Fuck if you bought into pancake swap back when this legend was first making videos on it, your profits would be out of this world. This guy is a crypto assassin. For the malware concern I would HIGHLY recommend using Linux instead of Windows if you have a lot of money in crypto.
Thanks. The creators of phantom app have made this a very silly workaround to connect ledger though. You dont have an option to immediately connect the ledger, so you have to create a 'dummy wallet' first to get to the option of connecting the ledger. What... the hell.... were they thinking...

I am curious, using the Ledger nano x and phantom wallet, can you see coins on the ledger that were sent or received using phantom extension? Phantom and Solflare are unable to connect to ledger “failed to connect to ledger” the ‘connect’ is grayed out.
Ledger live is updated and no connection issues between ledger, live, or exchanges.,just solflare and phantom. I’ve had no trouble connecting with solflare until very recent and trying to figure out…so I tried phantom and same error. I’m using chrome browser (age of Mac doesn’t support Firefox which was a suggestion). Ideas? I’ve tried reinstalling will no resolution. Thank you
I get a lot of Failed transactions when swapping. Any idea why? I eventually manage by doing it in small transaction, but obviously cost more in multiple transaction fees.

At 15:40 your Ledger shows "Unrecognized format". Didn't you have problem with that? Mine shows the same when trying to swap tokens on Solflare (or on Orca connecting Solflare to Orca) and can not make any transactions. Blind signing is on and still have that problem. Any suggestion how to fix it? Thanks.

Hi rex, by the way, if you had previously setup a sol wallet with say solflare, then u also delegated/staked your sol. You can import that to your phantom wallet.
To do this, you create a new wallet using phantom (like in your video). Then you import the ledger, select the same address as you used previously in solflare, then your sol in wallet and also staked amount is all there.
there is a recovery seed phrase for phantom, but is paired to the ledger already, so i don't think the phantom recovery seed matters as much as long as you have your ledger's own seed recovery phrase? but i guess it doesn't hurt to save both anyway. I think that the main purpose of the phantom seedphrase is if u dont have a hardware wallet, or if you want to import it to a different device more easily. correct me if i am wrong :}

hi thanks for your video, prior to watching your vid I created a ledger wallet within an existing phantom wallet app. I then transfered some coins I had on an exchange, but I didnt see any prompting on the ledger, actually I dont think I looked? So does that mean that my ledger does not recognise this transaction? Also I am after more security for my phantom wallet by going through ledger, but when I log in and log out I can access this with my password only. Does it not require permission from the ledger either for access to the wallet extension or more specificly the ledger wallet? confused about what level of security or have I done something wrong in the setup and its not working at all?? Will need to trade your USDC to SOL, then move over to Phantom. Once there, you can trade to the Solana version of USDC. Remember that in SOLANA, they are pegged versions of the ETH.

Hi I'm new to the Solana network. I opend a phantom wallet. Transfered some SOL into the wallet, next I connected my wallet with serum exchange. I went to the swap option and started swapping SOL for different tokens on the Solana network. All are showing in my wallet beside Sunny aggregator. And I also see that the amount worth in dollars is missing. The transaction went true but since then not to be seen in my wallet. Does anyone knows how I can fix this? Thanks in advance!!
When I deposited SOL into the phantom wallet, it just displays a dash where the number of SOL should be. The value under it remains zero. Any idea whats going on? Is there a minimum?

Great presentation as usual. Just a bit of confusion about ledger holding the private key. Do I still need to note and store the 12 words from the Phantom Wallet? Does your answer apply to any external wallet linked with ledger? Thank you.
Good question. I'd like to know as well.
If you create a standalone wallet with Phantom then you will need to store the 12 word backup phrase. But that is for the original default wallet. If you then add a second Wallet that is connected to the ledger, That wallet has got a private key on the ledger by virtue of installing the solana app.That wallet can be restored at any time using your ledger device. It relies on the 24 word back up phrase for the entire Ledger device. If you leave the default wallet empty then that 12 word recovery phrase is not really that important. You can always create a new wallet and then reconnect your ledger. But if you put any funds in that original default wallet then you will definitely need to keep that 12 word back up phrase.

Not related to this matter but I have notice that Magnum Wallet (linked with my TREZOR) is suspended and has been for sometime now. I've tried to use an alternative wallet (NanoWallet) to recover my NEM Coin. I believe this wallet is also now suspended but before the NanoWallet was suspended I tried to recover my NEM to no avail! Is your Main Wallet also a ledger wallet? If I wipe my ledger and later recover my seed phrase on the ledger, I just have to install my Solana App and it will access my address again?

Yes you can remove the ledger-based wallet and add it again all day long. Your balance will still be there. You can also access the same ledger-based wallet using Solflare.

connected a ledger nano x and set up new wallet, put some sol in to test in phantom walllet and when i try to submit a txn it says 'Unable to send' there was an error attempting to send... any ideas how to sort? I have sol app open on ledger
Within the Sol app in the ledger device in settings select yes for blind signing.

I don't know of many payment processors that would accept Solana directly for payment. At this point, you basically are going to want to cash out your Solana on an exchange like Coinbase or Kraken. If you decide you want to sell it, but you can use your Solana for trading, Solana tokens like Solana meme coins, or other Solana based tokens. You can do that within Phantom.
