*FYI:* If you are in an area where bugs/mosquitos are annoying, let me share a truly helpful insect-repellant that surprisingly few know about. I discovered this some few years ago through my own logic/deduction. *Vicks Salve or a Generic Brand" I loathe the chemical sprays and this stays on even when I "glisten" (Ladies don't sweat in the South you see, we "glisten") 😁 I also use Oils and Incents with (Essential Oils) Tea Tree Oil, Lemon Oil, and Peppermint Oil. ...and I wear loose long sleeve work shirts, the more worn the better, they are cooler. Just noticed all the guys swatting the pests and wanted to give ya a heads-up on this little helpful "know". Enjoy!
Great fun video. Thanks for allowing us into your adventures. You were both smiling like little kids. Somewhere around 8:00 to 8:10 your smile looked like your son's big bright smile.
Gold and garnets!! That was a fun time for you both! Thank goodness it was only your lens cap that you lost ☺ That group was very cool to invite you 2 out to look for gold 😃 and to top it off; I see a Stealth Diggers t-shirt worn by one of the guys. Two of my favorite channels; yours is 1st and Stealth Diggers/Not Thursday is 2nd 👍 We all like receiving rain, just not while we're out enjoying some gold panning/metal detecting 😂 Have a great weekend!!
That looks like fun, haven't done that for a while, I need to dig out my old pans. I'm working on my Jeep so I can go out to the desert and do some exploring maybe find some gold. Love the video take care and tell us how the Turtle eggs are doing.👍❤
Enjoyed watching. Nice size gold you were all finding. The garnets were beautiful and nice that the Mercury was being found and removed. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
I panned in Alaska for years and it NEVER got old finding gold. Or any precious metals and stones. Garnets, platinum, silver, & many others. Enjoyed your excitement over finding them too.
Nice glad to see a pan in your hands a lot of your adventures I see streams in them I’d pan them streams. Just test pan spots than mark on gps and go back. Nice pickers for you and Eddie. Thank you
Ah!!!!!!! So sad, Brad. You'll find more, don't give up. Hard Work! Got to give Scott, Rick, and Justin credit for all their Hard and Tireless Work in season and out of season. Especially for sharing with GMMD. PS Don't let Brad carry the loot he's been known to drop garnets. LOL! Loved it!
I'm addicted to this channel! My husband got me a sluice for Christmas and I have gold fever in the middle of winter 🤣 Great production value on these videos!
One thing about Australia is the amount of large pieces of gold still easily detected with modern detectors and the variety and accessiblity of gem stones. My brother does a well researched expedition most years. He has found three large nuggets which he made into pendants for his wife and two girls .Each was worth a few thousand dollars. All were quite thin but about an inch in diameter One resembled the shape of Australia. Another was like a New Zealand Kiwi. He mounted a garnet as an eye .The larger stones he finds he has cut in Australia, but the dozens of smaller ones he sends to Asia to be cut. They cover the cost of extended vacations, provide a bit of extra income, and some nice gifts. He was going to take his wife on her first trip this year but Covid stopped them travelling. Garnets are among my favourite gems and come in a variety of colours.
Here in Alaska, if we can pick it out of the pan, we call those baby Nugs “pickers” and the bring a little bit more when you sell as many pieces of jewelry are made from them..... The fines and such are smelted down into ingots. Nice day on the Creek you guys had, good times👍. And thanks for sharing!!
That was great. I love panning for gold. The Garnets are awesome too. What a great day minus the rain. Glad you got to do this. Love this video & thanks for sharing.
Hi Brad & Eddie, congratulations to you both, it looked like you had a great time amongst friends which is always a win and with the gold and garnets too that you both found it was a great day. Thank you for sharing. x
Nice video, I guess you and Eddie will be carrying gold pans in your packs now. I'm thinking you'll always remember that lost garnet as the "Darn It - Garnet".
Love this buddy would love to have a go at this hope you are well buddy and some well nice bits of gold in the pan sending my brother mart over to check you guys out
We've got old abandoned Garnet mines here in the NC mountains. Historically, Garnet was mined to make sand paper. This practice went away with the introduction of Using aluminum oxide or silicon carbide. Sand and glass were also sometimes used. They come in different sizes, and can be regular old garnet, or gem quality.
People have found gold in Home Depot bags of sand. Not the play sand but the other bags they sell for mixing with concrete. You guys looked like you had a really good time. Have a good week and stay safe.
Awesome video. Very exciting. In the early 1970’s I panned gold near the headwaters of the Connecticut River near the Connecticut Lakes in New Hampshire. Hard work but thrilling.
Keep your eyes pealed for amethyst, and many other crystals. Jet, tormaline, rutilated quartz! I can't wait for warmer weather to get back to rockhounding here in Vermont.
