You boys should switch from lure fishing to deadbaiting if you are blanking. I’ve been blanking on the lures lately but have been deadbaiting recently and have pulled few pike out so far 👍🏻 Be nice to see how you two set your deadbait rigs up plus it saves you walking miles lure fishing

The redness on the flanks of that fish looks as though its been unhooked on gravel etc. See it alot on some. Of the pressured waters near me. Unfortunately there are alot of noddys who fish for pike without a clue how to handle them 😥

No your covered if you have your licence. Some stretch's of canal are ran by clubs tho so you'll have to pay a day ticket for those. Keep an eye out for signs along the canal. Good luck

That 9lb 6 oz pike have been caught in the summer, warm and dry, no mat, maybe net onto dry ground, if you look close you probay see the skin off it on the floor somewhere, by people that think any idiot can catch pike. You should have looked for hooks in its mouth aswell. No need to wear silk gloves when handle pike, but dont put it on dry warm ground....
