In the Cantonese world, no channel could bring diverse and in-depth views of international relation, geopolitics and practicing philosophy, as much as what Professor Shum does today. While the bourgeois mission may limit the audience traffic, extended business activities are encouraged to make the channel sustainable. Fully support!!
RUclips has a low barrier of entry for people with some meaningful things to say. The revenue system do not encourage nor sustain serious substantial work. Simply put the system does not favour gradual increase in readership. To deliver program, podcast aiming to hit viral is not part of your vision. An ideal initial outfit is to have several anchors each supported by their team of researchers. In short you need a war chest, sugar daddy, money men, to bankroll the whole outfit full time to maintain a respectable standard. I think there is a market for it. Good luck.

其實希望這個台可以定期介紹書本給大家，或者一啲比較深嘅書有一些嘅導讀，好老土，但係好珍貴
一件可以投入而又能獲得意義和成就感的事係好難得，退休都可以繼續做啫，加油
針對呢十個矛盾，建議：
1、畀啲機會觀眾上臺分享，有收視率就拆錢分廣告費，亦可以投稿，做大個餅。
2、與其建立智庫不如先從出版商做起，開一間網絡出版社，幫觀眾出版書籍（收費）。
3、多啲喺世界各地開網聚，網劇形式要淡化政治色彩，更似一個普通嘅social party。
4、多啲採訪名人youtuber（非一般不知名專業人士），包括日韓歐美臺，真正開啟視野，參考百靈果。
大眾化左就變成娛樂台，係咪真係想做既事可能有矛盾

一直都覺得呢幾年啲youtuber做得成功嘅都係收錢講自己想講嘢野先，一係就做clickbait搵食。前者一係有大眾有興趣話題，一係就靠supporter支撐做content…Supporter就一定要無私啲⋯一係就比啲privilege佢，如果目的係整supporter exclusive content咁 唔洗放youtube la, 放Patreon算把啦
希望付費內容可以係延後(eg一個月後)出現在免費區，而不是一半免費一半付費
如果你唔需要計收入就唔需要care...好似你返工唔係為搵錢既你做乜都可以 你個channel名係你 真係堅離地
