Nice review! I have had this knife for about a week and it’s been fantastic to edc! I know it’s $300 which is pricey for an overseas production blade but with the materials (Vanax!) used and good build quality it’s acceptable. An excellent edc knife!
I just won a BNIB black/satin version of this knife tonight! I've never owned a QC or used Vanax Super Clean before, & I am STOKED! Thanks for the review! 😃
Great review and overview! Love my Waypoint! Just so folks know, the scale opposite of the LC200N liner does have significant internal milling. Considering the quality of materials and solid, simple construction, I think this knife offers great value at $295. Grab one if you’re on the fence. It will be a strong contender for knife of the year in my view.
EZ-PZ that’s correct, there’s only one side with the liner lock made of LC200N. The show side has no liner, but it does have significant internal milling to reduce weight.
They just sold out of the sw/sw but they still have the black handle ones in stock. They keep coming back in stock after selling out so they are definitely replenishing them.
Its August 20,2021. Quietcarry just restocked their Waypoint knives. I waited patiently for the 10:00 PST start of the sales. Carefully, I pre-entered my name and shipping address, so I could be sure to get through the process quickly. I anxiously refreshed my computer every 10 seconds starting at 09:59 excitedly ready to start the processing. At 10:00 sharp, there it was and bam, I almost lost half a finger hitting the "Buy" button. Wow, I thought, finally after months waiting for the restock, there it was on the screen for me to OK my buyers info. Half a second later, there I was, ready to enter the first digits from my credit card. Then BAM, the message came up- sold out, and my cart was modified to empty. All this happened in much less than a minute. Holy fungicide! Order Bots used by resellers??
I'm cracking up because I was just on the site and they're sold out, now I'm watching your video and you literally just talked to me, as I sit here watching your video 2 years in the future. LOL
I just got mine today it’s the SWSA it looks stone washed. It’s my first flipper, two more WEs are on the way. I find it a bit stiff, either my right hand is not exercised enough or it will wear in soon enough. I know I can dismantle it but shouldn’t be necessary. I’d like to mention that Quiet Carry were very quick in sending it to Australia, bit over a week and a half, quicker than the Australian distributor of the WE knives. Probably due to current delivery issues in Oz.
I am glade you enjoyed the knife . I could not have given a better review. I am one that likes bigger knives but for EDC you really can't go wrong. Thanks for the shout out brother.
Same here this finds it way into my almost every day. My first impression was it felt almost to slim, but it’s really grown on me. I usually carry 2 knives and this is a knife that you could make your primary or secondary. Just a well made knife great detent and excellent materials.
Have you noticed any blade play in long term use? I got mine a week ago and there seems to be a bit of vertical play and that has me concerned. Do you think I should contact warranty support?
I just got one and i noticed it seems theres a liner pn one side and just titanium handle on the other side. Also the pocket clip is canted the wrong way i thought that was odd. Also I don't see a stop pin.
Wonderful, gorgeous, I was about to go to their website but then I heard the price and it's a total kill. It's a bit of Sebenza essence and for 150 extra I'd rather get the Benza. Great vid buddy.
I used to be in a pistol club, this guy had a stainless steel black powder pistol. The cylinder can be removed for cleaning and reloading, you need to clean the burnt powder residue and the goo you apply to prevent flashover. He puts it inside his dishwasher and he says it comes out perfect. You have several cylinders when using. Sorry irrelevant, I know.
If only this thing was rat 1 sized UGH I would go john wick to get one. My elementum can cut zip ties but I dont think I can trust the tip on the waypoint.
I love your reviews. However for this knife I think you're missing the point. Vanax has better strength and edge retention than m390 but rustproof.. It's a rare steel
quietcarry.com/pages/materials at the bottom of the page - Taiwan for manufacturing of individual components. Finishes and heat treatment (by Peter's since it's Vanax) in the US, followed by assembly/QC in the US I'd assume.

