B: I agree about heating. I had my tank already heated and ready when I brought my beardie home and even after a stressful 2 hour drive. As soon as I put her in the tank with a salad and she immediately started eating up! Love your videos.
You should make a video about how clean a bearded dragon's tank for the newbies. Like what to use and how to clean the tank and ornaments safely and properly.
FINALLY!! A video that was simple and so helpful!!! I'm really grateful! Due to this video, I can deffo say I'm getting a Beardy. I'm definitely subscribing! I can tell I'm going to enjoy this channel and become a big fan! 🔥😊😁
China Foster make sure you do lots of research before getting one 🙂 The lighting and some aspects of this set up aren’t quite right for a bearded dragon. UVB lights should be 3/4 of the length of the enclosure and inside so your lizard can benefit from it. No hate to this video, I think it’s a great start but people need to know to do proper research before getting a new pet.

Just got a bearded dragon. & your videos are more mellow to watch and you’re not talking loud like the other you tubers I watch. So thank you for your videos!
Tile isn’t a good substrate, it doesn’t offer any burrowing enrichment (which is extremely important for beardies) and is hard on their joints. A suitable loose substrate such as a deep layer of a soil/playsand/clay mix is best.
My friend has a Bearded Dragon, and I fell in LOVE! I've always wanted a Banana Ball Pythons, but my hubby dont like that. He finally gave in with a Lizard. After I saw that beautiful Bearded Dragon I knew I had to get one. I want a Zero Bearded Dragon, but the price is so much! The white color is just beautiful! I came to this video to see about different set ups, and saw your Zero and I'm subscribing! You're 100% going to be someone I watch more! I love Reptiles and just all animals! Love this video!
I am in love with bearded dragons, and I just got the best result.. I can take care of the bearded dragon in the lab over spring break, so this is perfect for me.
This is helpful. I am taking care of a beardie who was someone else's, but they won't be able to take care if it for a few years. Thing is they used cat litter for the flooring. And I don't think its safe for it. Glad I found this video.
Thank you for this info. My son was given a bearded dragon today and the previous owner had it sat up all wrong. I like your idea of tile. Gonna head to the store tomorrow to get some.
Avoid chain petstores. Check out reptile expos and Craigslist. Look for reputable local petstores and breeders. Check morph market, just research the breeder before buying. Avoid BHB, underground reptiles, LLL, backwater reptiles, snakes at sunset, and cb reptiles
I love it. I have the same set up. The foam background though....I have to put it outside the enclosure lol. My beardie was always climbing on it and tearing it up.
Thanks for the help! I am hopefully getting a bearded dragon this weekend and i have already got an idea of what ima get now haha, i was also looking at the same exact enclosure too
Love your set up man ! Just got my beardie a few weeks ago his name is Draco he’s wonderful I love him ! Great channel man honestly ! He’s in a 20 long at the moment
Thanks so much! From this video I thought to replace my sandmat that was *so annoying to clean* with a tile like floor so now it’s *so much easier* to clean
gacha vans 2 things, 1 personally I would never use sand because if your dragon ingests it could get an impaction, 2 my dad had some leftover from our house
Important to have the correct UVB for beardies aswell. Murcury vapour UVB bulbs cause over exposure and are dangerous. An inside mounted T8 or on top of the screen T5 With reptisun 10.0 UVB Tube lights are essential and critical to their health. other than that I totally agree with everything in your video 😊 I love watching your channel.
Thank you soooooo much! I noticed your light set up and that helped me sooooo much! I usually seen videos with the lights on opposite sides of the tank, and I seen yours were in one spot, my baby beardie really prefers your light set up! 😻💖💖
I feel it be easier if you put in description where you buy the stuff or a link....i enjoy your vids but that would help like the timer where is it from?
Wish I could put fake plants in my near dies enclosure... I used to have tons in there until one day I saw her trying to munch on one of the plastic leafs. Some advice to new owners... cause I never see anyone address this in videos, but if you’re going to put plastic plants in the tank make sure you are monitoring your beardie. (This didn’t start being a problem for me till she was an adult) if you have this problem then replace to fake plants with real plants they can eat like cilantro. Also I want to add the timer he put in the video is pretty chill but if you want to control it from your phone if you’re away from the house i recommend getting the wyze plug so you can plug all your lights into it.
This is so funny😂 because it happened to me too! I even tried to put a fake cactus and let me tell you that was one of my most scariest encounters ever! The half of the cactus was down her throat and I was holding the other half forcing trying not to let her eat it, I was afraid she was gone bite me .. Till I was like if I don’t take the courage she gone die and I stop being afraid and took the cactus out her mouth. Never again!😂😂she’s currently 4 years old now.
The minimum in the UK is 4ft x 2ft x 2ft (length x width x height) and the UK has better care standards than the US so I use that is the minimum. I personally keep my beardie in a 5ft x 2ft x 2ft and I wouldn't put her in anything smaller. A 40 gallon tank isn't even twice the length of an adult beardie. It's fine for a baby though. Also if you are using a coil/compact UVB you need to change it to a tube UVB. Coil/compact UVB lights do not give out enough UVB and can cause eye issues.
What size tile is that and did you have to do any cutting? I have the 40 gallon tank from zoomed but don't have anyone that can cut it for me since home depot and lowes won't do it
I want to get a bearded dragon and this helped a lot for things I need to know I am going to much much more research before getting one but this helped on the habitat thank you 🙏

@@ianlmao7158 a 40 gallon is too small for a bearded dragon and you can use sand but only play sand
You should make a video about how clean a bearded dragon's tank for the newbies. Like what to use and how to clean the tank and ornaments safely and properly.
Dawn dish soap
@@Terrell845: there is also reptile cleaner, its all natural so if you clean the tank it doesnt harm them :)
Warm water and dish soap is cheapest and easy and it works good
Depends, dish soap when you're going to deep clean it.
Then you can use vinegar and water for upkeep.
F10 disinfectant works great and is safe for reptiles :)
