When music was dangerous and magical. So happy I was in my 20s through out the 90s.
I was as well. On Oahu to boot. Great time in my life. Before the weight of the world crushed my soul. 😎
1990 I turned 20. 🤘
I can still remember listening and watching "Grunge" videos on MTV when it 1st came out.
I still listen to it, each and every day.
You old fhuack, I was 20 in 02
In 97 I was 22. My son was 2. In LA. Went to a ton of concerts back then. Rage Against The Machine, a lot of classic rock shows, festivals. Never was into Janes Addiction. Was only familiar with Jane Says, Been Caught Stealing, and my personal favorite, Ted, Just Admit off the sickest soundtrack to the best movie ever Natural Born Killers. Beyond that, I didn’t like Perry Ferrells voice. Fast forward to Nov of last year (2022), Smashing Pumpkins and Janes Addiction at the Hollywood Bowl. Was curious about JA, but really there for SP. HOLY SHIT! JA blew my fuckin mind! Stole the show. Told my wife then and there that I NEEDED a full set, and if they ever did one, we’d go. They announced the Palladium show a couple months later and we got tix the first day. The show was last week, and I can’t put into words how kind fucked I am at how great they are. Jesus. On one hand I’m a loser for never giving them a chance so long ago, but it’s new to me now, which is so cool. Better late than never. They can take my money whenever they feel like it. Rock in you old fucks in the comment section😂 peace, love and health to us all.
liked how Flea stayed true to the original bass parts.

@@BJJclone hahahaha. Not for this, Ortega.
Great performance by the band. Perry was at his peak in his vocals...you can hear him loud and clear, and he is on point.
Best concert i ever attended . The floor was absolutely sick. The entire sweaty costumed crowd was flowing with the music. Sound was awesome. Havent ever seen anything like since

This is by far the coolest and relaxed concert stage/setup I’ve ever seen. You could never achieve this kind of vibe and concert stage in 2020. Bands just like aren’t like they used to be. This concert is pure bliss.
yes but what goes aroiund comes aroiund
For real...this is a whole other planet vibe...
If my virgin eyes just saw Navarro use a vibrator on that guitar then chuck it....these new "bands" & especially copy cat hip hop chicks need to see this before thinking they're the sexiest thing on the planet.
Pure as the dope they were on
Tell me you haven't been paying attention to music without telling me
This has got to be one of the best live shows in rock history
lol....good but not top 50
agreed michael good show...but ruclips.net/video/P7lq1p2-eao/видео.html
This is a pretty good show but I don't think it comes close to what it was like seeing them 10 years earlier.
I was watching it from home, a few miles away crying that I wasn't there
Dog fuck the haters I totally agree with this comment
Rest in peace 1900s the last 10 years were iconic! Nothing will ever come remotely close to your greatness.
You will be missed and you are thought about Everyday by millions and millions of people
Goddamn I hate you nostalgia nerds
@Rountree1985
Crazy that you took the time to write this.
Your manhood must be extremely small to have this much hate over a complete strangers comment.
@@Rountree1985 I guess you had to be there! 😀
There's a reason there are no Jane's Addiction tribute bands. Who the fuck could ever pull off anything close to this?
Their music is just basically blues. Same couple keys and revolving progressions. The drumming and guitar can be sophisticated and Perry’s voice is one of a kind.
I got to see Janes 4 times. First time 1987 they opened for Love and Rockets. Club 1235 Miami
2nd time 1989 Woodies on the beach Miami. Great show!
3rd time 1991 Bayfront Park Miami. Suicidal Tendencies split the bill with them
4th time this show in 1997 NYC.
I really wish Eric Avery would come back. Jane’s is just not the same without him.
Great times! Great band!!!! The 89 show at woodies was the best. There was so much electricity in the air you could just feel they were about to blowup and become HUGE!!!
I don't think Dave ever got enough credit for his guitar playing.
I thought the same thing when I was just learning to play guitar. Shredders were the flavor of the moment, and the mastery of Page, Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, etc. was well established and recognized. But I kept thinking "why isn't Dave Navarro more often seen as one of the best ever?".