Have two Quietcarry knives and enjoy them both - feel like these guys are making some smart design choices in materials simple clean designs.
I actually am watching this 2 years in the future and these are currently available...you're a wizard, Complex 🙌
8:02 me watching this not 2 but 3 years in the future 😅

An excellent edc knife!
Grabbed one of these to replace my 940. Wanted a reverse tanto-esque, thin carry.
Had too many issues with benchmade in recent years to buy any more.
I just won a BNIB black/satin version of this knife tonight! I've never owned a QC or used Vanax Super Clean before, & I am STOKED!
Thanks for the review! 😃
Awesome! It’s a very classy looking knife for sure! I like it a lot but I think I would like the Drift better.
I’m trying to win a drift right now on ig lol the urban edc exclusive one

It doesnt appear there is a liner on the other side just titanium handle

And if you are looking for these on vendor websites... don't. They never released them to vendors. These are sold by Quiet Carry.

Great vid. Nice little knife. I think the spyderco also makes a knife that has lc200n blade and liner locks. Caribbean?

I know this is an older video, but having handled both would you get the Waypoint or Drift?
Not sure if you'll get this since the video is older but I have a question. Do you know of a knife like this but with a flipper? Thank you.
I am glade you enjoyed the knife . I could not have given a better review. I am one that likes bigger knives but for EDC you really can't go wrong. Thanks for the shout out brother.
DTOM Knives and Gear has any part of it ever rusted or anything like that?
Definite knife of the year contender. Do you have an Amazon store?
Why YES! Yes I do! 🤣
This ends up in my pocket even when I try to carry something else. Right now, it's my favorite knife.

Yea why not?

4 years in the future. Thanks dude!
Very cool, really like this one. Quite an appealing little knife. Great review.
I just got the Quietcarry keychain knife, it’s an inch long, with titanium handle.
Wonderful, gorgeous, I was about to go to their website but then I heard the price and it's a total kill. It's a bit of Sebenza essence and for 150 extra I'd rather get the Benza. Great vid buddy.
I'm liking what QuietCarry is doing
Is this knife actually going to continue to be produced or is it a few runs and that's that?
complex i went to check it out and its not there!
Nice mine is coming in today
Awesome! I took the pivot screw out and added some blue loctite. It’s a great carry friendly blade!
Great looking blade
One bad$&@ knife!! Checking it out from the gram post 2day.. nice work
DTOM is the man!
“Check you pants before you do the laundry” ehh it’s waterproof 😂
Not because of worries of corrosion... but simply because it's better if it doesn't bang around in a washing machine.
Metal Complex I know 🤣🤣 just jokin around like “the knife you can put in the washing machine” 😂

Think of it as a $300.00 Sebenza, the price is right!
Pretty good comparison! I compared it to my 21 and I probably would pick this to carry more often.
1st day at work with my Maxamet para3, every time i opened it throughout the day i noticed new rust spots💀
Did you measure it behind the edge?
It's like 15 thousandths or less. It's incredibly thin.
Ah crap, I’m watching this two years in the future
I love my Waypoint
Looks good. A little on the dainty side.
Nice gents carry
Seems like a clean, simple design that would make a great edc.
It's the Perfect Knife!
This is manufactured in the US?
If only this thing was rat 1 sized UGH I would go john wick to get one. My elementum can cut zip ties but I dont think I can trust the tip on the waypoint.

Not better edge retention but close
Nice knife, just a little small for my taste.
Looks good but seems like everything is all sold out
It would be interesting if this was a front flipper instead of a thumb stud.
Are these made in China?
No one knows. They are made"overseas" but the company isn't saying where.
@@jameskerlin6081 Yeah, they ignored my email asking that. We can probably assume that means China.
My guess is Taiwan
China or Taiwan

Do they call themselves quiet carry because if you told someone what you paid for such a small knife you'd be branded as crazy?
You have to buy a big knife to be sane?
Another beautiful knife ruined by a wire pocket clip.
Everywhere I've looked they are out of stock...
EVERYWHERE!
