Pull Station for Door Lock Release

Using a DPDT switch with a system sensor style pull station to release door locks in man traps.

Why does the pull station need to actuate the maglock (in your theoretical situation) directly? If the fire alarm goes into alarm, shouldn’t that automatically disengage all access control locks for the very reason of not trapping people?