Still think he's incredible
Dave drives the band, he is criminally underrated, great solos incredible taste, great add ins, all while dressed like a fetish god
every song has 2 chords only....how good would you have to be to play this music.....he's ok
shhhhh 🤫don't ask the RHCP fans
Tom Morrow two chords?? Maybe re-listen to Three Days and tell me it's just two chords...

Nice work!🙂
Thank you!!!
What an amazing performance. I love how the audience is just there enjoying the show for every minute, the way it used to be. Nowadays every single person just stands shoulder to shoulder with their cellphones held up the entire time. Concerts like this will never be experienced again....intimate, and everyone there in the moment feeling the scene.
beside it's the best live concert from JA on YT... the sound master needs a medal... such a great mix... you hear it all very well balanced ... the drum's the bass... always difficult... here it matches perfect the performance ... everything is top quality... and that Voice... love it... this is the perfect summer time music... Then She Did
gave me the first rush... and later Summertime Rolls with it's encore... could go on forever... ❤
This band is freaking KICKING ASS! Navarro is an unsung master of the guitar...simply and quietly does what he is there to do...Perkins, Flea and Farrell are as outstanding...this is a helluva SUPER GROUP!
Navarro> Frusciante
Oozing energetic electric set.
I was at this show 15 ft from the right side of the stage...right near where Matt Pinfield of Headbangers ball was talking to fans for MTV...this was the closest thing to a religious experience I've ever had...magical!
Wow I envy you this looked like the most amazing time ever!!
@@terryrollins1973 truly was epic...I used to tell people it was my 1st religious experience! Also my best concert ever out of 6-700!
I missed this show but caught the Philly show like a month or so later, still pissed I missed this show. Went to a few other NYC shows and ran into Matt Pinfield at everyone of them. Cool guy to talk to, I think this was his favorite band. Glad you were able to see this awesome show in the flesh!
@matt pinfield started as a dj on Rutger[s radio station btw. portley, yes.. but a fine gentleman
I was there on the floor left side towards the back standing next to Ace Frehley . Do you remember when the overhead cam got dragged into the audience and for completely destroyed along with boom that snapped !?!?! Epic as F!!!! After the song ended “F MYV” could be heard loudly chanted . Just epic as F!!!!
They absolutely nail the ENTIRE set. And its damn near the perfect setlist. Just...outstanding.
Nothing Shocking about that.😉
This is Def one of the few live shows I can watch over and over and it completely engrosses/enchants me everytime from start to finish. Equally as enthralling to dance to as it is to watch. Flawless from start to finish.
lool 🤣
That was mind-blowing. I have never before seen a band reach a state of such sustained epic grandeur in my life.
My god..this footage needs to be stored in the deepest vaults of the Smithsonian. I can’t explain how much I love this concert. I always come back to it. It’s 2024 and probably my 20th time or so watching this. But I literally wept a few times. It’s such a passionate real performance. The whole band is 100 percent on point here🎸🤘🏻Long live Jane’s Addiction
Maybe its the drugs and the nostalgia but I dare say this is the BEST CONCERT in the HISTORY of the UNIVERSE. Tickle me nuts.
Woopty wop woop
Sure was my best concert ever, my first in the USA in 1997 San diego CA it was magic for me
Probably every single one of their concerts in 1991 was miles better.
@@HoshJomme1I was there for both years ‘91 & ‘97 and they were both momentous and life changing. But this reunion was truly epic..
He's been my favorite guitar player for 25 years.. The guy is a Master! Long live Jane's Addiction!
Perry was obviously the mad genius behind the ethos and aesthetic of Janes. But...Dave's guitar playing cannot be ignored. It's clear Dave's approach to guitar was hugely integral to that specific cosmic sexual hedonistic spiritual vibe that Janes did so damn well. This concert is just beyond perfect. Must have been so communal to be there in person...and on Halloween of all nights! Also...Flea killed it; he fits the rest of the band like a glove. And I love how wild-eyed and in a deep flow-state Perry is. What a show...just beautiful!
