These places are nice but they need to stop exaggerating returns. You will not get 15% to 20% return on investment. Realistically, you are likely to get 5% to 7%. Remember that you have to maintain the unit to stay competitive. In addition, if renting for people coming on trips, you have to spend on water, electricity and internet. (You can have caps but if your cap is too low you end up not being the best option). I am not picking on this developer but these Accra developers in general.

All of a sudden your investment is not worth next to nothing. Accra developers in general are so ready, they charge western prices for third world economies because they try and maximise their margins as much as possible. If it's working for them at the moment, fair enough but the Accra housing bubble will burst at some point.
