- After randomly pulling a name out of our barrel, we have 12 hours to find a bottle of Blanton's Straight From The Barrel. But first we have to spin the Wheel of Chance to see what rule we have to follow to along our hunt. Can we find a bottle in time?

This was an interesting video. I stopped by a store I check on and they had just got in a Blanton’s SFTB. I asked them to set it aside and I would stop back when I got off work to get it. It was the first time I ever saw one in the wild. They let me have it for $198. Now just have to crack it.

Bourbon hunting in KY and TN is super fun and awesome.. so, YES this is fun to watch. Hunting for quality spirits in general in the intermountain West, and especially in Utah is well, it takes a lot of time and gas and often ends in disappointment and frustration. Frank Sinatra called Utah the land of the blonde and the bland for good reason.

Being in KY this concept works. In some other states, I’m not sure you could make this game work either for availability or pricing. But, very interesting just to see all those bottles available even at those higher prices. We have a few stores in our area that have behind the glass bottles but the pricing is usually incredibly high! Good concept & video!

A local store had a special bundle of Blanton's Gold + Blanton's SFTB (both 700mL size) for $400 and I bit the bullet since I haven't seen either of them separately for less than $500 each. Probably the best score I will ever make while hunting...

Love it. Great concept. I enjoy seeing the actual store prices and availability in different parts of the country. Many stores these days are really pushing the envelope when it comes to prices. I wonder if any of the stores with really high pricing will negotiate at all or is it always take it or leave it? Anytime I’ve asked that around here (Michigan) they are firm about their prices.

Great episode, I like these hunts. $286 is on the low-end for SFTB Blantons, at least here in CA, so I think you did good.