Oh....believe me, I 100% agree that Avery's bass was the basis of Janes....I certainly realize that. The entire band is brilliant....but he provided the weirdly sensual groove underneath it all.
This is my favorite Jane's era actually. Perry was so much older than the other guys that Dave was just starting to find his own thing. And I agree about his playing. Dave and John Frusciante are my two favorite guitar players from this era, and where John was wild and a little sloppy, Dave managed to be every bit as dark but extremely elegant and precise in his guitar playing. No funky staccato triplets. His sound is kind of oozing and sexual, love the goth vibe. Avery wrote some great parts but having an even better player in Flea kicked it up a notch. One of the great shames of rock 'n roll that this iteration of the band never did a record. I was 12 at this time. Would've killed to have been 22 and been there.
And by Dave finding his own thing at 30 here, I mean stage presence and style, not his guitar playing which was always on point. For such a good looking guy, ditching the baggy clothes and floppy hats of '87 for this look suited him better.
Agree, though Stephen Perkins' drumming is also vital to the Jane's sound and vibe - that tribal feel and sexual groove. All four original members brought so much to the table - the whole band is definitely worth more than just the sum of its parts. Eric and Dave's Deconstruction project aside, none of their solo/ side projects can match the soaring heights of Jane's at full throttle. And though Flea doesn't have Eric Avery's melodic groove bass playing style, he fits in well in his own Flea way playing his own unmistakable style. It works, and the concert is brilliant as a result.
Although Flea has been involved with Janes as early as 1988. (Trumpet on Nothings Shocking) Fleas the bassists bassist and he can do it all. He's filled in on bass for both janes & porno for pyros. I preferred Janes up until scar tissue album.
Was at this show........was PURE MAGIC.....perry farrel was on point this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jane Says from this show might be the best version ever. Love the set, lighting, etc. from this show. Great atmosphere.
It's my go to then the acoustic version with Duff McKagan, on MTV, they are a square bit older but its ths kettle drums that get me!
It is the best song and performance in my book.
I would say XXX Live, but I'm old. What do I know? xD
Just in case some of you don’t know Janes Addiction was the future sound of rock &roll when they first arrived, eventually we would call it ‘alternative’ rock. This is a great representation.......
They ushered in the 90s before grunge hit. They were amazing. Nothing Shocking was way ahead of its time when released in 1988. It could be released today and be revolutionary.
Same goes for Pixies. Brilliant timeless music.
That's the best Jane's Addiction freaking assault I've found on RUclips! Everything aligned, and they destroyed the place... just perfect! Beyond, intense, beyond cathartic... perfection!
But did you like it!!!??? 😁✌️
Janes got LEGIONS OF FANS in SouthAmerica
Duuude. Trippyyyy.... whoaaa...the female sex power...I AM...tripped out.

TheSteved111: Thank you so much, man, it's fucking awesome to have that crazy gig in such a good quality...

This is one of the best shows I have ever watched, perfect set,Flea on bass, Halloween night, thank you so much to the uploader !!!

this is up there with nine inch nails at woodstock
Oliver Shagnasty flea and a junkie. Yes a great mix
yes thats right
the firts minutes into this show I doubted Flea. But then I Saw Navarro and Im like, I just found a jewel. Hello to our fellow american bros and sisters and a big HUG from Venezuela
Im going on 51 now.. 30 years now. Still Sexy mesmerizing and hypnotic🎶🎶🎶mindmelting. Love you Perry 💕💕💕💕💕💋
It’s a god damn shame and disgrace that there’s no more bands like this anymore. Imagine if we could still go see music like this live. Sometimes it’s really sad to see how much rock n roll and alternative rock music has digressed over the past 15 years. This is one of the best live concerts I’ve ever watched. I can’t imagine being there for this
I agree with ya...but there are still good bands out there touring, you just have to dig for it
Agreed, I love Placebo and Blue October for the same reasons but Perry's showmanship is so unique and incomparable..Justin of Blue October will spill his blood out emotionally at concerts it's very refreshing plus a real mix of hard rock beats, trippy violins, just about everything you need all genres, about 10 studio albums, start with blue october History for Sale, Foiled, Any Man in America and look up fear the live versions. Hes battled with addiction. A phenomenal band still out putting albums yearly.
