Perfect timing on the review! I am finalizing the plans for my son's freshman year of high school and wanted to make sure this is one of the books I want to have him read for spiritual formation. Sounds like it will be a perfect book for him and his dad to go through together. Thanks!
Does anyone know if mortification of sin by John Owen is readable in terms of the language used? What I mean to ask is if it sounds like modern English. I tried to read a book by Johnathan Edward’s and the language was far too difficult for me to understand
@@devinkwan9212 The banner of Truth Version I have is abridged and updated with headings and verbiage so it was much easier to read. So I am very confident if you get the Banner version it will be readable for you.

Love this book! This is my go to discipleship book along with “steps towards heaven” by JC Ryle from banner.
My son, who is 17, will be reading this starting his new honeschool year off.
I love that book
It is a great read. Can't believe it took me this long to get to it, but so glad I did!
@@Back2theWord yeah. First time I read it I was very convicted!!! I love Ryle man. He’s changed my life so much
