDarylBennett ok, I was just wondering. I use the donner and chingly wireless dmx brands. Never had any issues. I don’t really have a need to upgrade to W-DMX.

Glad that helped!
For anyone reading, remember that wireless DMX and W-dmx are two different protocols

I will check it out!
I agree with the concept, Ape Labs kinda offers something like that, but their lights are really cost prohibitive for most DJs
sweet I just ordered 8 tubes China brand I'll refer back to this video when they come in
Did they work good?

Great to hear!

How do you connect these with non wireless lights? I have chauvet intimidator 260x
Nice!
Thanks!
how can i add a fixture that not appears in the list? can i map a fixture? thanks
Yes, first look under all fixtures. Some times they're there under another manufacturer.
Also you can request the SoundSwitch support to add it or add it using the new fixture manager.
@@DJDarylBennett thanks
Do you need a wireless dongle along with the control one to connect to your lights???
You need a wireless transmitter. You don't need a dongle receiver

The next step is using the AUTO button at the top, either with your individual songs, and/or the autoloops

Does the Donner dongle have to be plugged into power or does it get powered by the SS dongle?
Donner transmitter needs to be plugged into power
Hey thanks for the information. Why am I not able to see any attributes in soundswitch when using 80 channel mode?
80 channel mode doesn't let you access the built in presets. You get to control each of the zones manually with your software
Thanks is it possible to create the attribute que in 40 channel mode and still use them in 80 channel mode?
what happended if my light doesnt appear in manufactured section? Can I Still Use them or not?
There might be a profile of a different name. You can also reach out to Sound Switch support
Hi Daryl, have you connected BO-Ir4 to Soundswitch??
Yes
@DJDarylBennett do you have a video by any chance. I've followed all steps above but using both ir4 and I just can't get them to talk to each other
The both pixel tubes aren’t showing up in my soundswitch. Any idea why? I just updated it to the newest version 2.8
You might have to click the update fixtures button, but I think it's bo-192
On the purchase page it says there’s Apple app for this product, what is it called and is it user friendly?
I go over it briefly in my other video: ruclips.net/video/TymBcxvy9kE/видео.htmlsi=9d3adM_MLxBqMgHj it's free, you can try it out
I got mine to pair with my w-dmx once but having trouble pairing again. Any advice?
Reset the wireless setting on the tube and redo the process
So you can't use the SS dongle with the 360 tubes? You need a different transmitter?
You need a usb to dmx adapter (the dmx dongle) and something to transmit the signal (the donner dongle)
I'm confused....then why did you need to plug in that blue unit to get it to work.
I'm a beginner and wanted to start off SS with just the dongle. But you had to switch and use the blue unit. You lost me there. Thanks

@@DJTEDDY507 you really don't haha I wouldn't have if chauvet had both options available on their well stx. But they only have w-dmx
Anyone know if these lights can be controlled by ADJ Airstream Bridge?
It should be
Hello, are there any new findings? I think wifly from AdJ is not compatible, right?
Can I run them with mydmxgo?
Yes you can
@DJDarylBennett Thanks man! How do I add them to fixtures? It's not listed
I’ve watched this video a million times and can’t get my both 360 tubes to work 🤷🏾♂️
Where is it not working?
Deal braker for not having DMX inputs
I think built-in wireless is the future. Especially fixtures that are ip65 rated.