I saw them more than a few times over the years. Amazing band for sure!
This captures how the 90s felt when as a teenager.
Check out bands like foxygen and the lemon twigs. There's a lot of people making great music they're just harder to find cuz they're on indie labels. 4ad is a good label with a lot of good bands. Some people like king lizard and ty seagull I'm not into it but it's good rock n roll.
Incredible to experience.
I moved to a Caribbean island in the late 80’s and became obsessed with reggae music.
I watch this and can say, without a doubt, if I hadn’t of jumped so deep into the life I had, I would have been sssooo deep up this band’s ass. 😅
I knew the radio hits but the magic these guys let loose on that stage was something I wasn’t aware of. And to think this is @ 30 yrs later. Wow. I always knew moving here would put me on a different time zone but geeeeezus.
Just fanfuckingtastic.
And now watch him play the steel pan…I’m dead. 😵 ❤️
Sooo much of a creative force.
It’s knocking me out. Chills.
Holy shit this legendary....I remember watching this 19 years ago. These songs are timeless.
I remember actually taping this broadcast on vhs and then taping the tape so I could listen to it in the car! Flea on Bass is the best it could be minus Steven
AMAZING SHOW
I did the same, I recorded this on VHS when it was live, eventually made some DVD's for that for some friends, then saw someone selling that DVD online that was a much better copy and bought that and made new copies for some friends, then here it is on RUclips! many years I have been watching this concert, and it is still one of the best ever.
Flea is the beast on bass! one of the best bassist ever
and I don’t even like RHCP
Gotta be one of their greatest performances ever... Perry's vocals and Fleas note for note Eric A's licks are spectacular
As good as this is, there is nothing like having seen them live in 91. That whole room was floating. It was an experience
Agreed. Was a different time, in a lot of aspects. Easily the best time to have caught them.
91 Lollapalooza was a monumental experience. One of the best Jane's shows. Hammerstein Ballroom NYC Halloween with Flea on bass was nothing short of extraordinary.
seen them at the boathouse in virginia bch with iggy pop oct1988 than again with little ceasar opening for them feb89 that was when the
Magick was happening. for those who never seen the Nothings Shocking tour...sry you missed the REAL.
@@sarasarah1810 No doubt about that. The rawness with Perry was on point. Incredible frontman

I was there! Still can't believe Flea was playing bass! He hit note for note and was awesome.
Flea is in a class of his own with the bass. He is amazing. Avery couldn't never get along with Farrell long enough to stay around.
Nothing’s Shocking tour epic too. They Rolled up at midnight for 9:30 Club show, about 25 of us got an amazing performance with Perry slithering up the pole center stage while singing. Loved them live big and small venues.
I had never listened to Janes before stumbling onto this. AMAZING!!! Thanks for the upload.
Same
Favourite band ever,ever,ever and ever.
This needs to be upscale and released on modern formats!!!!
Amazing band with two perfect albums and an EP, blows up at the height of their popularity. Navarro goes on (before the reality TV stuff) to join the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to make their best album. Just meteoric energy. When Perry has his shit together, they're even great live, but their studio work was incredible.
Their best album? The only album he did with them sucked and then they fired him before bringing back Frusciante.
@@paulevans8348 OK except it objectively didn't suck. Some of the strongest, most creative Chilli Pepper material. I've been a fan of theirs since Uplift Mofo, and One Hot Minute floored me.

One of the best live shows I've seen- Jane's with Pixies and Primus opening, Bill Graham Civic in SF. Last day of finals, Dec of 1990.
Ha!! I saw that show in Seattle.. Awesome
Saw that show in dome at the University of Portland
Would have been there at least for primus!!!!
Was there...perfect lineup...
Only 1 word to describe Three Days ....EPIC.
Seriously EPIC...
