I know a lot of y’all are still not aware that Brandy has an entire adult daughter called Sy’Rai, and allegedly, the reason why thousands of people don’t even know about her has a lot to do with her weight.
Well, her previous weight because Sy’Rai went through one hell of a transformation.
But was Brandy embarrassed of her daughter’s weight and kept her out of the spotlight because of it?

If you didn’t know Brandy had a daughter you are NOT a big fan of hers. She delivered her on MTV yo…I think Brandy was protecting her from this hateful world if she didn’t show her as much but she always talked about her daughter as her angel and shout her out. Her daughter is also her own person. We all have made choices our parents didn’t particularly want for us. They can’t control us but support us. If she had weight loss surgery good for her, but it’s none of our business.

I'm just learning about all of this but yes I too believe she was just trying to protect her because she's famous herself as her mother this young girl would get more scrutiny than normal plus it is a known fact there are many kids that have weight on them that the minute that they start maturing and getting older that baby fat goes away so many kids start off heavy set and then they just dropped the weight as they get older because it's natural it doesn't mean that they had weight loss surgery sometimes it's just nature.

Yeah I don't think she did anything wrong by keeping her daughter very private. Both her daughter and herself were very depressed as teens and had issues with food. I think she was protecting her.

I don’t think Brandy was ashamed of her but I do believe she was protecting her, and yes i do believe she went through weight loss surgery I’ve dealt with weight my entire life up and down if surgery was necessary to save her life by all means she just need to maintain it with support from her mother. my mother along with the rest of my family used to fat shame me im learning how to talk myself out of the negative thought s on my own I pray for her and all the humans who deal with obesity ❤

I'm sorry, I can't rock with this. Brandy ALWAYS showed her daughter! Always talked about her. She had a few reality shows with her daughter clearly in the show. You cannot be a big fan of Brandy and NOT know she had a baby. She was pregnant in 1 or 2 of her music videos in addition to the entire reality show she had around her being pregnant! So anyone saying they didn't know she had a daughter is young or a new "huge" fan.
To tell you the truth, I am a Brandy fan, but I had forgotten about her daughter until now. Brandy just wasn't a Kris or Kim Kardashian type of parent. She was just.....normal. Baby girl sure looks just like her mama.🥰

I personally think Brandy not putting her child in the spotlight was a good decision. Ppl are harsh. She didn’t need her daughters mindset affected by ppl. I also think that Brandy not forcing her to have a “healthier” lifestyle was a ptsd reaction. Probably trying to keep her baby from being insecure, she didn’t try to force her things into her. Most parents do it. I practice a plant based diet, I don’t eat pork or beef. My son still does. This just shows you can never satisfy ppl! If she would have had a reality show calling her a fatty, she’d be mean… she just wanted her child to have good mental health. Simple.

Absolutely! She had a GASTRIC BYPASS or a GASTRIC SLEEVE. As of August 31st I am 19 years post Gastric Bypass. Those of us that had the procedure all have the same look thin head, neck shoulders. I was 371 lbs at my largest. Respectfully, I looked like Sarai at her heaviest and looked like her at my smallest (dropping 145 lbs). JUST BE TRUTHFUL! Weight is a serious issue. Don't have people thinking that you lost the weight naturally and you had a procedure. That can mess with a person's mind!

I agree that ppl should be honest about weight loss procedures and also plastic surgery. It's important bc it's a whole lot of little girls wondering why they aren't flawless after or during puberty. A lot of rich famous ppl would be plain looking and bigger without the procedures. Just be honest that you had help.
As a person who has had weight loss surgery, let me say this the surgery alone does not mean you automatically lose weight without putting in work, in most cases you have to start working out and lose some weight to prove that you will do it post surgery before a doctor will even consider doing it. So even if she did have surgery it doesn’t mean that she is lying about her journey however she did it she looks and and feels healthy people need to stop judging

Honestly, women go through so many social hurdles, especially with social media, to have their business thrown to the public. A huge fan of Brandy and I've followed her on Twitter since 2011 and kept up with her since her daughter was born. She has never hid her daughter. Never! For example, when Brandy was on DWTS in 2010, her daughter who was about 8 could be seen in the audience. When she's taken her daughter on trips over the year, like Disney World, she showed pics on Twitter. That is not hiding your child. Kids are so delicate, they often see things from a different point of view. But Brandy has always gone out of her way to be a loving mother to her daughter stating that her daughter is everything to her. In my mind, if she had hid her daughter, no one would know what she looked like during that time and while she was growing up.

That's most definitely weight loss surgery coming from a person who had it 20 years ago n still keep the weight off, i hide my old pics n from day 1 told folks i was on a diet plan n exercise regime only close family knew i had the surgery n that was mom n did cuz they had it to, nor even our brothers r dad knew n still to this day don't know, n know since my 23yr has gain alot of weight n exercise n diet not helping she's scheduled for surgery in October

Yeah I don't think Brandy would be embarrassed about her daughter to make sure she got surgery as she got older or anything. I truly believe she just wanted to help shield her from the hurt of mean and silly people. Society always looks at people from what they wear, their weight, how much they've spent in something, whether things are fake or not, as if it makes the quality of a person or their worth. A lot of us do it, but we gotta be mindful. I'm sure she knew people were probably gonna be mean or make fun of her weight. She probably got enough of it in school or whatever. Brandy doesn't seem to be this cruel person, especially to her own child, but we never know who people are in these times. I just don't believe it until I see it. The weight loss thing, I can see them lying about because that weight did come off too fast. Hell, I work out 3 days a week and fast at times, and it's hard for me to lose anything.
