- was finally able to go hang out with nick and hear a bit more about his perfectionist fueled obsession earlier this year. he's never quite done tweaking this beaut of a golf and we'd have a 2 hour long video if i tried to capture every little detail he's changed on it. videos just don't do this car justice, i strongly recommend you spend some extra time getting a close look if you ever come across either of these cars in person.
rachel’s golf walkaround!

Nicks car has forever been one of my favorites. The quality of his work and the amount of skill he’s developed is incredible. He painted the car, built the motor, recovered the seats, built the wheels, he’s done every single part of this himself. Few people can say they’ve done it and even fewer can do it to this level
dude for real, you nailed it. the craziest part is how humble he still is and how eager he is to give info/guidance. the both of them are some of my favorite people to get hang out and talk with, immediately welcoming like no other when first meeting ‘em.
@@mk1rabbithole yall gunna make me blush. lol
Nick has always had “I can fix it myself” attitude, not just with vws, but with computers, house stuff etc… We’ve been friends since we were teens and he’s always bailed me out when I couldn’t fix something. Dude should be building the next space shuttle, but his love of vws holds him back.
love ya buddy
Both nick and Rachel’s cars are so sick! Not to mention two of the coolest and kindest people you’ll ever meet!
Love hearing the story of how he got into upholstery
great cars from greater people. papa johns.
Videos like this are great for those of us on the other coast. Nick's (and Rachel's) cars are amazing.
i wish you knew how much i appreciated seeing shit like this. once in a while cars like these just don’t translate to video, and unfortunately this footage was taken while i was still figuring this new camera out so it adds to that effect(grainy shots inside the garage), but their owner/builder’s cellphone IG/FB posts do even less justice. the main thing is all these people i feature are never going to sit down and talk about all the little details like this on their own. it’s lost in translation over the years during the hustle and bustle. so glad it helps get you far away folk a better look at this sorta stuff.
Great video Mike! Nick's car is nuts
glad you enjoyed it, one of my favorite cars in general right there.
as a student i stand by the "if you can do it yourself cheaper" philosophy, though i can only dream of achieving this level of perfection for now.
Nice garage, love it and the contents of which are the aforementioned garage! Lovely stuff
i was like a kid in a candy store walking around it.
Really stoked to see this....great people, great cars, great footage. Good job you dirtbag!! Love it!
thanks man! really appreciate the feedback. these cars and humans kick the most ass.

Def a great car! The attention to detail is incredible

He has his shit together 👍🏼
Great title, means great 📸
it’s a bold claim that i think this car/builder rightfully deserves.
When I grow up I want to be Nick!