I was lucky enough to have that be the first song I ever heard high. I was a sophomore in HS, and I was peaking just at the moment this song came on in the room. It was also the first time I had heard the song, as Ritual had just come out. To say it was a formative experience in my musical taste is just not an appropriate sentence
"I love her I mean it's oh so serious.. as serious can be" Gives me chills every time. This concert got me into them ❤️ such a vibe
the first time i ever got to see them .. and the fact that it was halloween made it even cooler because my friends and I all dressed up - i also decided to move to NY after that night.. epic show.. we were way up top, felt like a dream... thanks for posting this vid... proof that it really happened... 💜
My brother, his GF, her sister, a one of his childhood friends and I saw this show in 97 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. The Smashing Pumpkins opened as a surprise act - they came onto stage in long wigs and dresses so they'd be unrecognizable until they played. My brother died at a young age 7 years later. This is a wonderful memory. It was an amazing experience. Glad we went and enjoyed the magic.
Life is cruel
I’m sorry for the loss of your brother. What an incredible memory that you hold in your heart. The concert looks insane.
I'm in the same situation. Saw Black Crows open for the Grateful Dead in Tampa, Fl in April 1995 with my brother who was 25 and I was 20. We lost him 1 year later. I found the Crows video here on YT. Guy filming happened to be sitting in our section. Sure enough, 1.5 minutes into it, here comes my brother and I up the stairs to our seats. Unreal man. Total mind f. I lost it bro. Woke up my wife at 1am crying loudly like I did when my mom passed in 2017. This was a month ago. I watch that video every day now so I can see us together at one of the best nights of my life. God bless RUclips and illegal pirating people taking video from 1995! Lol.
Pure ass kicking rock...there's nothing like Jane's Addiction.....
I saw these guys live on a few occasions. They always exceeded my expectations. Every show was a solid rush. It may have been a brief moment in time but it was bright.
July 3 2023 kicking ass in San Francisco. Saw you in the 80s here. Amazing you are awesome forever
Possibly the greatest rock performance of all time
It's damn good. But no
31:05 When that solo hits... I love it! Pentatonics with some chromatic notes, and just... I just love the sound of this particular solo.
Navarro can play the shit out of a guitar. Every one of his parts is like eruption
he is really great, and like Halen, an amazing rhythm guitarist
Navarro was ahead of his time in Jane's Addiction early records.
daves got fly wrap on too
His performance in Three Days alone is enough to validate your comment.
@@LesGrossman69 yep, great call. Just like SRV he burned another hole in the sun.

Maybe one of the greatest live rock & roll performance ever recorded!!
What a awesome display of all the talent on that stage. Just beautiful.
especially because they are so dynamic in their ensemble.. moving between different instruments (e.g. that interactive drum solo)
Whoever built this stage and whole decor for this concert deserves more money for the vibe he produced! Amazing.
I think is Perry's girlfriend back then, she was into decor and similar stuff... she definitely puts her signature ...
Loncco Ccala It’s such a great stage build and whole arena vibe
People keep commenting on that. What exactly is it that is so amazing? I don’t really even see anything except green and purple accent lights…what am I missing
@@mathewgladden8914well to start, it’s two stages. Main stage and then one in the middle of the crowd for the acoustic part of the set. The lighting is sick, no big screens or graphics all shadows and lighting with lots of natural and trippy elements. Also a lot of verticality, with Perry 30 ft up in the air at times while rest of the band is almost level with the crowd.
thank you for this greatest Janes Addiction live concert in its entirety...pure classic
So many bands from this era were amazing live acts. These guys are fully dialled. Never realized how spot on Avery's playing was.
Great band. Great time in history. So glad I was a part of it.
That's not Eric Avery. That's Flea.
This band was just all around incredible, 90'sbest time ever .primus tool Alice in chains Weezer ministry Soundgarden Jane's addiction all in there prime shit forgot rage
Not to be picky but you just lumped together about 6 genres that would never jive.. ya dig ? Even-tho I listen to all those bands still since they were new not ministry they started late 70's but the rest yes. Maybe I'm..... being that guy? Let me know..
Ritual delo Habitual is one of my favorite albums of all time. I can listen to it full album end to end. Funny thing was a friend in the 90s gifted me a 2nd hand casette of Ritual cause he didn't like it and this was how I discovered Jane's Addiction.
