It actually blows my mind that people would vote no on this poll. This poll isn't adding a new skill. This poll is an opportunity to see what Jagex may have in mind. We can easily vote no at any other step. Why not at least give it a chance?

All skills have some sort of quest/diary’s that require certain lvls of that skill. If it wasn’t for this most skills would be ignored by the player base. How would they give us the “incentives” to grind the skill? Would they redo diary reqs? Would they add new quests with the new skill lvl as a requirement? The skill in my opinion can’t be released without any incentives other than it being something new to do.
or it could be a skill like sailing and throughout your sailing adventures you can find new skilling/ money making methods with leveling skilling. and maybe for you to explore more of the world by sea you would need to lvl your sailing so you can build stronger ships to survive rougher waters. i think that would be cool
I love that you’re encouraging healthy debates and emphasizing that it’s okay and necessary to have opposing views. The minute someone resorts to insults, they’ve thrown away their ability to be reasoned with, as well as painting themselves as someone who you probably shouldn’t listen to or acknowledge.
I voted Yes because things need to advance. Old School shouldn't stay as Old School forever. Eventually should include a new skill. This is the reason people play the game is to drive for maxing, so those who are 200M all, they have a reason to hop on again and rush for 200M in the new skill.
@@dalarie best comment on here, most players are not even close to maxed yet alone have 200 mil in any skill. only about .8 percent of the player base have all skills lvl 99. so that means 99.2 percent of the player base are not maxed. Only .2 percent of players in osrs have 200 mil exp in a skill. What happens is you have these certain players who play 10-12 hours a day for years and get burn through all the content and now demand rs3 to basically be merged with oldschool. The reason they won't play rs3 instead is because the community of rs3 and numbers is basically 1/3 of oldschool runescapes player base. So instead of playing rs3 they rather oldschool runescape turn into rs3.

Lots of osrs content is good but I got burnt out. If they add a new skill the homies should just come over to RS3. I spent maybe 4 years playing osrs but only go back for leagues now, RS3 is good but people are afraid to give it a chance
@@grandcanyon2 okay, I liked osrs better until I tried it. I don't mean they literally are terrified to play the game...... Either way it's so much funner in my opinion. I have a maxed iron on osrs so I paid my dues and it's a great game, but the Lore and pvm of rs3 is so absurd.
I thought the whole part about OSRS was to keep the game the same... yet they have added so much that's its barely even the same damn game any more, adding a new skill wouldn't surprise me. OSRS has just become RS3 without the MTX
Dude, lets be real how long do you think a game can remain 'old school' ? A game can survive a few months maybe a 1 or 2 years without any any new content, surviving only with the old content but theres a limit, osrs is 10 years old new year, you either have a oldschool graphic style with new content or a dead/closed game... A game that lives on bonds/sub fees cant just stop making new content that keep players from coming back after they archive their 'kids dream', because lets be honest, both rs's live of their old player base not new.

OSRS is pre EOC, no abilities, no customizable interface, old graphics. Just think of it as continuing from that point. 10+ years they would have added content. The 2 games are completely different.
its slippery slope to turning osrs into rs3, history will repeat it self, but alot of these players don't understand that, some of osrs players are newer players hwo played during the hype of rs2 back in 2004-2008 then quit and came back to osrs once moble came out in late 2018. Some players are from rs3 and came to osrs and want the game to be like rs3, they only came to oldschool because rs3 has alot less numbers and a much smaller community.
I play RS3 but watch mostly OSRS content, I just find the game too boring to get into (long attention heavy grinds mostly) so it surprises me how OSRS has a new continent (including a spell book), raids and other bosses, quests and loads of misc items/weapons/armours not even added into RS3 which are game changing but a skill BLOWS peoples minds. Would Summoning not be ok? Its not that game changing, BoB would be nice quality of life, item sinks/GP sinks for the economy to train it and it came out JANUARY 2008 so not far from "07scape".
