This was really helpful for me as someone who rarely builds their own decks. I find the process overwhelming but hearing your thought process makes it feel more doable.
Awesome video dude. I’m a nerd for deck profile videos but this was even better, can’t wait to see more for other archetypes or other non archetype specific decks
Missed opportunity imo. Focus on one here fusion and max out the normals. 3 cayman 3 spark man. Keep 3 swamp and 3 cyber dragon. Add 3 T dragon with last will and stein. Light hex sealed allows you to cheat out every fusion in your fusion deck as well plus the poly with king of swamp is very powerful combo tbh. I’d like to see a focus on that. Can add in sangan too. With generic good cards might be able to squeeze in BLS too. Thunder dragon plus serpent allows you to keep in copies of discard traps as well. Weiughtweiler and hero signal allow a combo that means you don’t drop mad card advantage per hero fusion and is a nice combo tbh. I’d like to see this route a little more than what you did.
That's definitely a valid route as well! That's a bit more of a general fusion deck to me than a HERO build specifically so it wasn't really what I wanted to go for with this particular build. However I know people have been experimenting with similar sorts of ideas using the Light Hex Sealed Fusion on the Discord server so definitely check out there if you want to see discussion on that!
Very cool video! I suggest you to play 2 Miracle Fusions and 1 Poly as you can search it with King of the Swamp, putting KotS in the GY at the same time for a MF play. One of the six discard traps, Duo or a Dustshoot can be also sided, because I think you do want Heavy in the main in case you want to go for a strong Miracle Fusion play, especially since you have burn potential with Flame Wingman. It might be worth it
The one issue with Poly is that it's really bad for us in situations where we've already burned through our fusion materials for discards. But it could definitely be something to experiment with! After playing some games with the deck (which should be featured in a video going up relatively soon) I definitely like Heavy in the deck over one Dustshoot, as Dustshoot can have the tendency to brick, which is awkward when you have a Bubbleman ready to go.
It helps to build heroes when you summon wingman and then immediately realize wingman sucks so you take out the slightly worse vanillas LMAO I personally find this video interesting, although a competitive hero build probably includes just playing sparkman + light hex sealed fusion + miracle fusion and then good cards, chaos cards, bls, etc
Light Hex Sealed Fusion is definitely another direction you can go with the deck! I'm not sure which version would be more competitive, but either way I'm happy with my build, I think it's a unique take on the deck that is decently strong in its own right
Dude you gotta get over the OCD addiction; *THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH PLAYING OVER 40 CARDS, especially when you are playing a deck with a lot of bricks!* In fact modern deck theory says actually over 40 up to even 60 is fine, you just need the cards to be mostly interchangeable so your hand quality stays good.
The problem with going above 40 in a format like this is that the cards in this deck are very much not interchangeable. Also the deck really wants to see certain cards like Sinister Serpent, which means you want to maximize your chances of drawing them (or drawing Sangan, the only searcher for Serpent). So in this case 40 cards is definitely the ideal to strive for. Generally the main reason you'd go above 40 in this era of the game's history is if you've got a card you don't want to draw or if you're playing a deck where the quality of every card is equal. This deck satisfies neither of those conditions so 40 is the correct deck size for it in my opinion.
I think 60 card piles work in modern bc there is an almost comedic amount of tutor effects, in most retro formats you don’t get that kind of access to your deck
I love your whole mentality dude I wish I had a friend like you and we could just hang out and cook up sick decks

Glad it helped!

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm planning on making more in the future although they probably won't be too frequent
Snatch Steal is so good to steal and fuse with your opponent's HEROs in the mirror Kappa
Yeah that would be the dream if you can pull it off lol

How would Aretos build this deck?
I'm not sure, but I'm sure their end result would be based

Shining wingman + hero signal also lets you float into exactly the materials for thunder giant, although hero signal is kinda sus

HERO SIGNAL is good with CREATURE SWAP and Gladiator Beasts (to get Prisma)
Creature Swap and Hero Signal is an interesting tech, even without Glads in the format!
Wroughtweiler is good with BLACK GARDEN though cuz it is 800 ATK... same with summoner monk/armageddon knight combo
It can be, but I generally try to just consider the cards available in the format I'm building for