Jane's Addiction are one of my favorite bands ever. Severely underrated and so fucking badass. All those cats can really play and perform. All four of those cats are bad motherfuckers.

Mountain Song blows my balls off every time 👏
Blew my mind live many moons ago. One of my fav songs of all time.
Then She Did is their masterpiece. I realize now after all these years.
It really is
Absolutely agree 🤘🤘🤘
It can be so soft and subtle, then explode with such intensity that I've only felt from very few bands. I regret only discovering this band a few years ago.
I knew that when I was 13 yrs old
So true
I’ve been to at least 80 concerts over the years. Janes Addiction in 2000 was top 3 of all-time for me. Absolutely amazing!!
Who were the other top 3??
Wow 80 whole concerts.
Summertime rolls is most euphoric part of the show. Completely transports that crowd somewhere else. Hearing the crowd harmonize with Perry during the outro is special
Forever Jane's Venezuela fan legions
Totally agree. It's just a beautiful, flowing tapestry of sound.
Dave's blues solo came out of nowhere and it was one of the greatest things I've ever heard. So glad my dad raised me on this music. Used to not like Summertime, but now it's one of my favorite songs.
@@hihunter7also my favorite part. That second solo just hits a blues pentatonic vibe that wasn’t on the album version
I absolutely LOVE Perry's voice! How can you not!?
i can't believe how little views this has, jane's addiction was so awesome!

Ted, just admit it will always be my number one fav song
Just Beautiful.... the energy is on point!
Perry is unique. I never saw them live but he is like a Jim Morrison character.
Congratulations for being part of the tired, insecure boredom, Scott.
Shaman like. Indeed.
Christ they are on fire.. and Perry's voice sounds amazing. This is getting ripped for the car. Flea dropped in perfectly in the line up and Navarro's playing is off the chain
Simplesmente FANTÁSTICO!!!! Feliz o "ser" que pode presenciar este SHOW do Jane's Addiction no dia de halloween, com sua melhor formação!!! Um dos MELHORES shows que já vi.
Was there right in front of Dave Navarro the whole time with my former best friend and bandmate and his Detective uncle whogot us in for free with his badge.Tickets had long since sold out. Ive seen all the great bands but this was in both our top ten. We were both Class of 97 fresh out of high school. I had met and still have one pic with Dave after the show as we waited for hours. Nice guy. Also have a pic with Perrry. I was drunk and on coke and psychedelics. I thought I was in a surreal dream.
Coke and psychedelics mixed sounds awful 😨 I don't like coke tho. Rather just be on some mushies and maybe a few drinks
@@ext93ah the exaggeration! Exact same thoughts here.. both coke n psykedelics basically wasted.
Why take psykedelics when u have coke and vice versa.. Some quality spliffs, a little quality coke & a couple of beers is just fine. Or some (quality) lsd with good spliffs would be fine for the occasion...
Oh lord, i am , the droogie
Yes i am
I miss these days! I don't care that I sound old af but music is not the same these days. Watered-down soulless music.
Wow.....I really needed this tonight.
I've been a Jane's fan for ages....and have seen this show several times.
But lately.....I've been in a rut. Just this late 30s....wtf is going on stage. And then the pandemic hit. It's been a deeply frustrating few years to be honest. So watching/listening to this....full of so much LIFE and charisma and creativity and confidence and joy. It's just super inspiring.
A nice reminder that you can kinda be whatever human being you want to be. And if someone is stopping you(often yourself) just beat them up and do you. Or something....you get it.
Anyway, I've always listened to this show for the sheer musical creativity and expertise of it....It's so good.
But tonight I just let the _vibe_ of it all move me. And mission accomplished.
I need WAY more of Perry's weirdo trickster energy in my own life....
Ita 4 am, i can't sleep, and i needed this too.
Did you beat yourself up yet? If not, I'll do it for you
I'm late 20s, going to be 30 in a year. I've been in a wtf stage since last year when my dad died and I left my gf. Life is strange and frustrating. It feels like the past 5 years just flashed by. Gotta keep going til the wheels fall off tho
i was at this show. I was 23. Music today has nothing on this. Never will.
