This is J Mac at his best. This is probably my favorite John macArther sermon ever . This incredible man of God lays out the Gospel so susinctly and proves how glorious God is . And how the only way of salvation is the Gracious Mercy of God himself. He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater, He sendeth more strength when the labors increase, To added affliction He addeth His mercy, To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace. His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power no boundary known unto men, For out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth and giveth and giveth again. 2 When we have exhausted our store of endurance, When our strength has failed ere the day is half-done, When we reach the end of our hoarded resources, Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
"Draw them through their natural resistance into the glorious light of the gospel." - John MacArthur (within the closing prayer of "The Myth of Influence Part One") thanks #JohnMacArthur, you've been a blessing to the defending the truth of the gospel for a little while and God willing you will continue to make a tremendous impact on generations to come.
Thank you Pastor John for the great sermon, you always keep me grounded. Every sermon of yours leads me closer and closer to our Lord . May our living God , bless you to the fullest .🙏
We need to speak the truth in love. Because God so loved the world that gave Jesus for us. Do not be afraid to love. This is also a way to tell the Gospel.
Thank you John MacArthur! We need to make the clear doctrine of election plain to all believers...I discovered this comforting doctrine as a new convert by Bible. It flooded me with assurance.
Best teaching of the Gospel. Only those who are called as it is written will believe the gospel because it is very hard to belive for every one. Thanks to the teacher.
Nobody can be saved unless they come to the end of themselves I.e. when God push them to the wall, they must accept the only way God provided how gracious our Lord has been
Faithfully, The LORD is faithful to us. He is jealous for us. I Cor. 2. every opportunity is blocked by the evil ones. BUT GOD.....John 3.Love always brothers and sisters.
I started listening to this man yesterday, and for some reason i have doubted just one thing of what he have said. If i compare him with other pastors, i doubt many things from the other pastors and what they teach, it's really weird because when i listen to John MacArthur it's like "why i am listening to this, and why does it feel uncomfortable" something that i just felt when i listening to the harsh truth.
ƏĐÛÅŘĎØ Æ the truth is hard to hear. Like he said, the Gospel is harsh, it points out our sin and makes us VERY uncomfortable. A gospel that makes you comfortable is no gospel at all...it is not good news it is terrible news that has no redeeming qualities and only leads to destruction. The True Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ who lived sinlessly, died to satisfy God’s hot anger and delivered eternal life to those he calls to repentance and belief!! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved!
ƏĐÛÅŘĎØ Æ Be sure to listen to people on the other side. Calvinism falls apart pretty quick when context is pointed out. I recommend Steve Gregg and Leighton Flowers to help balance the argument that Calvinists give. God bless.

It is a choice for the person still but God chooses people because he knows the true intent of their hearts, and he has divine knowledge which we cannot fully understand.
Paul warned people not to follow him or Apollos, but some people seem to follow Calvin, Luther and other famous old preachers. They even came up with the word Calvinism. I enjoy pastor John's teaching but disagree with the way him and many others explain the gospel of election. I believe God uses scripture to elect. He does not elect us as individuals like they want us to believe. He chooses us as a people through his Word. That is why Jesus told the people that the only work they should do was to believe in Him. John 3:16 says whoever believes in Jesus will have everlasting life. It does not say those who were chosen by God before the foundation of the earth will have everlasting life. God knew from the beginning that there will be those who will follow Him. That's why Paul spoke of election before the foundation of the earth. Satan can use famous preachers to make people slumber thinking that they were chosen before the foundation of the earth. Jesus will never loose them because he was given them by the Father, only to find out in the end that He actually never knew them. What would be the purpose of preaching the gospel to the whole world if there are those individuals who were elected? If they were elected they would automatically know the gospel.
One of the greatest Bible teachers of our generation. But many great Bible teachers have the same flaw. They allow their denomination (Calvinist) to filter the word of God. As if God has to check in with Calvin first. And who is John Calvin? Isn’t he one that brought light to a certain aspect of the scripture that others may have missed? Like predestination? Actually he’s right! The Bible does teach predestination! Sorry if you don’t like it. God does already know who is and who ain’t. That’s because He knows the end from the beginning. So predestination is not a Calvinist idea. We have to lose the “ism’s” I’m a Christ-ist! That’s all I need to be.
The King - Sad for you. It is all about God’s divine grace. Did you hear the part where John said that we are the scum that has to be scraped off the bottom of the pot? No human can take any credit for his salvation. God gets all the credit for saving us.
@@bobhawkins2997 You think free will means we save ourselves? We aren't the ones who died on the cross. We are the ones of whom it was written "that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish". That belief is not a man saving himself. That belief is a man asking to be saved.
The King - No, of course not, my understanding if free will is that man has the capability in himself to respond to the offer of salvation. But, if men had the free will to respond to grace, they would respond without the saving intrusion of The Holy Spirit. No one responds favorably to grace unless God moves in them to die to themselves. From man’s POV, it looks like a free will choice. From God’s POV, He had mercy on whom he had mercy. No one in hell can say “I would be in heaven if God chose me”. No one in heaven will say, “I did not want to be here, but God chose me. Here’s a prayer for you that God will enlarge your vision of Him and diminish your vision of man.
You do not like the doctrine of election ? … All the way through the Word, God CHOOSES … His holy nation Israel, His prophets, His apostles … much as it may be distasteful to you, it is solidly biblical
Belinda Mostert God chose Israel because they were descendants of Abraham to whom He made promises concerning Jesus. God would fulfill those promises through his children. This chosen people were mostly unsaved. Election is in the bible but Calvinism redefines many words to prove their doctrine.
That's weird you feel that way. It shows you choose what parts of the Bible you want to believe. He preached consistently through the Scriptures UNTIL THE END explaining every passage he read and putting it in its context. There are things in the Bible I had a hard time believing because it didn't fit with my thinking or belief. But after examining and studying things faithfully I had to accept what the Bible says. Jesus said He's the only way to the Father. That means every other religion and belief that's not according to Christ is false and damned. Is that hard to believe? Yes. But is it true? I'm convinced it is. Do many evangelicals feel the same way? No, unfortunately. Some parts of the Bible are easy to accept while others are hard but if the Bible is the word of God then what it says is true. I used to deny Reformed Theology but once I understood them by the Spirit I fell in love with God like never before. The doctrine of Election and Predestination made me want to sanctify myself and live for the Lord more than ever. My witnessing to people grew and I became more compassionate and broken over the lost. Understanding the Preservation of the Saints made me want to separate myself more from the world and the things in it. But when I believed I could lose my salvation I can't explain the fear I used to live in whereas now I see God's love and it makes want to grow in holiness for what He's done for us in Christ. I can speak more. But bottom line: we can argue over doctrine all day but if we're not living holy, it means nothing. If these doctrines are heresy or false then why did it boost my love for God and made me want to grow in holiness more and where I actually rejoice in denying myself, carrying my cross and following Christ? Heresy doesn't sanctify. The truth of God does (John 17:17). God bless you :)
