Maaaaan oh man, the design language that Sony is using on their new phones and tablets is absolutely gorgeous. Very sleek, very minimalist, and just beautiful. I actually want to buy a Sony Android product for the first time ever.

I'm finally getting a Tablet and I just don't do Apple products for a number of reasons. I vastly prefer Android and even Windows 8 to Apple's OS. I was looking around at reviews and this one caught my eye. The biggest issue with most reviews was the price (understandably), but now I can get one for about $419.99. Is it worth it at the discounted price?
I recommend this tablet. When you hold the device, it's like magic. You'll love the slick design so much that you have that urge to break it in two. It feels so nice... oh ma gawd...

The phone version if beautiful as well. What stops me from purchasing these products is the lack of stock android, as they don't run as smooth as a Nexus and iPhone.

Nice! But how long does the battery last. And what does PS certified mean? Does this give me any advantages as an PS User (even PS+). And I heard it takes an eternity to fully load the battery (6 hours)

I am returning my tablet z. I had watched many videos and thought I made the right choice. I soon learned that the tablet does not pull enough current though the usb wall charger to even power the device. That means when the tablet is plugged in and you using it, the battery will still loose power. The tablet takes more power than the usb can deliver.
Oh well i will see for my self i have saved and purchased this in 32gb black verstion. arrives tomo? i still have the 4th gen ipad and whats frustrating is all the restrictions apple put on this devise, when i travel the www, i mean whats the point of limiting what i can and cant do with it? Kids understandable. Macbook no problem. Ok so i'll have ago with the Sony Ex Tab Z and comment on my findings.lol

I found battery to be good. It lasts about 6-10 hours before needing to be recharged ... however after only 2 weeks it died for no reason (never dropped or hit) and now they are saying they found a light crack in the screen which I couldn't see when I dropped it off to find out what was wrong.... cracked screen not covered and any crack will render it completely useless (most devices seem to be able to work with chips or small cracks in screen, NOT THIS and again cracks are NOT covered).
i cant make calls in it... i updated it to 4.3

Srsly? Because I consider buying this tablet and heard in a couple of reviews that the battery dies after 4-5 hours :) true or false?
S4 processor - This processor was a beast last year, but Qualcomm has a new processor lineup (800, 600, 200). The most powerful 800 will be available mid year, but the 600 is already available, and is claimed by Qualcomm to be 40% more powerful than the S4.
The Nexus 10, a tablet released last year, already has a better processor (based on benchmarks), an insanely high resolution screen, and is $100 cheaper. The only upgrade is RAM and, something I admittedly really love, being waterproof.

This tablet compares more to the TF700 Infinity, it's got a full HD display and more powerful processor among other things. But even out of those 2 i would pick the Xperia tablet z, as it is more powerful and it's thinner and lighter and waterproof.
BUT both of these tablets are significantly more expensive than the TF300. The TF300 is something around $350, while the other ones are $500.

Well, I would prefer to the amoled to ony's one. And Sony's reality screen technology is actually advertised as "not real colours". I saw it in an xperia z ad. And that's a really great advertisement, btw. And as I wrote I'm fooking forwart to OLED screens, which are even better than AMOLED.

Heh, since I mentioned "Quad Core Krait"... it's obviously S4 Pro :) well we have snapdragon 600 now, so yeah
I'd prefer shatter proof tablet oppose to water proof. The probability of dropping it is more likely then swimming with it. Nevertheless it looks good probably best tablet out there. Smooth and lots of speed and for once Sony ui looks good best suited for tablets.

Did anyone else notice that the battery went down 2% in the 4 minutes that he had it on? That means in an hour it will have gone down 30%, so therefore a full charge at this rate it will last roughly 3.2 hours...?

the expandable memory is the deal breaker for the nexus....

looks awesome, but damn I hate all these custom skins... If I would get this one, I would put immediatly CyanogenMod on it.
and btw. i got the tablet Z, but returned it. so i know how comfortable it is and i feel sorry for you for having to live with that extremely uncomfortable tablet.

Sony should've used this LED-backlit LCD panel on the Xperia Z, Contrast and viewing angles looks so good on this tablet, on the Z its awful!
No lag, Samsung take note, excuse the punt. Anyone looking for android tablet then this is the one. I hate Sony phones but this tablet is good.
