    PTKM-1R consists of:
    transport and launch container;
    combat element.
The transport and launch container is equipped with acoustic and seismic target sensors, the combat element is equipped with infrared and radar sensors.
Through the use of acoustic and seismic sensors, the mine is capable of detecting a target at a range of up to 250 meters. When a tank or armored vehicle is detected, the mine tilts slightly in the desired direction. When the target is in the affected area, the submunition is launched. It takes off to a height of several tens of meters, rotating in flight, scans the area using a radar and a thermal imager (reacts to the heat of the engine and its exhaust), aims at the target and hits the roof of the tower with a cumulative impact core [1] [4].
The mine is installed manually and can remain activated for up to 10 days[5]. After the specified period, the mine can self-destruct so as not to pose a threat to the civilian population.

70% of the entire Soviet economy was dedicated towards military production, its only natural when you have literally 90 million workers in your industries developing.
Soviets even made exoskeleton prototype in the late 80s capable of lifting 50kg each arm but battery technology was too poor at the time apparently, Soviets also had small suicide drones in the 80s, way ahead of anyone else but collapse of USSR saw the stop of all these projects, including next generation MBT project in USSR which saw tanks with increased top armour to counter western shoulder fired missiles and featuring 152mm or 155mm main guns with 20mm autocannons, the Soviets were mad, truly mad.

Yep , is the same concept of this Remote jumping mining system , but taken to the AIR instead. Rocket artillery fired a powerful laser scanner with a parachute aiming downwards ,chasing armor , and when it detected one , fire a projectile down towards any armor under it. Russia used that system in Syrian conflict but very rare times , but it looks the entire thing , is not 100% effective in all situations. For example Lasers ,don't work well in bad weather and smoke .

    This is old News.
2022-05-31 No fire from artillery and tanks was recorded, and there were no combat aircraft in the sky.
Unique PTKM-1Rs defeated an armored group in the Kherson region in a few minutes
    -------
The unique PTKM-1R destroyed an armored group in minutes, forcing the enemy to flee.
Two attempts to counterattack in the Kherson region ended in huge losses for the armored group of the Ukrainian military. As it turned out, the key factor in this is the use of unique PTKM-1R ammunition, which has never been seen before, used in combat conditions.
According to the deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, the Ukrainian military failed to achieve any significant success in the Kherson region.
"In recent days, Ukrainian troops have twice tried to break through the defense line in the Kherson region near the village of Davydov Brod. All attempts to break through by the Ukrainian army end in the death of soldiers who are driven to slaughter", - said Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region.
At the same time, the source reports that the Ukrainian military, who managed to retreat, talk about unexpected attacks on armored vehicles, although no fire from artillery and tanks was recorded, and there were no combat aircraft in the sky.
“The surviving Ukrainian military began to say that Russia used some kind of secret high-precision weapon. In fact, the counterattack of the battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was stopped by the "jumping" PTKM-1R, or anti-roof mines ", - gives information to the publication "Life".
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation does not comment on the information about the use of PTKM-1R, however, such weapons can be quite effective.
    -------
Russian intelligence uncovered the AFU plan in advance, thanks to which the Ukrainian army lost its main and only advantage. As a result, the Ukrainian battalion-tactical group was lured into a "firing bag" and then destroyed. As a result, according to preliminary estimates, the AFU lost more than 200 people killed plus several dozen soldiers who could not be identified. The AFU also lost almost 20 armored vehicles: tanks, APCs, armored personnel carriers, and BMPs.

This is a new variant of the "ancient" BAT munition, which our company worked on, circa about 1980. In that era, the acoustic technology was particularly good, especially with regard with wind noise suppression. The original BAT had four extended arms and was clumbsy to launch and fly. The cost of the project, and the product itself, essentially made it too expensive to deploy into the field. Nowdays you can do this for about 100$usd for the electronics and sensors, and the rest is just a protective casing, which looks to be about 2000$usd.

I've always wondered - ever since I saw a new antipersonnel/anti-ship missile on display in a country I won't name, which was wrapped in tungsten cubes and designed to shred the ship's personnel - how the people designing these things can sleep at night. Imagine being asked what you want to do when you grow up, and saying "I want to design the most effective killing machines possible". Then you gain all that knowledge, do all that studying, and spend your working life dreaming up more and more fiendish ways to kill human beings. I'm not talking about the soldiers deploying these devices. Being a soldier is all about killing the enemy and surviving yourself, and the morality of it (except where war crimes are concerned) doesn't really enter into it. No, I'm talking about those fine, upstanding men and women who may be parents themselves, or loving partners, and certainly the son or daughter of a human being, quietly dedicating themselves to the killing of other sons, husbands, fathers, wives and daughters. We humans are morally little better than chimpanzees, and far more inventive.

The worst part is, it feels and sounds just like a soldier launching an rpg at you. If it kills your tank, your tank is dead, if it doesn’t it will make you search for the next hour and will give you anxiety until the end of the war.

Do you ever notice that Russia loves to show their weapons when they are in prototype stage. Like they will show an airplane that looks very cool and impressive before it goes into production and then once it does go into production they make like 12 of them and that’s it. This one they’re showing in demonstration mode is probably made of plastic and something that they hope to make one day.
