Hi Matti, I like what you said about the perfect training environment in Finnland, all the little things combined + the positive vibe :) Please stay strong and continue to train so disciplined! Best regards Richard
Hi Matti! Great Vid - Glad that you include the warmups given their importance That got me thinking - Do you have a specific strength training regimen? Or has it changed since surrounding yourself with the expert team? (Apologies if it was covered in another vid that I missed)
@@bren750 Yess I do, I am in the gym 2x a week 45min targeted + the mini warm ups pre-runs & swims + body work sessions / stretching, foam rolling etc. Yes they have always evolved over time and will continue to change as well. I target most body groups, esp. ones I have weaknesses in finer movements as well as big motions like squats mainly for activation and connecting core to leg muscles etc. Happy training 🙏💪🏼
@@alexrodriguezpares7359 For that one I use the nike pegasus, like the new version has more cushioning and bit more direct than Invincible 3 (long & easy runs) 🙏
Hey, I follow the pace of the treadmill but take th interval time of my watch for the rep length duration. Always be aware that treadmills like powermeters can have huge differences in what the pace actually is vs. show, so keep an eye on HR and RPE. HR will rise more due to heat indoors / no fan of course, but good stimulus.
First thought: "Oh, good, you've lost weight. You have a lower body fat percentage and look even more defined. That certainly wasn't easy. i think it will take you to the next level. keep going."
Thanks, isn't easy to balance it between performance gains & recovery and adjusting body composition, quite bit of tinkering all the time. Started at 86kg now at 81-82kg, running with this is already very different. On track for the 78-79kg in May where I was few years back but not fixing on a number too much more performance & recovery first, always above the body composition game.

@ Hi Matti,
Awesome! Appreciate this insight and detail as well. 2025 is going to be a killer season, happy hunting! 😎
Great video! Which running shoes do you use for the indoor track/treadmill?

For treadmill sessions, do you follow your watch or the treadmill? (my garmin doesn't match treadmill paces)
