Pretty sure there are restrictions placed on what you can say as a comedian on this show. That might partly explain why all these routines feel very safe and not really funny. In fact, 95% of comedians on AGT just give off the vibe of trying too hard, which makes their act come across as cringey. I'm sure outside of AGT they might be a little more successful, where they can talk without any filters on.

@@josephjoe4180 You don't have to use foul or vulgar language to be an outstanding comedian, if that's what you're referring to when you talk about "safe routines". Being bold and edgy in comedy doesn't depend on how close you come to crossing the line of decorum, but on how creatively provocative you can design your act in order to wow your audiences.
I love when moments like this happen. He had an idea, guts, and went out there and told pants jokes....and then he got applause!!!! That must've felt SOOOO GOOD.

This was actually a lot funnier than I expected it to be. The jokes flowed fast and well. He's brilliant. Also, loved Heidi's reaction "Mr. Pants, I don't know how to say it, but your fly is open and something is poking out."

The shop I work at was full of people one day and my coworker came in with her new puppy. I asked her what his name was and she said it was “Maze” I told her that’s a corny name and only one person caught it and laughed and it wasn’t even the Mexican girl.
Loved this standup. Mr. Pants didn't come short with the jokes at all. Kept it brief and tailored.
He's got a lot of comedic talent under his "belt"! At least he didn't make a com"pleat" fool of himself. It's not as easy as it "seams"! Can he maintain this level of apparel humor?

The facial expressions are priceless. He is very smart...not easy to do what he did. Loved him! Best ever! Well prepared! Timing was incredible! All of it was on point! Years of perfecting, I'm sure.
I agree---he was so well rehearsed and prepared and it felt spontaneous which is a mark of a great comic.

Well, he wasn’t slacking in the puns department and I am here for it!
At first I didn't like him but by the end of the routine, I totally understood the world he was creating and I wanted more. Let's see how far he can take this.

To many who aren't into comedy its hard to see people don't laugh when you're doing comedy than to see people don't get emotional when they're doing drama.

He managed to 'Stirrup' some laughs with his 'Flare' and that's the 'Skinny.' Although I 'Pegged' him for a 'Sailor' he was a 'Straight' up 'Carpenter.' 'Overall' I liked the cut of his yokes.