Hi Brad, Hi Eddie, I had to stop and think a minute when I saw the Stealth Diggers tee shirt. What am I watching. Lol Another great channel to watch with Not Thursday as well. Great bunch of guys. Right now , gold panning with with you two. Enjoyed the video like always Brad. Very interesting. Later, Joyce. ARROW *🎱 🇺🇸❤️
My parents took us to Colorado when I was a kid and we did some casual gold panning at Cripple Creek. I haven't done any panning since but 45 year later, I still have gold fever.
HEY BRAD & EDDIE, GARNET'S GALORE - NICE GOLD PICKER.!!!! BLACK SAND IS THE PLACE TO FIND GOLD & GARNET'S.!!!!!!! NEXT - TIME YOU GO, TRY TO FIND YOU A CREVICE TO WORK ALONG THE WATER LINE.!!!!!!! YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED.!!!!!!!! WAY - TO GO.!!!!! GUY'S.!!!!!!!
Thank you, I am a gold miner since a small child who has no one to go out with and mine now..... So enjoyed this video, it was almost like being there. now I am tired lol
You guys got lucky. Nice finds. Make some jewelry for your ladies with those garnets. I found a little stream in my neck of the woods, I'm gonna go fill my bucket and bring it home and pan it yes I got the fever. Darn you guys 😉 can't wait for next video.
Before industrialized mining, the 49ers panned 7 million pounds of gold out of California ... and left 7 million pounds of mercury in the streams. It is still there today.
Looked like you were having a blast!! Did you try the Vicks vapo for the black flies? It works great for mosquitos!! Enjoyed seeing Eddie, love the hair Eddie cool and clean!! Much love y'all.
The gold bug will bite you careful! My buddy and I are hoping to get several grams this weekend. Purchase pay dirt or pan smashed shot gun pellets. There is a skill to panning! Also take a look at the banjo pan while in the river it works awesome! Also the real gold is the friends you make!
I have been watching a guy pick up loose garnets on the shore of the Thames. He gave them away. Since that is my birthstone, I asked for one. He sent me three. Two were used in a white gold ring I had made with my blue star sapphire in the middle. Now I am awaiting the matching pendant made with the third garnet. Having a hefty dose of English heritage, I am quite proud of those garnets.

When you lost your garnet, it reminded me of Gollum, when he lost the ring. Preciousss.
Great time in the streams of Vt. Can you imagine the larger pieces they used to pull out?
Well looks like a bunch of fun I enjoyed this video
Awesome video. Very exciting. In the early 1970’s I panned gold near the headwaters of the Connecticut River near the Connecticut Lakes in New Hampshire. Hard work but thrilling.

Sweet Boyz!! I'd be see if I could rent one of those small gas powered dredges and set a sluice box !
They need a backhoe and dredger. Go Deep. Wishing them much gold for all the effort.
Can’t use those in Vermont. You can use a regular sluice but you need a permit.
The shot with the gold on your finger is impressive. Dang, you guys look cold.
I would have been stoked with one little speck...nice job
You guys got lucky. Nice finds. Make some jewelry for your ladies with those garnets. I found a little stream in my neck of the woods, I'm gonna go fill my bucket and bring it home and pan it yes I got the fever. Darn you guys 😉 can't wait for next video.
What awesome countryside....g'day from Perth, Western Australia
Eddire is back!!
Digging the new intro music
Before industrialized mining, the 49ers panned 7 million pounds of gold out of California ... and left 7 million pounds of mercury in the streams. It is still there today.
Yup, I find mercury in my pans every time I go here in cali. The 49ers stuff is still littered through the mountains of the mother lode
Cool I didn't know that you were able to get Garnett's in Vermont
Awsome fun isn't it especially in the summer when it's hot I enjoy that alot congrats to you both and good luck
Looked like you were having a blast!! Did you try the Vicks vapo for the black flies? It works great for mosquitos!! Enjoyed seeing Eddie, love the hair Eddie cool and clean!! Much love y'all.
Congratulations Eddie on the gold flake !
The gold bug will bite you careful! My buddy and I are hoping to get several grams this weekend. Purchase pay dirt or pan smashed shot gun pellets. There is a skill to panning! Also take a look at the banjo pan while in the river it works awesome! Also the real gold is the friends you make!
I live 5 miles from Bartons mines in the Adirondacks, one of the biggest garnett mines in the country
I have been watching a guy pick up loose garnets on the shore of the Thames. He gave them away. Since that is my birthstone, I asked for one. He sent me three. That was excìting. Thankyou.
I know that spot well and that group of guys! Great spot and great fellas! I’ve pulled a lot of gold out of there myself! Well done.
Wish the Shenandoah had loose garnets . Garnets are found in the rocks....not loose. Very cool!!
When you went to pick up your gold I was screaming don't do it as if you could hear me ... think its old age staring me in the face and laughing x
Loving your videos man!!
I love your videos, keep em' up.
Gold and garnets makes a beautiful combination. Like the last ring I found.
I'm about to drive up there right now!
ABeautifulHeartBeat where is this spot
