Thanks for watching and your query. YES you can run the thatcher and the collection bag at the same time. Check out this video of mine to see it in action: --> ruclips.net/video/Y46KNkmerIg/видео.html
Thanks for watching Levi! Its nice to have it "summer" mode again but I think that I've might have been too early with the switchover. We are suppose to get some more wet and cold weather for the next week or so.
Hi Roger, nice setup.... is there a reason why you didn't mount the dethacher to the front quick hitch and use the standard hydraulics? thanks again, matt
Thanks for watching Matt!. I bought the thatcher complete (mount included) with the tractor and accessories (blower, mower, loader) at the time. I guess it would have been just as easy to adapt it to the QH but didn't think of it at the time. If i did I probably would have save a few buck on a hydraulic cylinder.
Thanks for watching John! I've read great things about Gator blades but also not so great things about them too. I guess it all comes down to the actual mower deck. I'm glad that they work for you.
I did not like the Ninja blade my push mower camebwith and put Gators on my Ninja Mulcher and SPX at the same time. I never have to thatch my yard. The blades mow them into such small pieces they decompose before they buildup in the yard, but I do not have snow on my yard for six months out of the year, either. My biggest Spring job is rolling lime and Milo. The soil, here in SC is very poor and very acidic
Nice fabrication; thanks for sharing.
THANKS and thanks for watching!
One of the best front mount thatcher setups I have seen on the market! You have done a great job and convinced me that front mount is the way to go
Thanks for watching and your comment! The front mount thatcher setup is definitely the way to go.
Can I get a cab like that for my E140?
Thanks for watching but I don't think so.
Can you run the thatcher and the collecting bag at the same time?

Nice to see you can get the tractor out in summer mode.

Great idea with the bracket. Too bad Deere doesn’t make that available...
Thanks for watching! Having a hydraulic lift for the thatcher really makes things easier. The bracket was dirt simple to do.
My tractor and push mower both have Gator blades on them and these mow the grass blades into almost nothing, so I do not have very much thatch

Living a more northern clime definitely changes the way grass decomposes over a more southern clime where you live.
