    NZR need to change that rule. I remember the 2008 top 4 final between De La Salle and Hamilton Boys 6-6. De La Salle won cause they kicked the 1st penalty. These young men don’t train and play all season to be knocked out from a draw.

    • @BodgeAttack
      @BodgeAttack 2 года назад

      That is credited as a draw. They split the title.

      @goldenchild19 2 года назад +4

      @@BodgeAttack my point is even though that’s a draw Napier still go through. Which is even worse. I get that cause of age group level they don’t want them playing 80mins but why not? These young men are fitter than most club teams that play 80mins.

      @@goldenchild19 yeah it is an odd one that doesn't really make sense. I only realized the other day that they are not allowed to push in the scrum by more than 1.5m or they get penalized. Lots of sports do it as well for some reason. Like in college basketball the 3point line is closer. Why?

    Some interesting calls for both sides. Pedestrian officiating for a game of this importance, especially at the scrum and breakdown.

      At that age group it is not allowed to play more than 70min. Napier Boys win because they've scored more tries. That's what I read somewhere else.

    Absolutely idiotic from World Rugby and NZR. These big Polynesians already have the advantage of biological maturity and body size, let the European kid utilise his one advantage in fitness.
