    Words cannot express my sincere gratitude of what I felt and learned today. I never understood what the facsimiles meant. Thank you for taking time for all of us to increase our understanding and how it relates to us.
    Just when I thought it couldn't get any better Brother Muhlestein bore his testimony. I was so overwhelmed with the love God has for us and how He sent His Son to help us get back home to sit on a throne like Abraham. This episode will ring in my head and my heart for a long time. Thank you!

I am just grateful to know that our Heavenly Father does all he can to bring us back to him, by sending His Son and sending prophets to guide us. Also, by sending wonderful teachers to help us understand the Scriptures. Thank you for all you do to help us out and for your love. Know that you are loved too! (watching from France).

    I don't have the depth of learning you fellows have, but then I don't know that it would do me too much good. I know that what we have received comes from God, how it got here, isn't one of my top priorities. I love listening to how you can even relate the shapes of the figures to our journey back to God. I enjoy all your offerings on this years study. May the Lord keep blessing you and your families.

    Totally Amazing Wow! That was a brilliant presentation. Gosh, what a treat to have Bro Muhlestein's take & academic expertise presented to us in this video. I must say the book of Abraham has never been a book I spent alot of time with, mostly because I found it too hard to understand or try and grasp. Even all the times I looked at the facsimiles, I'd be like 'oh boy, this is over my head and looks like all the other Egyptian images I see on the history channel'. You know it's really nice to go through the facsimiles and the BOA and break it down. It was very interesting to hear how Joseph Smith acquired the papyrus, as well as hear about the revelations that came to him with the translations. Again, I see the same pattern of Heavenly Father schooling Abraham just like he did with Enoch. I also see a Father who is ready and willing to share all he has with his children from the presentations we've had so far. I love that the entire book is really about Abraham's relationship with God, as well as our relationship with God. Thank you BOM Central for putting this magnigicent presentation together ❤.

    I can't believe I never knew the books of Moses and Abraham. I converted in 88
    Thought I read book of Mormon twice but the year with the come follow me manual I felt it, saw the people in my mind they became people not story's, alma, Moroni,abinidi all brought me to tears I never had doubts but now.. anyway I struggled with D&C and thought pearl of great price was D&C. I've been effected. It's like seeing heavenly father as a individual, how loving, I could see the universe reading Moses and Abraham. I am amazed with what I've learned

    Thought you would find this interesting. My Great-great...etc. Grandmother, Philindia Merrick and her two remaining children lived with the Joseph and Emma Smith for a time after the Hauns Mill Massacre. Their home was a playground for the two children Fanny and George. Fanny's journal tells that she and George both were shown the mummy and Egyptian Papyrus and the seer stones. She testifies of them and is a witness of the greatness of Joseph and Emma. In the coming years, Philindia would remarry Paul Kohlford and Joseph would occasionally stay with them when he was in hiding where he taught Fanny to knit booties for her cat.

    Thank you for all these information, but for me is very simple: Joseph translated by the Spirit, using the same tools that he used with Book of Mormon. By the way , he translated all the Gold Plates, so is very possible after all this work he certainly was very familiar with egypt language . This is my opinion. But honestly doesn't matter for me. He did it under inspiration of the Heaven and this is enough for me to know.

    So the bottom line is Joseph translates Abraham and no one living today can read the characters? Perhaps when the millennium starts the language will be revealed.
    I just believe if Joseph said it it's true. Case closed.

    Thank you guys .God be with you .Here is what I say we are more than a physical body. If so where did our spirit come from. Why call Him Heavenly Father unless He is? I am only one and the Father of my children that does not mean that there cannot be more fathers. The same is true with our Heavenly Father he is only one and the Father of our spirit. That does not mean that there cannot be more fathers in heaven to. Is there really any limit to space?
    Thinking the essence or purposes of life is growth and to become and to overcome..a baby Can grow up and become an adult when it cannot even wipe its own bottom. Why can't we grow up and become like our Heavenly Father. Is there really any limit to space? Why call Him Heavenly Father unless He is. DO know of any chiled that cannot grow up and become an adult. I say to some we do not have the right to try to limit our potential or the potential of others. We can become more Christ like .then I ask are you a Christian? And on and on we go .sometimes I say do you believe that our Heavenly Father had some of his children here on this side of the world.?

  • @100yrds

    I have a sincere question:
    I believe Joseph was a prophet. I believe the Book of Mormon and the Book of Abraham are the word of God. I get that we don’t know what “by the Gift and Power of God” means exactly… but, what ever that process entails, we all acknowledge that Jospeh didn’t know the source language. Certainly God knows that too. So, what’s the point of the Gold plates? Like physically… Joseph didn’t read them into English… so why not just have Moroni bury the Urim and Thumin without the plates that no one (including Joseph) needs for the translation anyway? That’s my question. Why all the trouble of protecting the plates (or buying and studying the papyrus) when they weren’t needed for “translation” in the first place?

    • @taylorhalverson3052
      @taylorhalverson3052 2 года назад

      Great question. I see it as an opportunity to exercise faith and belief. Furthermore, the amount of physical evidence for the plates created an immediacy and reality for Joseph Smith and his immediate translation supporters who needed something tangible in order to support the translation efforts.
