I was thrilled to find this years ago...a local San Diego broadcast, The "Family"-era Pirates before they fell off a cliff in 1984, and a 1981 split season game.
I love these classics. Please add ANY San Diego Padres television broadcast from 1977-84... ANY Mets,Braves,Reds, Giants,Dodgers, Phillies broadcast vs Padres from the 70s or early 80s? Please add to archives for fan viewing. That would be a treasure. This is oldest televised Padres broadcast I've ever seen. Is there ANY older games in existence
Leitner, Coleman, and Campbell had a unique and somewhat irreverent banter that was curiously entertaining. It wasn’t the classic Barber/Allen style or Martin/Woods style, but it was indeed fun.
Gary Coleman, what a voice.
Jerry Coleman was my best friend in the late 70s and early 80s. Made all my worries go away just listening on the transistor radio.
Old school Padres. Brings back memories.
Was in mom's womb and came into this world 3 months later ,one hell of a great game

Thanks good channel
I LOVE this throwback game. Are there anymore? I'd love to watch a Padres game from 1977-1980
I love the old padres announcers
Pascual Perez running to the bullpen in front of the Padre dugout. Foreshadowing of things to come
He was trouble with the Yankees also.
1:32 how in the HELL is that not a strike?~!
I was thinking the same thing! That was right over the plate and just above knee-high! No argument from the batter either
Nice. The late Jerry Coleman (who actually managed Pads in 1980) and Ted Leitner. Terrible Ted still bloviates on Pads Radio.
Ted Leitner just retired from the Padres Radio Booth after 41 years.
@@williamdunphy352 My mistake. Ted might have picked wrong year to retire, Padres are loaded this season.
@@douglaslowe5 Now, the radio side will have Jesse Agler & Tony Gwynn, Jr.
Ted and Jerry...=CHILDHOOD
Padres pitcher Rick Wise was so old he made his major league debut just months after JFK was assassinated. Hes still alive in 2021. Life well lived.
More 1981 Padre games please. Or 1980.
Parker made his mistakes true, but he played hard and played hurt, those fans were brutal.
18:15 These are Pirates fans too. Mike Schmidt dealt with it but thankfully stayed in Philly.
1:03 never seen anyone choke up that much
That was Gene Richards style. Always choking up the bat...
the end of the game was exciting
That still looks like Arn Anderson.
Lol. Who does?
Earning 17% on a tax free account from Home Savings? 17%? (14:51)
Good one! No, not Bud!! I'll have a few ice cold Iron City Beers with that Game! I got to see 2 games at 3 Rivers. in
1971 and 1975!

Would you like to do 1988 giants and reds from nbc?!
Hmmm.... I don't have a 1988 NBC GOW Giants v Reds - would like to see it
I understand
When baseball was fun to watch, and the ball girls kept me hoping for foul balls.
Big frank howard Padres mgr
how come Jim Lefebvre was le-fever and Joe Lefebvre is la-Fay?
Oh Doctor!
