      @@escasticlight not true. the reaon why computers dont play some openings is that because they see it as fundementally worse than other openings. so yes, if your moves are very good all game. a book move can be indeed be the worse. hope this helps

      This is one game. Magnus has played many games with 100%. Tal is a legend tho
      Edit: Magnus sits at the top undisputed. When tal was WC many people could challenge them. If you want to make the time argument it would really apply to Bobby Fischer who was so much better than everyone else in his time by like 300 elo

    My favorite player ever, Mikhaïl Tal, for those who wants to know more about him you can read a book written by his wife called “ checkmate”. An amazing biography with a lot of details that will make you cry!

    Tal vs Magnus:
    Tal's time: No internet, No computer (engine like stockfish). No GM coach, Everything from scratch.
    Magnus time: with internet, computer lines, engines, books from previous generation, including learning materials from classical generation (including books of tal, fischer etc.), Coached by by previous WC. Almost spoonfeeded by previous legends. All Book Moves has been memorized.

    Keeps developing and attacking, in the best Morphy style. Much better prepared than his opponent, letting e6 unprotected is fatal in this variation, as it is in the Fischer-Sozin attack.