I was lucky enough to see this concert live I can’t believe there was a video. Absolutely best concert hands down. Yay for RUclips!!
Damn it. I’m gonna be late for work again. Buy the way, “I’m gonna kick tomorrow.”
Still rocking this in 2021! Boy do I miss live music!
Three Days OMG
My favorite sound of them ... beautiful version
Three days is the best song ever. Period.
I first listened to Three Days during one of my initial psychedelic experiences when I was 18. It fundamentally changed my life and my perspective of music. I don't say that in a cavalier way - this song opened my mind, opened my eyes, opened my soul. I still rate it as one of the best (maybe the best) songs ever recorded.
David is Outstandingly talented he’s the bomb!!
this is why i jones to see janes live on a daily basis. best live band Ever
Had to comment during 3 days...Navaro's solo is quite amazeballs. I played lead guitar in a good-for-somethin band yrs ago and it makes me wanna play again! Bravo. What a night in 1997!
THANK YOU for Uploading this !!!!!!! It's Amazing quality ! YOU ROCK !!!!!!!
I’ve seen many bands back in the day. This was the only band I’ve
seen that I had goose bumps the whole show. By far best live concert. Especially with flea.
Did you ever get a chance to see Faith no More live?
Flea sucks.
Maybe it's just because I was late teens and early 20's in the 90's, but Jane's Addiction concerts just had a feel, a vibe, that other artists of the same time didn't have.
Rollo Tomassi you ever get into The Butthole Surfers? Definitely nothing like Janes, but psychedelic punk rock, similar but different. Hairway to Steven is unreal and the album is on here
Early gish era Smashing pumpkins had a somewhat similar feel
No doubt, an element of danger mixed with an amazing release....like no other
they ripped
@@raulvargas4060 in the neighborhood like bridging the space between Jane's and Sonic Youth
Flea's bass is so so so powerful that it fills the rhythm guitar space keeping the song as exciting.
Well said. Allen Woody in Gov’t Mule was the same way. He’d play off Warren Haynes’s lead guitar while still taking a stroll with Matt Abts on the drums.
Flea did his best but cannot replace Eric
Such gem of a show...thank you for sharing this with the world
I was lucky to see this show live in Miami with my friends...one of highlights of my life!
I was there too. It was a magical night. Outdoor pavilion right. Will never forget that experience.
12:51 if you're not a part of the freaks, you're a part of the boredom
oy vey
That's been the case since day zero.
No frontman better than Perry at this show. Unbelievable.
PO G
Perry in all his greatness.
Perry is a showman just like Mercury was

38:38 Flea´s inspiration for the Stadium Arcadium track Readymade.
John wrote that bass riff
@@brooksenhowerschwartzaburg9661 well whether you've seen the stadium arcadium dvd a lot think it's really close to mountain song but it's not really at other than sharing the first few notes sort of
This is awesome - thanks for uploading all these cool videos! Especially the janes ones!!!
This sets as tight as an extra small condom! Flea killing it.. whole band locked in.. im over the hype of 9/13.. this blows it all away. The new tracks in 24 are awesome! One of the best bands of our time.
Can we please go back to the 90’s ? :) this had to been a incredible time.. I love small venue concerts..
Hammerstein ballroom is pretty big lol. But yeah it sucks you usually have to go to some weird rodeo monstrosity or bball stadium to see big bands but I saw radiohead and before that smashing pumpkins at one of those weird outdoor bench chair things with an awning years ago and it was amazing. But a lot of big bands still play hammerstein and roseland in portland
It was. Unbelievable bands, heaps of festivals,
Never gets old. One of the best live shows ever period!
I was at this incredible show. 21YRS AGO. Damn ima old
thank you for this amazing concert, they are just a gem🥰🥰🥰🥰
The last 6 songs on ritual de la habitual are epic . I miss you my dear Xiola. How someone could go through the pain that Perry went through is unbelievable. I guess Dave could relate. Suicide,Murder, and overdose creates great music
