    No one ever tells you that your gonna be blatantly discriminated...Being attracted to the same gender, you always got to put up your shield...

    See, this is why gay characters need to be played by actual gay actors....
    "Are you sassy, Allison?"
    That line came across so naturally, in a way that would require coaching of a hetero actor. As gay people know...it is better when nobody is faking, and everybody is being authentic.

      Rami Malik plays a gay character great in the war at home.

      I haven't seen that show in almost 10 years.... As I recall, he played a stereotypical gay guy, which is easy to fake. It is also offensive to have someone mock femme gay people. My point is, if you want it done authentically without having to teach/work at it, just hire a gay actor. You don't hire a bricklayer to do your plumbing.

      Kevin_in_207 I understand your point but I find Kenny's character very stereotypical too.

      I'm gay and I don't act very effeminate, but I know a lot of gay guys that do and it doesn't bother me when they are portrayed that way on tv.

    Did anyone else notice the mountain in the background in Chicago? When they pulled into the restaurant parking lot.

      I’m like a year late and there’s like no chance you’ll ever see this, but the song at the end is All We Ever Knew by The Head and the Heart.

    @Kevin_in_207:
    So why call it acting? So that means you are saying that only heterosexuals can play heterosexual characters, and minority actors only minority characters. So why does Louie Anderson play so well the female lead in the series: Baskets?
