Very cool. I don’t know if anyone else viewing this thought the same as me, but this is basically the Songbird espresso machine. Wish this was mass produced (and yes, sans capsules) so I could buy one but it looks handcrafted and one of a kind. What a delightful, intricate machine.
Love the modern, simple, and elegan coffee maker..
The aesthetic loving side of me really likes this, but the sewing machine collector in me does not. A pitty that a Pfaff hand crank had to be destroyed. Yet this is quite brilliant, nice job :)

I was so excited until I saw the little coffee pod. Then all of that excitement went out the window. Not as cool, or impressive. It's just the aesthetic appeal.
Would have been better with freshly ground coffee, and using the hand crank on the flywheel to brew the coffee

I want to make one but as a non-electric coffee press. Would be cool to incorporate the fly wheel to press the hot water through. I'm sure it could somehow be done.

I get really tired of seeing people take plastic crap and painting it or some other rubbish like sticking gears on it and calling it steampunk, the very ethos is about making things out of REAL MATERIALS! Leather, brass, copper, steel, wood. That's what makes steampunk so awesome! Not plastic!
