Practice Exercises For Trefoil Knot

- This video contains three practice exercises to understand the bends involved in the trefoil knot design. The full tutorial for the trefoil knot will be posted in a few days.
There are two different bends used in the trefoil knot. The first is the exact same as the bends from Thoki Yenn's Umulius Rectangulum design. The second is similar, but the creases are off center which makes it a little more difficult to collapse. I isolate each of the bends for these practice exercises. There is also a third practice exercise with three bends connected. If you can complete this exercise, you should be ready to fold the trefoil knot as it is just a series of the two types of bends alternating.

Absolutely! You can come up with all sorts of stuff using it. Here's one I made in 2015 using the impossible rectangles but I made the pieces an extra unit longer so I could link more together: flic.kr/p/Dj1EyG
